So, I just recently got Metaphor, and I didn’t know the Xbox version comes with two disc. This is my first time having a game with two disc, so I wasn’t sure if things were gonna go smoothly. I popped in the first disc, it seems to read it, but nothing happens. Nothing on the screen happens. I also tried the second disc and it did the same thing. I really would like to play, so any help would be appreciated

So here’s the situation. My partner and I each have a pet, he has a 3yo cat and I have a 5yo shepherd-collie mix. We have been trying to have them interact for months and my dog constantly wants to chase the cat around. He’ll listen when we say no, but he’s waiting for an opportunity. His cat is super curious and good with dogs, but isn’t a fan of my dog anymore (valid). He’s a forgiving cat so he still comes up to us, but then my dog makes a lunge or looks at him in that alert way. I’d like to note that he doesn’t want to hurt him, more like corner him and shove his nose in his butt. The cat obviously doesn’t like that and swatts and then there’s a loud cat/dog fight and we separate them. My dog is trained with a collar but sometimes he wants to chase the cat so bad he doesn’t care how high it gets turned up. Some days we have good days where he doesn’t attempt to chase, but it isn’t often and he knows we’re watching.
Anyway, we saw another younger dog that we genuinely like and is good with dogs and cats. We like her for a lot of reasons but are unsure of if it’s a good idea. She would stay with my partner and the cat until the summer when we move into a larger house and visit my place every so often to have play dates with my dog (who is good with other dogs), and my dog would occasionally come over too. The hope is that her ease with cats and positive behavior rubs off on my dog when he sees that she isn’t bothered by the cat. The concern is that the opposite will happen. So Reddit, here I am. Anyone had a similar experience or any advice?

Did your kid ever go through a ton of losses? It's my boys first year and he is like 0 and 17. I keep telling him I'm proud and trying to frame the losses as great learning but I can tell he is getting pretty down about the whole thing. He does great in practice but gets out there and lays an egg.

Feels like our expectations are different when it comes to a relationship. He likes his freedom. I like to see a relationship as a unit. Communication is often a challenge. He feels he can’t do constant updates. And I have anxious attachment so I like it when he keeps me posted. We’re both trying to find a mid way because we love each other. Hence it feels weird to see him liking and commenting on a post that talks about the girl not understanding and that men should never give an explanation to them. Because either girls understand because they love the guy or don’t understand because girls don’t care. When I asked him he said he just liked what he said and it isn’t like that. I've been reading about dissociative disorders to better understand my own diagnoses and keep coming across books where people mention hypnosis and mind control used by their abusers. It's always been my understanding that hypnosis can't make people do things against their will, but I have limited knowledge about it. I've seen a psychotherapists who was a hypnotist (I was referred by my gynecologist), and she said I fell in the population of people who can't be hypnotized. So I don't have any experience with it to better form an opinion. Are there resources to better explain what the limitations of hypnosis are, and are there valid resources on the use of hypnosis and mind control in cases of abuse? Thank you.

So I came into some old guns (handguns like rugebaretta style) from a family member. Probably 20-30 year old guns that haven’t been shot in at least 15-20 years.
I know that in VA I don’t need a permit to own, just to conceal carry but other than that I’m totally new to guns/gun ownership so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Looking specifically for advice on what to do if I want to start shooting them.. like cleaning them, using old ammo, that sort of thing.
