I had £12,500 of savings in a fixed-term account with First Direct for the last 12 months at 5% but this has now expired and the interest is now at 1.75%. What's the best deal just now for moving that money into?
On top of this I also have £7,000 in a 'save and invest' account with Chase at 3.5% - should I be looking at a better place to put this?
Thanks in advance for any advice given - as you may can tell, I don't have too much knowledge of what the best way to save is!

Recently set up my new phone (One Plus Nord Ce Lite) and have been using this for a short while. During set up the text messages didn't transfer from one phone to another but contacts, app etc did. I do not want to reset the new (One Plus) phone, but I do want to find a way to get the text messages from the old phone to my new one, there's lots of information on those text messages that I need access to. What are my options of transferring these texts to my new device, without wiping and resetting up the device?

2025.01.18 19:00 Massive-Aide1200 All of my RFID keys die frequently, I'm the grim reaper to these things.

I have 3 different RFID keys cards for door entry, work, gym, apartment complex. I frequently kill these things, way more often than anyone else I know. I've gone through 4 work ones in the last year. I went through 6 for my apartment in a year and a half, maybe another 4 for the gym.
I work with tons of machinery and computer equipment that seems like it could cause this.
Are there higher end RFIDs or emulators that would eliminate this problem for me?

Rival-S Thumb Rest I’m happy to report that the Align Tactical thumb rest is a drop in fit for my November ‘24 manufactured Rival-S.
Unfortunately after install I noticed the rear adjustable sights were cocked at an angle and have a significant amount of wobble as others have previously reported. Planning on dropping a RDS on it soon but a little miffed that the adjustable sights are so loose. Guess I’ll reach out to Canik as I’ve read they have offered others replacement rears that do not have play. I’ve read the optic plate with irons will work in the interim.

My husband and I have dreamed of buying for years and we finally got into a position where we are set up too. We’ve lived in our rental for 8 years now and have absolutely loved it. Our neighbors are amazing and the property is even better. We have just hated having a landlord and the looming possibility that we can be kicked out at anytime ( we are great tenants, but the property has changed hands 4 times since we’ve been here, and we’ve been month to month for years. Also, our rent is a little on the lower side, a new landlord could easily get $200-400 more a month for our place) If we were to be forced to leave our rental, it would be almost impossible to find somewhere that would allow our animals.
We are currently under contract for a house, but I’ve seen so much chatter about how “it’s an awful time to buy, and you’re wrong for buying now” and it’s shooting my anxiety through the roof. A lot of our friends and family bought at 3% intrest rates and have double the house for the same amount of money. My uncle is our loan officer and he got us a little bit lower of a rate (6.5%) and we bought 70k under what we were pre-approved for to account for repairs,escrow,insurance, etc but I’ve never been so conflicted in my life lol
