Heyy fellow redditors ,
I am from India , Chennai.
At 30, I’m more committed than ever to my dream of becoming an entrepreneur, but I know that in order to succeed, I need to keep learning and growing.
At 19, I made the difficult decision to leave college in my second year after losing my father. My family was facing a lot of financial struggles, and I had to step in to help. Over the past nine years, I’ve worked hard to support my family and have now saved up enough to start my own business.
While I’m excited to take the leap, I also want to ensure I’m entering the right space. I’ve worked in the export industry, but I can’t afford to pursue something that’s so capital-intensive. That’s why I’m eager to explore new fields and industries. The challenge is finding opportunities that don’t require a degree or prior experience.
I’m not after a salary—I’m looking for knowledge, growth, and a wider view of the business world. If anyone knows of opportunities to intern or work in a field that could expand my understanding, I’d appreciate your suggestions!

I am worried about my seller's solicitor. I saw in the sales memo that the firm does not have a website and their email address is an "aol.com" one. I asked my solicitor about this and she also said that it is a bit strange..
A bit of googling showed that the firm were fined last year by the SRA for essentially having no anti money laundering checks in place (https://www.legalfutures.co.uk/latest-news/firm-fined-for-aml-compliance-failure-as-solicitor-faces-tribunal). This has left me quite worried that this is a dodgy firm and things could just take forever. I am wondering if I should approach the EA but the seller would not change solicitor of course.. any advice appreciated.

2025.01.18 10:01 Pyrenees_ Do total derivatives for functions with a complex domain and codomain exist ?
I think we can calculate, with limits, a partial derivative in respect to the real or imaginary part, with the other one held constant.
But is there such a thing as a derivative, where you would "wiggle" the input in the complex plane, and see how the output wiggles in the complex plane based on the input's wiggling ?
For example what would it mean to derivate f: ℂ→ℂ z↦z² in respect to z ?

2025.01.18 10:01 ineedhelpkinda Should I let my 2 month old be awake in bassinet at night until she cries? Or should I just do what I can to keep her asleep?
My 2 month old (almost 10 weeks) generally has always slept great at night. She falls asleep in my arms when I feed and usually has no problem when I place her in bassinet after.
She has trouble with the transfer after 3-4am. Usually from there I’ll wind up cosleeping as safely as possible because I want her to get good sleep at night. I want to move away from doing this.
I’m worried I’ll disrupt her sleep cycle, or at least I don’t want her to get used to being awake at this time, because if I leave her in the bassinet after 3/4 am feed, she’ll be sleepy but she will constantly kick around. I see her falling asleep but shortly waking herself up to wiggle more. She lets out some cries but usually doesn’t cry like she wants to be picked up. I usually end up getting her anyway because I’m afraid to leave her awake for too long, I don’t want her to think that’s the time to wake up.
Should I leave her be for longer anyway until she’s really crying? I already give it 30 minutes before I pick her up and I give it an hour of pick up-put down before I feel like she’s been awake too long because that’s like a whole daytime wake window.
Soothing her by shushing and patting while she’s laying down works earlier in the night if she wakes and isn’t hungry, but after this time it no longer works.
I’m not sure how we can start practice falling asleep in the bassinet earlier in the night when she’s probably sleepier if she always falls asleep by feeding. I can’t even put her down right after feeding because of reflux so it’s like she knows to go to sleep if I’m holding her and patting her on my chest.

I am an intermediate/advanced classically trained pianist, and I am interested in making the move to playing rock and other contemporary music. I have recently completed an intro to music theory college course (to brush up on what I learned in my teens a few decades ago), and I would love to hear advice on different places/ways to find a piano teacher who can continue teaching music theory and helping me start to learn how to play rock songs by ear and improvise. Local music schools with formal programs are not a good fit since I need flexibility on lesson recurrence and willingness to accommodate my sporadic travel schedule. My ultimate goal is to start up or join a rock cover band for fun, and I'm convinced I need the structure of lessons to remain focused enough to achieve this. How do I go about finding a teacher who is a good fit? I live in the DC area but am also open to online lessons. I would greatly benefit from some detailed guidance. Thanks in advance.
