Hi there, Sorry if this is a long question.
My wife and i look after my mom. She has respiratory failure, COPD and is 90% bed bound. Leaving the house for her puts a lot of strain on her body. As part of taking care of her we take her obs (temperature, blood oxygen etc) daily. In November of last year she was fine. Her oxygen was 91 (Which is good for her scale), normal temp etc. A few hours later We were sat there talking and within mins she could barely breath, she was burning up and confused. We took her oxygen level and it was 52 (which is extremely dangerous) We called an ambulance who came and took her into hospital.
They said it was a chest infection (Which we were dubious about as she'd turned yellow) and they gave her a weeks worth of antibiotics and 8 days later sent her home. Two days later the exact same thing happened. Once again she was taken in and they said "Oh, we must not have cleared it. She can have another weeks worth of antibiotics" 8 days later they sent her home and within a week it happened again. This time her oxygen sunk to 40 and she had to be on oxygen for 48 hours before it reached 88-92
This time they said they don't believe it's a chest infection. After more investigation they discovered it was an infection caused by a large stuck gallstone. This would be why it came on so quickly and wasn't clearing with anti biotics. They then said the stone had cleared and they'd send her home. They sent her home Christmas eve morning and 4 days later she was back in with another major infection with her oxygen going back to 50.
She was taken back in again and they discovered the stone was still there and this time they said they'd do a ERCP and remove the stone. At first she was not keen but the doctor pointed out she doesn't HAVE to have it if she doesn't want to but he STRONGLY suggested she gets it done. In his words " If you keep getting infections after a while we may not be able to fight it off the way we have. You seem to show little to no signs of infections until it really hits you." She agreed to have it done.
Sadly our hospital only does that operation on Tuesday and Fridays. She was supposed to get the ERCP done two days later on the Friday. Sadly, it was cancelled. Every time they've gone to do it there has been an emergency and they've cancelled it. One of those times was due to her oxygen falling and having an infection again. It's been two-three weeks now and yesterday it was cancelled again. Sadly, they spoke to my mom last night and said "if it's cancelled again Tuesday we're going to send you home and do it on a day case which will be in a month or two time." We're trying to get ahold of one of her doctors to find out more info.
Can we request that she stays in until the operation is done? It really scares us if one of these infections happens again as the last two times they've been really bad and we don't have oxygen at home to help.

I've initiated seperation from my soon to be ex wife in October.
This is after at least 1 year of my gut telling me things aren't right.
During our marriage, I was the breadwinner. Earning twice the income that she did as well as affording her to work part time. I've covered all bills - rent, electric, daycare etc. This wasn't easy. I pushed myself to work in roles I wasn't necessarily qualified for but somehow landed. I'm burnt out mentally from both home and work.
My job was made redundant late November. It's been 6 weeks over the holidays period working towards finding a new role which looks likely to land next week. Tonight it's been world war 3 for me asking for $250 from our shared account (in her name) to cover living expenses for myself.
We're living together as we have a 3 year old daughter and I'm not the kind of guy to pack my shit and move out and leave everyone high and dry. We need to work out what this all looks like in the future and I had hoped to remain civil throughout.
I think I've been naive in thinking that's achievable. It's become more and more clear that I need to make a clean break and be out in my own space. No matter how this plays out I'm "the bad guy" for wanting a better life for all of us.
I'm being made to feel like I should be on my knees begging for money for gas and food after so many years of busting my ass to provide for this home and family.
This is more of a vent than questions but man does it hurt to have 14 years of soul crushing work to provide and then literally be begging for money to put fuel in my car.

2025.01.18 10:07 Previous_Reveal3044 Bambulab freezes during slicing and uses 100% RAM
Hey there, I just had this issue while slicing a multi-plate model, where Bambulab Studio would just freeze completely at 75% of the process during the "optimizing toolpath" step. The program then becomes unresponsive and the RAM usage starts ramping up steadily until it reaches 100% (see screenshots below). Two of the plates (the less complicated ones, 3-4) do not have this issue, I can slice them just fine individually. But the 1 and 2 both have the issue. When I was first changing the print settings it worked perfectly and I had no issues, then out of nowhere, the issue came by. What could be causing this, and how can we solve it ? It is less of a fix-problem, but more of a "where tf does this issue come from ?", since I can print each part individually to get around the problem. Images are respectively: Normal Studio before slicing, normal resources consumption, normal graph, Abnormal/Frozen Studio after slicing, abnormal consumption and Abnormal graph. If you need any more data don't hesitate to ask ! I've also added a link to the 3mf file to see if it does the same on your side. Thanks already.

Currently I think that dwarf ability is better in most cases but I wonder if there are use cases like DF season 3 where you could cancel certain spells with a lot of value, like Rezan chase, Iridikron buster or in cases where you are being targeted by 2 or more casts at once to reset their target.
