Scientifically and socially I agree with a form of Kantian Dualism in which there is a distinction between sensory phenomena and physical noumena, but personally and subjectively all dualism is occurring within a neurological form of non-dualism in which life is but a dream if the Brain exists.
Everything I experience is a product of the Brain whilst alive. There's a definite non-duality vibe there. This sensory world is a product of neural activity of the sensory systems no different from a dream one mistook to be real.
Optical illusions are proof of a distinction between sensory phenomena and physical noumena suggesting that there is a sort of duality there.
I guess I'll not choose one over the other for now, but I really like both. It's like Schrödinger's Cat being both dead and alive. I'm agreeing with aspects of both. LoL

I’m standing in front of the stone door to Orin which apparently only opens with the Amulet of Bhaal in inventory. The thing is, I’m pretty sure I fed the thing to that one altar in House of Grief and it’s gone permanently. I had no idea it was a key item, I’m kicking myself now but it’s done. Is there a way to fight Orin without the amulet?
I’m so close to the finale I can taste it. I so don’t wanna have to reload some old save file… Thanks in advance for any information

Like a lot of people I grew up with race car games and shooter games like Call of Duty and Halo but once I got into BioWare games through a little game called "Mass Effect" I was amazed.
Even before getting into Mass Effect I heard that BioWare had a really good reputation.
It was unlike anything I ever played before.
It was like experiencing an choose your own adventure book in video game form.
It was like being the director of a really good sci fi movie.
It's story, characters, and universe were light years ahead of any other sci fi universe I experienced. Before I only experienced Star Wars and the J.J. Abrams 2009 Star Trek movie.
I ended up checking out "Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic" and even that impressed me.
I ended up getting a chance to play Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2 but the time I reached college I didn't have too much time for gaming anymore.
I ended up hearing Dragon Age Inquisition would end up winning Game of the Year 2014 but Mass Effect Andromeda and Anthem were disappointments.
During the quarantine I would get the chance to check out Dragon Age Inquisition as well as games like Heavy Rain, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last of Us.
They reminded me of how awesome narrative single player gaming could be.
Dragon Age Inquisition reminded me of the BioWare greatness I experienced all those years ago.
I loved the characters. I loved Cassandra, Cullen, Leliana, Josephine, The Iron Bull, Dorian, Varric, Cole, Blackwall, and even Sera and Solas. I didn't mind Vivienne.
The story was engaging enough and the section where you get to go into an ancient Elven temple reminded me greatly of a section in Mass Effect where you explore an ancient Prothean ruin.
2003-2014 BioWare games seem to have the same distinct flavor but they are quality games.
I hear Veilguard is getting good reviews but a far more mixed reaction from the gaming community.
Like Marvel, BioWare games followed a formula but it was well excuted.

Looking back it is sad what has become of BioWare.
But I hear Larian studios is picking up the torch with Baldur's Gate 3 and former BioWare and Naughty Dog devs have started their own studio bankrolled by Wizards of the Coast who also own Baldur's Gate through D&D that are developing a Mass Effect like game called Exodus.
I read the novel based on that upcoming game, Exodus: The Archimedes Engine and the world feels very much like a sci fi universe 2003-2012 era BioWare would have created. The characters are not as memorable as the ME or DA characters but the storyline is very memorable and action packed.
There is also an episode dedicated to Exodus on Amazon Prime's "Secret Level", an anthology of short animated movies based on various video games produced by the same guy who made Netflix's Love, Death+Robots.
I really hope that Amazon's Mass Effect TV show is good and introduces demographics who would never think of picking up a video game to this sci fi universe.

 | He's 60, in relatively okay health, slightly overweight, exercise level of yardwork and 10,000 steps a day, takes minimal HPB med as a preventative. It hit fast. Seemingly overnight. He does not have pink eye (symptom crossed off). Everything else is text book. In the 7 minutes ambulance ride his BP dropped 2x to below 90. The amount and fequency of diarrhea is insane. Intermittent shortness of breath. Pain behind his left shoulder blade. Severely lethargic and dehydrated. Slept 15 hours straight. Could not go to the VA hospital in Richmond as they are at capacity and ER is "closed". His exposure may have been from Jacksonville, NC. His father (80m) was admitted for severe bacterial pneumonia. Two weeks ago they hosted their 3 year-old great grandson who was extremely ill with pinkeye and upper respiratory infections so severe his nose was leaking blood. Not like a regular nose bleed that you need to tip your head back. Just slowly leaking blood like he had the sniffles. Gr.
