A while ago, I had a class where my teacher, a total expert in human behavior, dropped the gem that "there are only two types of attraction:" romantic and sexual. I mean, if you find someone attractive, it's obviously because you want to sleep with them. No āI just think they're good-lookingāā¦ that doesn't exist!
And the best part was that EVERYONE agreed. The whole class seemed like a cult discussing sexual attraction like we were discovering America, and I was sitting there thinking, āWhat if they just look good and that's it?ā Is that not allowed?ā But the teacher spoke with such confidence that if I said anything, I'd probably get suspended for heresy. š
It was literally like receiving an entire philosophy course condensed into one sentence: āIf you like how they look, itās because you want to fuck them.ā Such deep wisdom. š
Because of course, aesthetic attraction is made up, platonic attraction doesn't count, and being asexual or aromantic must be a fantasy. According to this, if someone looks cute, you're obviously ready to jump on them. Wow, thanks for the life lesson, teacher.
Am I exaggerating or was the class shit? It bothers me a lot because I love to tell people how pretty or attractive I think they are and I find it uncomfortable that people around me think that I want something or something like that.
But anyway, am I the only one who's had to sit through these pearls of wisdom, or has anyone else been blessed with equally enlightened teachers?

However Iām trying to make way for pens Iād use more given I have long sessions of note taking and studying, and my cursive sucks.

Condition - (B-D), explained below
- nib and feed: (B) in great condition, semiflex keeps up, flexes easily with light pressure and is very responsive. The nib and feed is really why I thought I was on the fence about selling it. I DID NOTICE: when I was taking zoomed in photos with my phone, I saw a tiny Knick (nick?) on the left side of the nib I never noticed before. I havenāt taken this pen off my desk so must have been from its previous owner(s).
- pen body (external): (C). While the red ripple coloring is still vibrant, I wouldnāt feel comfortable calling this āexcellentā. The āWatermanā engraving is faded. One part of the bottom of the pen where some engraving/ lettering used to be slightly peeled before my ownership, though it hasnāt progressed and only seems like it will if you pick at it. The cap-ring has a little brassing.
Internal: (D). The sac was replaced by the previous owner before selling, so while itās in good condition and has given me no issues, itās not an original part of the pen. Iāve only used vintage safe inks in this guy ā perle noir and serenity blue.

And when we see Mark's screen, we see that each folder indeed seems to contain very precise ratios of the four tempers generated by whatever it is that Mark is putting into each bucket. We know little about what projects the files represent. However, we do have that hint from the Lexington letter - an explosion of Lumonās competitorās vehicles after Peggy finishes refining her file. Many have theorized that Markās project is to ārefineā Gemma/MsCasey, so seeing this photo here is very exciting. I don't know what MDR does, but I wonder what the folders, with what I now see are buckets contaning different ratios of the four tempers, mean. In "Cold Harbor" for example, 5 different personas based on Ms Casey? I also have many thoughts about the name since I believe the show's corporate-dystopia present is based in significant part on two particular historical moments (Civil War and WW2), Lumonās history and the showās but I wonāt go into that now. Iām just curious about everyoneās thoughts on what the folders and their precise ratio of tempers could mean for the MDRs work.
