Current mission is pretty poor, only one mission per day and the pay is not appropriate. items using mission credits to exchange are too little. I think we should apply like OC 2.0 with a more diverse list of missions and rewards to encourage players to follow the assassin path.

2025.01.18 06:56 Euphoric_Ad1345 Anyone not able to return to sports after the ACL surgery?
It's been a 1 year post op, and I'm not nearly where I should be. I wasn't atheltic before I tore my ACL, and right now I still have trouble climing up and down stairs with ease . Maybe it's due to various factors, location, rehab, doctor, etc. But I feel hopeless. I kind of wish I never had the surgery.
I don't know if there are other people out there who tried but just couldn't get to where you wanted to be, whether it'd be sport or normal life? How did you handle that? Did you give up or kept on trying even now?
It's starting to affect me mentally and I don't know if I should keep trying, or accepting my situation as it is.

My main reasons for thinking this is because I find many things with the 'Frisk and the player are separate' theory to be weird in the narrative. I will also provide reasons why I think things do make sense if Frisk = the player.
Questions/concerns on if Frisk and the player were separate:
(1) What happens to Frisk in Neutral routes after we leave the game?
- I think the game makes it pretty clear that not playing the game after completion = leaving the 'timeline' alone and not resetting it.
- If the monsters ever escape in one of the cases where they hate Frisk, are they just going to kill them despite the fact that the player did the killing?
- Does Frisk just move on after basically getting possessed for a day or 2?
- With Chara in mind, they don't really get that much involvement in fighting or commenting on objects/flavor text.
- Most that's been confirmed to be 100% Frisk is simple actions and sentences unless you're in genocide route which then they're rendered almost no control whatsoever.
- The control they do get implies some form of consciousness during Undertale. Isn't this hella awkward then for Frisk?
- Sans threatens Frisk if you kill Papyrus.
- Chara just kind of murders Frisk outright.
- Asriel just kind of has a chat with Frisk at the end of True Pacifist and congratulates them on the player's actions which is kind of weird if you consider him to be someone who knows the distinction between the 2.
(1) I think it's implied that Flowey is talking to Chara(diegetically speaking) at the end
- This feels like something that is pointing at the player thematically but diegetically commenting on Chara not wanting to leave Flowey after Flowey has moved on. Kind of like litterally calling out Chara, but indirectly calling out the non-diegetic player and drawing parallels between the 2.
- Flowey calls 'you' by the name you put for the fallen human. The name put in place of Chara, the fallen human.
- Chara in the genocide route is eager to erase the world no matter your input because you activated them. With the player as Frisk, you are on the same level as a human. But with Chara, you now have the power of the saves. Chara kind of represents 'Determination' best as well, with most of the traits of that being shown in Chara so it would make sense that with a non-corrupted Chara, for Flowey to want them to move on as well, both for Chara's sake and for you to not have the determination/desire to start over again.
- Frisk even comments on these, like knowing what Sans is going to do.
- Frisk's body's body language and phrases align to the player's intentions in practically all routes.
- Things said to Frisk also often align to what the player is meant to hear.
- An interesting thing to note that while in Deltarune, you feel that characters like Susie, Berdly, Spamton, etc. project their feelings of themselves onto Kris and you, the red soul, take part in this, Undertale has many of the monsters projecting their feelings of prejudice(weather good or bad) based on other humans and in the case of Asriel, Chara onto both Frisk and the player.

I do 3D animation. My school district hosts a film festival annually. Submissions are due April 4th, so I have little under 3 months. I won the past two years in the Animation category, I’m planning to step it up a bit, I want my newest project to stand out among my previous ones. However, I’m having a little bit of a dilemma. I can’t seem to come up with a good idea! I either I feel like it’s too ambitious or too basic. Some of the only promising ideas I have at the moment involves a a stylized short film about a postman delivering his last package, he is required to put it in the mailbox, however, the package is very large and he needs to figure out a means of putting it into the mailbox. The other idea I had involves a scavenger in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by climate change encountering a cat. You may be asking why I’m questioning going off of these ideas. I’m mainly worried about the timeframe. For both ideas, I’m worried that when creating everything else (texturing, sets, character models, etc…) , I won’t have time to polish the actual animation itself. My past 2 films had very simplistic sets. My first one was took place in an empty blank room, my second one took place in a field. Am I just yapping now? I already wrote this much, why delete it all?

