2025.01.18 05:41 Anonymous-bro25 MRI Tech Career Change?
I recently graduated from a big 10 university and obtained a B.S. degree in UX Design. Since graduating the job market for UX has sucked and its very hard to find a job. When you do finally land a job in UX the job security is low. Due to this (and some other "corporate tech" reasons) I am looking at potentially shifting my career to be an MRI Tech. This would require me to obtain an associates degree from Ivy Tech.
I have read some posts on this sub and understand that the job can be stressful with patient scheduling, risk of injury, and people being gross.
I don't plan on having kids so pay is not too important for me. Anywhere from 60k-100k I am fine with. My biggest concern is job security. Do you think MRI Techs will still be in demand in two years? I do not want to make the same mistake I made in college. The career seems quite interesting to me and I think I would enjoy it.
What is your guy's opinion on this?

This might be a tough one but Just like the title says I wanted to know what would be the banality rating of the mummies through out various lore. So if a changleing met a mummy what would the glamour possiblity be like. Mummies are supposed be alive and therefore should dream. Would you count them like mages? Or something else. They are kind of religious so would they be more banal?

2025.01.18 05:41 PrincessOldHead I think I accidentally made my gym crush cancel his membership…
I started going to a new gym a little over a year ago. After some time of being consistent I started to notice this guy and I thought he was really cute.
I would catch him looking at me sometimes and I couldn't help but sneak glances of him as well. This went on for weeks but I was too scared to approach him and say hi because I wasn't sure if he was really into me or maybe he was taken.
After some time it got to a point where I figured out his gym schedule and what car he drives and I would look forward to going to the gym because I knew he would be there. Mind you we still haven't said a word to each other yet lol.
I'm not sure if he caught on that I was planning my gym time around his schedule because he would switch the times that he would come to an hour before or an hour later and I would notice and follow along harmlessly because seeing him was the highlight of my day. (Delusional I know)
One day after I came in earlier than I usually do to catch him I caught him looking at me with a weird look on his face. After that day I never saw him again.
I feel so bad, he may have switched gyms because he thought I was stalking him but it was totally harmless and I just liked seeing him up there. I could also be over thinking and he switched/cancelled for other reasons. I will never know because I never approached him.

Heya!!!! I just wanted to come rant onto here about this guy I think is super duper cute.
We go to the same school, share both morning and evening buses, those in which I always find myself scanning its surroundings in hopes of catching a short glimpse of him. Thing is, I do feel a certain attachment (maybe connection would be the right term — corny >p<)between us two, having reasons to believing it’s mutual. (Little, subtle yet valid reasons such as seeking proximity, rare, although climactic eye contact and other stuff like whenever I turn my head to look towards a certain direction he picks up a curious expression before doing so too and oml it's so sweet!!!) I don’t want to bore anyone so I’m just gonna cut straight to the point.
My problem is that I have no idea how to start talking to him. My social skills are awful. Like, clinically. I can’t concentrate on what another person’s saying, can't keep eye contact with them, can't reply properly, make jokes, smart observations. Ughhhh, it feels like I’m handicapped, or have severe brain damage. Maybe it’s just stubborn brain fog but still it’s so annoying. I haven’t made a single friend since middle school, and even then I was struggling. I feel like being isolated for so long took a real toll on me. Like I don’t feel like somebody, so it kind of catches me off guard whenever somebody initiates contact with me. I become hyperaware of everything I say or do. Having lived as an observer for so long, seeing this authentic, blissful image unfold before me then suddenly being asked to play a part in it — it's terrifying.
I'm drifting further and further away from the subject so never mind me "+.+
I was thinking of trying to get 12 hours of sleep in, do my best and just straight up telling him I've fallen for his charm, ask for his name… see where that leads us to.
