I just got my snake bites downsized two weeks after the inital piercing because swelling had gone down quite a bit and i kept biting the bars. However, I had to go to another piercer than the one I initially went to to get it done. He was ROUGH with it. I've read that it can be rough and it's common, but I tasted blood and I didn't even bleed when i originally got them done. Now I can feel that there's a little flap of skin that's sitting next to/over the piercing inside my mouth like he ripped it up more. I'm worried about the inside of my lip trying to heal and my skin growing over the piercing because of it. Do I keep the downsized bars in or should I change them back to the longer ones at home? I'm terrified of the one embedding because of this. I'm going to be sad if I have to change back to the other jewelry bc the jewelry I bought was cute too:( but I'd rather my piercings heal right.

2025.01.18 05:50 PainLuxe Does my professor find me attractive? Should I drop?
So, I work at the college I attend in one of the Departments, and there’s this one professor I grew to notice & like during the fall semester. He would often come into the office during his lunch break and greet me with a warm smile and a sweet “hello.” I started to recognize him more because most of the professors in the department didn’t really say hi when they walked into the office or acknowledge the assistants. I’ve never really had a conversation with him, except for one time on Halloween when he complimented my cow headband and said he liked it and it’s cute.
Near the end of the fall semester, I was working alongside one of my friends, who also works in the Department, when he came in. He made eye contact with me, gave me his usual smile, and said hi. After he went into the kitchen area of the office, I whispered to my friend, “He’s so attractive,” and we both started giggling because she didn’t think he was. I’m pretty sure he overheard us because even our boss, who was in her office, asked what we were giggling about.
Fast forward to this semester, I decided to take one of his courses. My main options were already full, and his course was right up my ally of interest. The first day of class was on Tuesday, and when I walked in and took my seat, he had a surprised look and said, “Oh, hi,” to me. While he explained the syllabus, he passed around some recommended books. Somehow, a couple of them ended up with me by the end of the lecture. Some other students put the books they had on his desk (he didn’t say anything to them) but when I brought them up to him. He looked at me, said “thank you,” and I just smiled and replied, “you’re welcome.” Then I noticed him look downward and back up at me, making eye contact again. It made flustered, and since I’m already a bit awkward, I just grabbed my shit & rushed out of the class after that. I was a bit confused on why he just looked over me like that, I started wondering if it was because he liked what I was wearing. I didn’t want to jump him finding me attractive.
Fast forward to the second day of his class, and things felt a bit different. During his lecture, he barely made eye contact with me. It almost seemed like he was avoiding it, even when he glanced toward my side of the room. I think he only made solid eye contact with me once. Toward the end of class, he went around the room having everyone reintroduce themselves so he could remember names. When it was my turn, he said my name before I even had the chance to say it myself and moved on to the next person.
Am I reading too much into this, or could he find me attractive or something else? I’m kinda worried this semester is gonna be awkward because of whatever is going on. I’m thinking about just dropping the course, even though it’s a simple one & I’m interested in the topic.

Bill saves Frank only to finally get attached to someone. Then that someone refuses to get old and die but instead gets Bill to commit suicide and murder. Frank decides to opt out of suffering which mean Bill can’t go on and deal with the loneliness so he kills himself too. To me that was a very anti gay subplot. They also just hole up in their little cul de sac and just ignore the plight of everyone else, help no one just have a bunch of Gay sex till Frank is in a wheelchair. I think everyone who thinks that was an inclusive cute subplot missed the underlying tones in the show to get what it really meant. The whole show has a very pro life anti utilitarian message where vengeance is the Lord’s and you don’t sacrifice others for the greater good. Overall amazing show and game, I loved it.

2025.01.18 05:50 PRPHTop Looking to upgrade ‘99 Aeron. Need advice.
Was gifted this Aeron recently and had no idea what it was until a friend told me. It has some dust at the bottom I haven’t gotten around to blowing off yet but aside from that it seems flawless. It even came with an extra lumbar pad thing (not sure if OEM).
The sitting experience is fine but seems a little underwhelming.After watching videos and becoming a bit more informed on the high-end chair market, I’ve come to like the Leap V2.
Would it be a good idea to try to sell this Aeron and put the money toward a Leap? I know I won’t be getting that much since it’s old, but I’m honestly fine with whatever seems fair. The Leap I’d get would be from Crandall so a clean, refurbished Leap with upgraded padding for about half the cost.
Don’t know where to start or how I should get the process going, I figured I’d start here. Hope this all makes sense.

Ok, so, this past week, my class wrote a timed RA essay to simulate the AP test. I got a 95 on it because my analysis isn't deep enough. I have a hard time analyzing the texts we're given because I physically CANNOT relate it to a bigger picture, of find the underlying hidden messages that the author is trying to address in such a short amount of time.
