I told my mom that I've been having intrusive thoughts about harming others especially loved ones, and that I'm really scared of losing control. She's religious, so she said these thoughts are demons.
That just made everything worse. Now I'm panicking because I'm religious too, and the idea that these thoughts are demons is freaking me out even more.
Like demons are giving me orders to harm my family?
Can you imagine how terrifying and distressing that is for me?
She told me to pray a lot.

I kept hearing about how the bible is a great book even in a none religious and purely narative/storytelling based context so i decided to read it. I was amazed by how it used parables, allegories and metaphors and since im a writer i decided to contextualize things in a way that a writer would.
For more context, i wasnt born christian and im a recent convert.
So i came to the conclusion that the bible is based off of the idea of 'explain it like im 5'. The bible was sent down to people who didnt know anything about life, science and the world outside of their region so if you were one of those previously mentioned uneducated people (not an insulting way) you could have a basic surface level understanding that could be expanded upon by clergymen. And if you were to read it thru a modern lens you could find the deeper meaning for them thats hidden behind layers of metaphors and allegories.
For example (may God forgive me if this is heretical, as im just too uneducated and basically dont know any better):
I believe the story of Adam and Eve is actually about the evolution (Pope Pius XII said there isnt any conflict between christianity and evolution, even if you arent catholic; the pope is still an educated man when it comes to religious matters) of complex human beings, rather than humans being created. Adam and Eve have seem to have no real concept of complex emotions or morality (they are said to walk around naked and have no shame in that) but they become responsible and aware of their actions once they eat the fruit.

I'm looking for a new keyboard for a very specific use case:
- Needs to be wireless, but can't use Bluetooth. The host device's Bluetooth stack is not reliable and this connection needs to be rock-solid 100% of the time.
- Light and compact, but with full-size keys (numpad and function keys not needed).
- Good typing feel, not overly heavy or mushy.
Keyboards I have tried: - Logitech K380: cannot get used to the round keys. - Logitech Keys-To-Go 2: The coin-cell battery that is supposed to last 3 years lasts about a week, if I'm lucky. Doesn't even warn you when it's about to die, goes from reporting 100% battery, to 50%, to empty over the course of a few minutes. Doesn't even die cleanly. Just starts dropping characters or power-cycling before failing completely. Tried two of these keyboards, same issue. Unusable. - Various AliExpress keyboards (the kinds you can find from the alphabet soup brands on Amazon. All the same couple keyboards with different branding). Low quality, bad wireless reliability, low to non-existent security on the RF signal, fail after a few months. - Logitech MX Keys Mini: this is my current solution (via Logi Bolt). Very reliable, good battery life, significantly bulkier and heavier than I would like.

Around the time of Lost Highway, David was having dinner at a restaurant I was dining at. It was late, outside in the back patio, at a quiet restaurant in Hollywood, one of those L.A. Summer nights where you can just feel and smell L.A. in the air, the kind of night I know he really liked.
He was with about 5 or 6 other people and I got the impression they were taking business. He was my total hero at the time (and still is). I was tempted to go up to his table and try to shake his hand but I thought that it would probably be annoying to him and the others he was with. Plus my date told me not to.
Funny anecdote though: The waitress was taking their orders and when she got to Lynch, she skipped him and just started gathering up all the menus and forgot to get his order. I think she was understandably nervous. Lynch exclaimed loudly, "What about me!? You got something against me?!" And everyone at his table laughed. From what I recall, he ordered a pork chop dish.
RIP David. You are the real deal, a true original, solid gold.

So I bought a 07 Buick Lucerne last winter. I came out to go to work and noticed ice on the inside of my windshield the first day it was below freezing, which tells me that there is some sort of fluid inside my car in order to create the humidity for that to happen. I looked up some TSBs on my car and found out Buick put some sort of shitty tape patches over holes that lead to the trunk area, and they are a known culprit for causing water inside the spare compartment. So I fixed that, then noticed that my rear carpet was wet, which led me to the sunroof drains, which I fixed, but I can not seem to find a good enough vacuum to extract the water out that doesn’t cost $500-$3000. Anyone have any advice or suggestions on which affordable and portable vacuum or extractor I can use??
