So the backstory is that I've told my mom that I'll try to take the mcat in jan a couple months ago as just a side comment (but i didn't sign up for it). Time flashes, I just finished biochem and I wasn't able to take it in January. Then, I could sense her anxiety and slight disappointment so I told her maybe i'll take it in march, but all the spots were taken up. So I signed up for May. She was pretty disappointed and said that I should be on top of things and said she gets it because she also struggles with procrastination.
No one in my family is a physician, so she doesn't know anything about how the mcat works except from my anxious dumps and telling her what I've heard/seen so far from others that have taken it.
Right now, I'm doing an honors thesis spending more than 20 hrs a week in lab among other commitments. And after two ish weeks of this grueling study schedule I'm down with a sickness that I'm pretty sure caused from the stress and overworking. So I told her that I think this kinda her fault, that I could be taking it a bit easier had she not been so anxious and had reflected my anxiety. I know I could've said it a bit better but with the frustration from being sick and other things on my plate that's how it came out. I was implying that once in a while it would be nice if she said something like "it's okay to take it slow, make sure you're fully prepared and take it when you are ready."
I just wish she took a couple minutes out of her day and looked up the specs of the mcat instead of listening to my unrealistic schedules and expectations for myself. She and I are similar in the sense that we're quick to anxiety and judgement. Also, I'm taking two gap years so I could be taking the mcat next year around this time at the latest.
AITA for telling her this is her fault?

My 95yo grandfather has an iPad 2 which he uses solely for FaceTime and iMessaging family. At some point photos sent via iMessage have stopped appearing- he gets an icon with the file type but can't see the actual pictures. These are all HEIC images, I'm not sure if that's relevant, even when e.g. my iPhone setting is for most compatible.
Is this just because the iPad is ancient, or is there some setting he might have changed?
He has advanced dementia and change is upsetting and confusing for him. We've offered to get him a newer iPad but he refuses as he's comfortable with this one.
Any advice is much appreciated!

My existing 240V circuit to the garage has 10 gauge wire. My electrician installed a 35A breaker for the 32A max VW level 2 charger. I’m not an electrician, but 32A over 10 gauge wire seems a bit high since there are recommendations to use a 30A breaker on 10 gauge wire The MyVW app has only two level 2 charging speeds Max 32A and Reduced 10A. I want a setting between 10 and 32A. I haven’t tried digging into the infotainment settings to see if I can reduce the Max charging amperage. Is this possible?

In short, I decided to start playing dreamcast games, and since then I have been looking for games to play that support achievements, not necessarily for mastery (I would only do that if I really liked the game), but rather to see how many achievements I could get playing normally. The problem is that from what I've seen, there are relatively few games available with achievements (considering the number of games that exist for the dreamcast). And most of the time I find a game that seems really good, I look for it on RA and see that there are no achievements, which ends up being very frustrating, and that's why I came here to ask for recommendations on dreamcast games that have achievements. , preferably games outside the obvious (sonic adventure, jet set radio, crazy taxi, code veronica, etc.).
Oh, I also accept recommendations for PSP games.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my septoplasty journey so far and get some insights from others who’ve gone through something similar.
I was diagnosed with a deviated septum and chronic sinusitis after a sports-related injury. My left nostril was 90% blocked, which made breathing a constant struggle. I was a habitual mouth breather, dealing with a runny nose, congestion, sore throat, and frequent pain in my forehead and around my eyes. After years of frustration, I decided to go through with the surgery to improve my quality of life.
I had a closed septoplasty with turbinate reduction on December 24th, so I’m about three weeks post-op now. The procedure was all internal, with no external stitches. Initially, I was hopeful, but I’ve been feeling pretty anxious about my recovery so far.
Here’s where I’m at: • My left nostril feels only about 30-40% open, which is an improvement but far from what I’d hoped. • I still have many of the same sinusitis symptoms, including congestion, forehead pressure, and occasional sore throats. • Sometimes, it feels as though my septum is still severely deviated to the left, making me question if the surgery truly fixed the problem.
I’ve read that recovery from septoplasty can take months, and in some cases, up to a year to see the full benefits. But the slow progress has been tough to deal with, especially as it’s still impacting my daily life, including work and school.
For those of you who’ve had a similar procedure: • How long did it take before you noticed significant improvement? • Did your breathing feel worse before it got better during the recovery process? • Is it normal to feel like the septum is still off so early in recovery?

I just accepted a new job and will be moving from CA to WA. My current car is an EV with about 70 miles of range. It’s been great for my current commute, but it won’t make sense for my new role and would be an added cost to ship.
I need to drive due to my pets, so I want to trade in my EV and buy a used hybrid in CA and drive it to WA. I want to avoid paying double registration fees in both states.
Is it possible to buy the car in CA but register it directly in WA? I’m planning to buy the car the week before I move, and I’ll have a signed lease for an apartment in WA by then. Any advice on how to handle this smoothly would be awesome, thanks in advance!

Even if we set aside Rajat's background, Karan has clearly performed better and given a lot to the show. Meanwhile, Rajat hasn’t been as impressive. It’s like how Shilpa lived the show, while Hina played it.
That said, votes will make all the difference, and I now believe Rajat will win despite everything. Fan support often overshadows performance in bigg boss lately, and it looks like that’s going to be the case here too.
P.S. Shilpa haters, stay away. I supported Hina back then too, but in the finale, Shilpa felt more deserving because she made a special place in people’s hearts and truly lived the show just like Karan.
What do you think? Is Rajat’s fan support enough to secure his win, or does Karan still stand a chance?

My name is Andrew. I am 25, and from the United States. I am currently overseas on a deployment. I haven't had very many friends most of my life, only one or two really. I'm open with talking to males, but I usually prefer females since I tend to be more emotional when I write. It seems to be one of the only ways I can properly express and articulate my emotions haha.
I'm down to talk on social media, reddit, E-mail, or snail mail. Snail mail is awesome and I just got a new stationary set with lots of fancy new pens and wax seals. I usually use social media or reddit for getting to know one another, and E-mail for faster and more intimate/detailed communications.
I find it really hard to connect with people. When I do, I tend to get quite a bit of anxiety and sometimes am too much for people, especially in romantic relationships. I'm working on it, but therapy and self improvement are slow and steady processes. I'm very loyal, adaptable, loving, open, honest, and caring. I'm very empathetic, but also very logically minded.
I love writing. I study history, calligraphy, and I love sealing envelopes and writing old-fashioned letters. I love computers. I've been building them since I was 6. I also love gaming and building things. Especially Legos and woodworking furniture. I am currently trying to re-learn piano!
I have many stories to share about my travels across the world, and hopefully learn from someone else's view and perspective and make a new friend or two in the process.
My hobbies and interests include but are not limited to:
Painting models (WWII and Warhammer), Video Games, Books, Science-Fiction, Technology, History Studies, Movies
As far as topics go, I'm down to talk about anything. Science Fiction and space stuff will definitely get a rise out of me. I could talk about my passions for hours, but I'd also love to listen to yours.
