2025.01.19 00:10 noopsgib Hate for the Dub?
Just did a rewatch and went with the dub for the first time and holy MOLY is it so much better than people make it out to be. Many of the lines changed, but my god is it hilarious. For such an absurd show, I really appreciate how the direction doesn’t take itself too seriously. Here’s my best comparison:
For anyone who has ever read The Metamorphosis (Kafka), it’s grim, but there’s a lot of humor to it. Now, some years ago, Benedict Cumberbatch did an audiobook reading that, in my opinion, was awful because he read it like a high-suspense, gritty, near-horror story the whole time. While the story is partially all those things, it’s also weirdly lighthearted and hilarious at times, too.
Future Diary is the same. Sure, there’s suspense and serious moments, but the whole thing is ridiculous, and the Dub celebrates that with tons of one-liners that had us rolling and even rewinding the scene to compare to the original Japanese.
So if you’ve never tried the dub or judged it too harshly, I highly recommend and urge you to give it a (possibly second) try. Looked at this way, I think it’s truly enjoyable.

I just got an air fryer I am learning how to use. Any tips on how to maximize the use of an air fryer for healthy meals?
I also wanted to ask about getting a crockpot and/ or a pressure cooker. I’m irrationally afraid these appliances will explode if I leave them on their own when I’m not home and burn the place down.
Every time I search for quick and yummy recipes, people mention a crockpot or a pressure cooker. Is there an alternative? Should I just stick to using the air fryer for now?

2025.01.19 00:10 apolloe875 How transferable is MIG to other types of welding?
I’ve been working at a shop for just over a year and we do hardwire and dual shield pretty much exclusively. I’ve used 7024 jet rod on flat plate a bit but we’ve moved away from that. I started a year ago never having picked up a welder and now feel fairly confident in most of not all positions in hardwire and dual shield.
But I only really know the skills specific to my work. I enjoy it a lot and want to expand my skills, but I’m curious if it’s worth trying to get a side job doing oddball stuff like fence repairs and what not.
Really the root of my question is if I’m proficient at mig welding, would it be a good idea to start learning other skills now, or keep doing what I’m doing and perhaps learning MiG in other settings like with thickethinner wire, on other materials than steel, or thickethinner material than the 3/16 and 1/4 we do at work?

Hi,
I've been trying to get my RAM to run on the intended speeds for a while now, i finally updated my BIOS because i was tired of my RAM only running 2133mhz and my XMP was not working. So when i updated the BIOS i tried the XMP profile again on 3200mhz, but it still only says overclocking failed. I tried to go even lower every time but it wouldn't work until 2600mhz. Is there something i can do to get it at 3200mhz or something close?
My RAM: Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz 8x2 GB
My Motherboard: B660M Mortar wifi ddr4

I’m in residential treatment currently for my cptsd and many, many dissociative issues and it feels like nobody takes the dissociation part seriously. I had a group therapist laugh and joke to my face and dismiss me when I told them I found entries in my journal that I didn’t write, and that I didn’t remember an entire day of therapy. I just want to get proper help. What does it take to be properly seen. I’m so tired I just want help. I just want someone to take what’s happening to me seriously.
