I have come to realize in the last couple of months that my mom is emotionally abusive and a narcissistic mother. Events have played out that have made me realize these things. We lived 8 hours away from each other at the time. I work at a lodge where room and board is included with pay. The season had just ended and the lodge was closed to guests. I had recently started dating my boyfriend, he is wonderful and the healthiest relationship I’ve ever had. I developed optic neuritis and it was a scary time. They rushed me to an mri because I was losing vision. Which scared me and I called my dad in distress. He then updated my mom and she told me she wanted to come stay with me while this was all going on. First of all, I had a good friend taking me to all of my appointments and the scariest part was over. I also told her that I didn’t feel comfortable asking the owners if she could come stay. I knew they would be fine with it, but I know my mom well enough to know that she would make the situation more stressful. My boyfriend was also working as a cook for elk camp that week, so he had no idea this was all going on and I didn’t want to surprise attack him with my mom being there when he came out. He would have handled it fine, the relationship was so fresh that I did not want to put that pressure on him. My mom then called the owners herself and asked if she could come stay there! I was furious, when I told her that she then went on to explain why she did it and that she wasn’t trying to make me mad. Which is her justifying what she did and invalidating my feelings, also refusing to acknowledge she crossed a clear boundary. Her apology was “I’m sorry if I made you mad.”
Some back story, three years ago I was in a bad accident while working on another ranch that was even closer to her at the time. She was busy at the time it happened and did not come rushing to my side like this. I fractured my spine in three places, the ranch manager was terrible and kicked me out a week after it happened. I had to rely on friends I made that summer to help me pack up my things and drive my car to my sisters. I cannot help but think my mom had ulterior motives rushing to be with me, being that she wanted to insert herself in my love life. She has done something similar to my sister and I was not about to risk her doing that to me.
I have been home now with my dad for the winter. It has been good and I’ve been taking care of my doctor appointments, trying to save money. Since I have been home, when my mom comes to visit, it is brutal. She makes the house so tense, my body sends me stress signals when I’m around her. My eye twitches, develop a knot in my chest, tight muscles, anxious. I constantly feel on alert, bracing for whatever hurtful thing she will say next. She has said terrible things such as “I feel like a failure as a parent.” But acts like these things aren’t wrong and hurtful. She is extremely controlling and critical. Since I have been observing my family more closely, I can see patterns she shares with my grandma. Grandma is very bitter and witchy. My mom’s parents are also very emotionally manipulative. Always wanting you to sit in their house with them, guilting you while you’re there about how you don’t visit enough. When you leave you didn’t stay long enough. It has made me want to work on emotional intelligence and schedule therapy appointments because I must break the cycle. My mom comes back to visit in March and I’m hoping by then I’ll be established with my therapist and set up an appointment for both of us to go.

What I love about Lumon Industries the most is how at "face value" (wink wink) we have this shiny and modern corporation with cutting-edge technology and glass buildings, very much 21st century in appearance, but underneath the facade is this cult-like herd devoted to its founder Kier Eagan who literally lived in a different century and his values and principles and teachings, all of which don't really have a place in our modern world anymore, but is still living on behind closed doors in Lumon Industries.
The severed employees are essentially children, perfect for indoctrinating and sculpting into ideal Kier worshippers and workers who want to be proud to work for Kier, to dedicate and devote their life to him.
It's jarring and fucking creepy how they're a clearly dangerous cult existing in plain sight.

My cousin asked me to attend this "become a travel agent" zoom meeting she is part of calked "Travel to Financial Freedom".
Now, cousin or no cousin, I assume virtually everything is a scam in my middle age after learning the hard way in my younger years. I'm the jerk that sees the DirecTV salesman coming my way down the aisle at Costco and make an obvious, almost cartoonist 180 to show I don't want to talk, so let's not waste each other's time.
I have never heard of this organization, can't find any information online which is an obvious red flag. But I thought I would check in with my favorite subreddit I've been stalking to see if anyone has heard of it and if so, what their angle is.

I got my Mirena December 12th 2024 (5 weeks ago) (just over a month ago) to manage irregular periods due to PCOS. However, after having light spotting in the first week, I’ve been bleeding none stop for 30 days since the second week.
So far It’s been changing between light, medium and heavy depending on the severity of my cramps, but in the last week it was the was the worst it had ever been. Then a couple days ago I noticed pieces of what looks like flesh was coming out with the blood. After doing some research I think it might have been a decidual cast as the cramps have now turned into a light discomfort and the bleeding is very light.
Is it normal to get a decidual cast after the mirena IUD? and is it a sign that it’s doing what it’s meant to before the bleeding finally stops?
Has anyone experienced this with their Mirena and if you have, how long did you bleed until it finally stopped?
(This has just been getting in the way of my life and at this point I’d rather have my irregular 7-11 days periods than this 😭) if anyone could give ya girl some reassurance that this was a good idea, that would be amazing, thank you 🥹

All signs point to yes and since I don't shoot comp or trust my life with this gun then that's all I need.
