I'm new to hockey and decided to follow the Canucks for a number of reasons. After watching a dozen or so games i'm starting to wonder what the problem is.
I keep hearing Petterson and Miller don't get along, but Petey has said that there are no issues.
Also it would seem that it's more of a gameplay or tactical issue?
I don't get why there are so many "shoot the puck into the offensive zone and hope someone gets to it" type of plays. Coming from a football background, it's best to keep posession and play it safe. Possesion means you control the game. Maybe that's a little different in hockey?
So yeah those are some questions i have, but as i'm new i'm just looking to soak up as much info as i can, so just shoot me down please!

Look so to sum things up. I'm 30(M) with a 31(F) We've been together for 12 years. Things have been rocky to say the least for a while now but it's getting progressively worst lately. Like on a different level to the point of where I'm concerned about it. I wish I was able to post screenshots of everything but I'm not.
I am being manipulated, taken advantage of, And being used as a punching bag. I have agreed to stay (I left once and demanded change and saw it I really did) but now it's slipping right back into what it used to be with her.
The mental abuse, financial, And everything else that accumulates over the years is completely out of hand now.
Idk what to do to either fix it or make a permanent escape from it all. Because there's no way I realize now that I can get any sort of self realization out of her. I'm sick of it. But I love her and I don't want to give up on someone I love like people did me. I came from a background of dad commiting suicide when I was 18 then blaming whilst doing so so my complex is nothing but guilt. But somehow she keeps making feel shamed about who I am and what I want. There's most definitely a big power perspective and narcissistic sense of control happening here.
What's bad though is I see it all but somehow keep waking up going right back to it. I'm weak and feel like a fucking idiot honeslty. Idk what the fuck to do. There's kids at risk involved too so please keep that in mind as well before responding immediately with just fuck her type of shit.
I just wish I had the mindset and headspace to make it make more sense.

Has anyone noticed how Etsy just changed the aspect ratio on photos of merchandise? Almost every single one of our shop photos has been cropped/zoomed in and now look horrible and sloppy. We have spent so much time on taking the perfect pictures and now itās going to take us weeks to retake photos. It looks like itās website wideā¦..Anyone dealing with this and what should we do as a collective to fix the issue?
On a side note Instagram has done the same thing. I feel this is due to the recent TiK Tok ruling and they are trying to get ārefugeesā to use their platforms. However, in the process itās screwing over their entire base. Whatās wild is that there was zero notice.

i've been seeing posts here about hours drastically decreasing but i was lucky enough that my store had decent hours past few months.
starting next week, it's looking barren. and the two weeks after that, even more sad.
i'm fortunate enough to still be at 40/hrs but i know the work is going to be hell. some of my favorite people to work with are only getting 4-6 hours per week! that's insane.
it's so ass not even affording a 15 minute break. 75% of the time, i'll tell my front cashier that i'm sitting down to go eat in the office.
then a line builds up. then the speaker announcement to open a case. then they need an override (i'm not mad at my cashier btw). i finally get the chance to sit back down then another fuggin' case needs to be opened!!
shit sucks. i'm starting to apply to other management positions.

And does it matter? If so, when? Is it ok to accept that some things are ambiguous for a reason (only God knows, or we donāt need answers)? I struggle with friends who left the reformed church for āBible Churchesā saying that doctrine isnāt necessary because they just believe the scripture. All churches believe the scripture, as they understand it. What more is the Heidelberg catechism (for example) than a more hearty commitment to doing what you do when you just āread the Bibleā? Is it wrong that I donāt care what I donāt know? In my mind, itās more entertainment than salvation to try and understand the mind of god. Likeā¦ who tf am I?

I work a full time job but in addition to that I do various side hustles through out the year.
I've considered incorporating at least one LLC to do the work under. As I understand it, I have two options currently:
- Continue doing side hustle work as sole proprietor, report as self employment income and pay income tax on it.
- Incorporate LLC, do all work under it, and in addition to the same income tax I would pay regardless, also pay another 15.3% self empyment tax on that income.
