Last night I ran a silly 7-player game with a Shab, Wizard, Amnesiac, and 4 Alchemist Wizards. The Amnesiac added +3 alchemists and each night they picked a player and learned yea or no to help them identify the alchemist wizards.
One of the alchemist wizards wished for all alignments to be flipped. Since this was a silly game I decided to honor it, but the cost was that no one learns their alignment was changed since that would only be even worse for the (original) good team as the demon would just kill themselves and win. I did give a clue after that player died though, that a few people picked up on (though not the demon).
At the end of the game there was one player who was upset that the rule that you always need to know your alignment was broken. I feel like the Wizard can break fundamental game rules like this, but curious what others think?

So obviously in the new era it’s precedent that there will be a jury of 8 for a final 3 because a jury of 9 could theoretically cause a 3-3-3 tie with no one to break it. But they’ve done 9 person juries before with a F3 (eg. Cook Islands) without it ever being an issue, and the odds of a 3 way tie just seem so slim— I mean, even the odds that all 3 finalists get a vote are generally slim too.
I kinda think it’s a stupid precedent with the current mechanics given the mergeatory boot and the preceding boot don’t make the jury. I know that not every season making the merge = making the jury (such as post-mergers sometimes not making jury, or pre-mergers being on the jury) but considering all throughout the 20’s and 30’s people who got 13th and 12th typically made the jury, it just seems messed up to not continue this way in the new era, especially now that the pre-jurors play such a limited role in the season (eg. not being a part of the post-finale “reunion”)
I guess my gripe is that at least 12th place (though I’m in favor of 13th too) should make the jury and limiting it to 8 because of a highly unlikely jury vote outcome seems silly. What do y’all think

 | Hallo zusammen, ich hoffe, ihr könnt mir helfen. Meine Miele-Waschmaschine (siehe Bild) hat das Problem, dass sie beim Schleudern durch die Waschküche wandert. Der Untergrund besteht aus Fliesen, was das Ganze vermutlich noch begünstigt. Was ich bisher probiert habe: Mehrfach perfekt in Waage eingestellt – leider ohne Erfolg. Eine Gummimatte untergelegt – das hat nur dazu geführt, dass sie stark vibriert hat. Das Gestell (siehe Bild) druntergesetzt – trotzdem wandert sie weiter. Hat jemand eine Idee, was ich noch machen kann? Gibt es vielleicht spezielle Tipps oder Tricks, die ich übersehen habe? Ich bin für jede Hilfe dankbar.  | I haven't painted a miniature in 35 years, but I have recently rediscovered gaming, and painting miniatures was always enjoyable for me, so I figured, 'why the Hell not?' :) I still have that last miniature I painted (when I was 15), and was able to locate that same unpainted Grenadier miniature on ebay. So I thought painting the same miniature 35 years later would be a cool way to start again. We are very lucky to have the learning resources available today. 35 years ago and living nearly 2 hours away from the nearest hobby shop, it was a much different scene with its own challenges. I know I have a lot to learn, but any critique or helpful instruction I appreciated. ( 3rd Pic: I also posted the miniature I painted 35 years ago. So, I’m looking for some advice from people that know the tech. I’m looking at building a PC. My budget is roughly $1800 for the PC by itself (not including monitor or keyboard/mouse)
I play console games currently. I enjoy playing competitive shooters like Siege, and PUBG, and Apex. I also like open world games like Assassins Creed, Far Cry, Ghost Of Tsushima etc…
The uppercut is that I’m an amateur photographer and I’d like to have something I can also do some light photo editing on.
I am not partial to NVIDIA or AMD, but rather… don’t have any frame of reference or bias for either. I was thinking of doing an i7-14700k with a 4070 super. If that was enough to play what I like and do what I want. Or maybe even something from AMD like the 7800X3d and a 7800xt, or a hybrid.
I’ve seen some stuff that is prebuilt, but I’ve heard that places like IBUYPOWER might use less than desirable components. I’d also like to learn how to do it regardless.
What would you build with $1800? Should I wait for the next gen cards or will it matter for a guy like me that doesn’t own a PC (I edit with Mac).
