Hello Guys, I live in Los Angeles and my old Goodman furnace stopped working recently after I paid for repairs. It’s an old house and only has furnace no cooling. I have decided to replace it with a new HVAC systems. The house is 1700 sqft and wondering what brand do you guys recommend and how much the average price should be? I looked up Yelp to find a good HVAC contractor but it’s really scary a lot of horror stories on the reviews. Thank you.

Hey guys, been listening since 2015-2016ish, but only ever picked up the ICYMI vinyl along the way. I’ve seen some pretty insane pricings on ebay and discogs for Vertigo vinyl. I understand he signed or limited edition etc. ones would be pricier but is there anywhere I can look for a reasonably priced standard one?

2025.01.18 19:37 AvgJoesf Is my old Epson 9600 worth reviving?
I got a well-used 9600 years ago and used extensively it for both my large landscape photos and street posters for wheat pasting. It ran fine on generic ink, but eventually I bought a newer print head for it and swapped it out. I had trouble getting the new head aligned properly, and the only printer service company near me wouldn't even look at it. They did encourage me to get it working myself, and told me they thought I could figure it out.
While I was still trying to figure it out, I got a miraculous deal on an Epson 11880, so that's what I've used ever since. The 9600 is sitting under a tarp in my shop, unloved and uncalibrated.
Should I spend any time or money trying to revive the old machine? Or maybe try to sell it cheap? Give it to a (handy) aspiring diy printer or artist? Should I just push it to the street and walk away?
Any thoughts are appreciated.

2025.01.18 19:37 PotatoSaladFucker727 I smoked a bit too much weed a year ago and experienced something akin to ego death, and am worried it permanently altered my brain chemistry for the worse and have no idea what do do now.
I smoked a lot off of a pen a while ago, and I had a total epiphany and it felt as though it ripped my soul from my body. I was left crying on the floor in pure joy and then I felt such a weird disconnect from everything around me. It made me feel a lot less depressed in the coming months and I had thought it was a good thing, but now I am finding its making me feel like im having some sort of solipsistic thinking and is making me feel disconnected from general society. I couldnt read or write coherently for months, and its still extremely difficult for me even now. My relationships with the people around me feel to have completely changed. I am at such a loss for what to do as its starting to get in the way of everything. I cant feel much empathy or understand the gravity of anything. Its terrifying and I just want to know if anyone else has had a similar experience or has any advice on what I should be doing about this. I am safe, just really confused, scared and would like some advice on what to do.

2025.01.18 19:37 jsrober $1999 Z6 Arrived Without Batteries or Charger. Lowe's said "return it"
 | I just got my Z6 delivered. It's very dirty/dusty, but that's fine. The issue is no charger and no batteries. It came with a box where they threw in a 2.5 ah battery, a single charger, and dual charger. I called the store and they said they don't have any batteries so all I can do is return it. Any advice to get the store manager to work out a deal? 2025.01.18 19:37 Cthulaid42 Touhou 10 (and every game after it) - Screen is stretched to fill my screen when in fullscreen, I want to play in fullscreen, but not have everything look fat, how do I fix this?
Running a 1440p monitor and an AMD GPU, and this is starting to agitate me a lot, as I really do want to give more windows games a try, but this weird nonsense keeps holding me back. I can't find a specific solution for this specific situation, there are similar ones, but I can't find anything like this.
The weirder part is, Touhou 6. 7, and 8 are completely fine, no stretching or enfattification there. So I'm reaching out for help here, likely to no success.

 | I’m curious if anyone else has felt with what seems to be the cockatiel version of old age dementia? My old gal (almost 26) has been with me since she was a baby and I was only 9. We grew up together, she went to college with me, she moved to 6 different states with me, she runs our entire household. She’s my baby. In her old age, she is slowing down a bit, has lost sight in one eye due to what I think may have been a stroke, and has a little trouble flying. Other than that she is physically fine and very healthy. Gets a very diverse diet, fruits, veggies, pellets, Saturday morning egg whites, etc. In the last year I think she has started loosing some mental capacity. I know her and her behavior better than I understand humans at this point. There is almost never anything she does that I am unable to find a reason for, but this is different. She has moments where she just seems to forget where she is, forget where she or we are, flies randomly and sporadically. She has also recently started yelling. All. The. Time. She has never been a “birds bird” and has never shown any interest in friends. She is out of her cage basically all the time unless she is sleeping, has constant interaction, food and treats, fresh water, etc. there is no rhyme or reason for it, she just screams. For hours, like - the entire day. Wakes up and 7am and is screaming until she decides it is bedtime (exactly 7:40pm). I don’t know what to do anymore and am at my wit’s end. She is still so healthy, vibrant, sassy and hysterical so it’s not like she is getting close to the end, I just don’t know. Has anyone experienced this? We used to give her forced “naps” (covered in her cage in a dark closed room) for an hour and it seemed to reset her system and she would be back to normal. Kind of like an over-tired toddler needing a midday nap? But even that doesn’t work anymore. I am losing my mind and don’t know what to do since I work from home half the week and can barely function. Please, any thoughts or suggestions?
