I was born way past the old days of action movies. I grew up on fast cuts and shaky cams before John Wick came to end them all.
When I watched Arnold Schwarzenegger movies like Predator or Commando, where he is basically a machine dressed up to kill, I thought that is how every old action movie works. Explosions, cool one liners and fearless heroes.
This is why Die Hard and Lethal Weapon surprised me quite a bit. John McClane is not one of those indestructible heroes. He does not shoot with infinite ammunition. Yes, he does some pretty wild stuff, like jumping from rooftops, but there is also a side of him that makes him very interesting. A touch humanity that is caught when he talks to the police officer or his wife. I like that very much.
The same goes for Lethal Weapon. I thought this would be a buddy comedy series with more style than substance. But one of Mel Gibson's early scenes in the franchise revolves around him sticking a gun into his mouth during a night full of grief and suicidal thoughts. And the aging part of the team has a whole family to care for.
Now yes, Lethal Weapon is a fun buddy cop comedy series. But the heroes have backgrounds, souls and feelings that are not left alone between explosions.
This is why those two movie franchises (I have only seen the first two Die Hards so far) surprised me with some unexpected depth.

When I picked my class I had 0 idea of the below.
What the armor would look like
What the weapon profession would be or involve
What skills I would need to advance the weapon professions.
What weapons they use.
For these reasons I find it extremely weird that they are not allowing a class change. I don't care if it cost 10 gold and can only be done once every 90 days. But at level 1200 restarting a new character and doing another 350 hours seems insane to change classes.
I ask please.....figure out a way to allow a class change. Even if it's a 1 time use with a ton of warnings all over stating this will be a one time change and can never be done again.

TL;DR - How much of a monthly bill should I have to make it worth while to add Non-export Solar & Batteries ?
I am getting close to having a regular monthly bill. I am in SOCAL with SCE as my utility(NEM 2). When I got the third EV I was planning on adding non-export batteries & solar.
When I got the third EV, I changed when I charge and the rate of vehicle charging, so I pay maybe 3 months. We replaced one of the EVs with a larger but more efficient one. We still only pay a bill maybe 3 months a year. The highest bill being $75(so far).
Realistically, I shouldnât add the non-export solar and battery until it is cheaper than paying a monthly bill. Electricity Bills are expected to skyrocket with AI. Is there a magic amount of monthly bill to make the change?

Hi everyone,
My 3 year old daughter had surgery done for intermittent exotropia in November 2024. For the first three weeks after surgery, her alignment was perfect. It was amazing! After that, her eyes started wandering outward again and now she looks like she did pre-surgery except with an added negative of rubbing her eyes all the time because she says it gets blurry :(.
Her ophthalmologist said 5/6 times the first surgery is successful so I'm pretty disappointed to have put my daughter through surgery for this to be the outcome. Has anyone had any experience with their first surgery not working as a young child, and then another one or some other form of treatment working? We have gone back to doing eye exercises and patching but they haven't seemed to help at all yet. For reference it's now been 2 months since her surgery.

I'm sentenced 20 years, 13 suspended, 2 to be served on house arrest and 5 on probation. So in 10 years if I do something dumb like speed or miss a stop sign, could I be forced to complete my entire sentence?
Also, dumb question, but if I get let off early from house arrest, would I be on parole for the remaining HA time, then start probation?
