Hey guys!
I’m 21 and I’ve been collecting since 2019. I’ve dipped my toes in most brands, but I’ve always favored Hasbros Marvel Legends for their durability, not having to worry about them breaking.
Fast forward to last year when I started watching Dragon Ball Z with my brother, (my first and only anime show) and we got some SH figuarts from Target to try the brand, I was skeptical because for some reason I think imports are crazy fragile.
So getting Vegeta in my hand he definitely didn’t feel as solid but I didn’t feel he was going to break unless I forced him.
So I’ve been topping off my collection and I had one favorite X-Men character left that Hasbro just refused to remake, and that was Psylocke. I love her so much but Hasbro refuses to do her anymore. Or Elektra but anyway, I bought my first ever Mafex figure to finish off my collection.
Now to the question. What should I be aware of? I am pretty careful but are there any tips and tricks on them? I figure if it’s too fragile I could resell for retail and just wait for Hasbro, but I think she looks super good and I wanna try out the brand. Do they feel more durable than a figuarts or are they the same?

Things have not been the greatest to start the year, but I want to try harder and work on making 2025 a better experience than last year. It has been a steep, uphill battle, but I'm slowly making my way through it. I would love to have someone by my side. I want to be by her side to make her be the best she can be. I'm not very picky. I just want someone local who I can enjoy being with physically while she enjoys my company. You don't have to be an introverted hermit that plays video games and watches TV like me. I used to love pokemon as a kid. Throughout the years I dropped it because of life and messing around as a young dipshit. Now that I'm older and live in a place where they're at all the places I visit daily, I told myself, fuck it let's buy a pack. Pulled a SAR the first pack. Immediately hooked. The chance of getting something rare with super dope artwork was nice. Pulled the UR pikachu v star on one of the most important special days to me, so I will always hold on to that. Started researching it (all the rarities and everything, didn't know how complex it got) God damn this is cool, it excited me to go to the store and just buy a couple packs and see what the pokemon gods blessed me with that day, like a Forest Gump Christmas never know what you're gunna get. Bought a binder to start planning out my collection but this last month seemed dark.
So is it fucked now??. Everywhere I go to now is out of stock. I see people fighting over packs and price gauging. I don't even care about certain packs I just want to pull a cool card. It seems like the greed is overshadowing the nature of it. Man I was just trying to enjoy a casual collecting hobby

I made a little air cannon out of 1 1/2” ABS. You fill it with pressurized air with a compressor or a bike pump. I use a PVC ball valve to release the air and it shoots a throw bag in the air. I use it to get a rope up into a tree.
Using the ball valve isn’t ideal because it’s kind of uncomfortable to turn, and also how quickly you open the valve has a big impact on the performance.
What are some things I could try instead?