I remember there was a patch and I thought that was supposed to fix it but it didn't. I have seen a couple of posts saying there will be a 3rd patch but it's been almost a year now so I'm not sure if it was planned, cancelled, delayed, or just speculation.
Of course, I can use X-Cell but I'm not trying to solve the issue here, I'm interested in knowing if Bethesda will be making a fix and if there's been any word on it from them? All I can find through Google is people saying they don't think it will come, and old articles that seem to be speculating....hopeful there's been some kind of official word on this?

The description for Fleeting Microcosm is probably my favorite piece of flavor text in the entire game. Possibly in all of FS, personally, and it is embodied in a symbolic manifestation of, possibly, the universe we (the Tarnished) live in.
"The broken and discarded are fully willing to cling to fleeting simulacra, earning them some modicum of sympathy."
Simulacra is being used in equivalence to an idol here; or an imitation of a person or idea. Not exclusively an object of worship, but a goal to pursue or a belief to prove, to hold onto.
In Dark Souls terms, it's what keeps you from going Hollow.
In lieu of Elden Ring, "the broken and discarded" - the people who suffer but cling to memories - are so desperate for salvation that they often adhere themselves to something so pitiful. It's usually something transitory, or a lie, an inevitable failure or just something external and impermanent.
And yet, that is human. It is how those who are still walking around in the present, like a zombie but not a corpse on the ground, is because they still have Runes, or Remembrances, or MEMORIES. Something to keep getting up for, even if it's a distant dream - it keeps you moving.
And it's because of the simplicity - the relatability - of that tragedy, it is likewise in the player's nature to feel at least a twinge of sadness for them, even if they are monsters.
And, tell me, who in Elden Ring DOESNT fit this description?
The lowly soldiers, each for their own memory of the past, or an ideal passed by a demigod?
Messmer, adhering to his vows, and holding faith in a mother's inherent love for their son? At least, until the end.
What about Godfrey, who cast aside everything to be broken down again and again for his strength - for the simple art of bloodlust?
Mohg and his desire to belong, to matter, to someone, even if it's bloody?
Miquella and his grief towards the suffering of the world - and his willingness to rob humanity to save it?
Radahn who, for all his ideals of a replicating Godfrey as a noble and strong lord, ultimately became the embodiment of heedless strength and warmongering that Godfrey was willing to set aside, to rule, in an act of true strength - an act that supposedly cast a "long shadow on the Lands Between" when he partook that sap?
What about Metyr, continuously following her purpose to compel the development of humanity, despite the part of her (perhaps the Three Fingers) that want to end it all?
Or what about Marika - who, if nothing else, began this living nightmare on the evident basis that she wanted a family, and that family to live for eternity?
Many of these characters are horrible, now; they were once noble, but are now bereft of everything but their most base desires driving them. And yet, we understand them all too deeply to slander them as simply evil.
They're broken, though, and discarded - and for that, they have a modicum of our sympathy.

I was just watching a couple of old episodes of grand designs (UK) and S12 E7 they built an amphibious house on a river.
Basically a massive basement hole, that they then built a watertight basement box in, with 2 floors above it.
All in the house weighs a few hindred tons, but when the river floods the entire house can float up to 12 ft above ground level (all service connections are flexible designed to rise with it)
Has anyone ever heard of someone attempting anything like that in brisbane?
It seems that more and more houses are going to have to be built on stilts unless weird and wonderful ideas like this take off and become cheaper
