Hi UFO people! My name is Dim, I’ve been having a pleasant time looking on with regular curiosity at your subreddit for a few months now. I mostly visit planetside but my interest in advanced avionics and curiosity at those few inexplicable things in the sky has led me here. The other day I read the post about society moving on and wanted to add my two cents for what they’re worth.
I think most people don’t hold long term interest in aliens and anomalous aircraft for a few reasons.
- Even if people weren’t living from paycheck to paycheck, it still doesn’t pass the ‘so what?’ test. These things have no impact on people’s daily lives, or most people’s entire lives, rich or poor. In the absence of any tangible benefit, and more pertinently the absence of any clear answers about what these things are, people move on. People initially interested quickly find that no amount of looking up, listening to podcasts, or buying books from well-meaning individuals who also have no proof is going to change that. Even if one day we are compelled to acknowledge the existence of an alien nation wanting to have ongoing relations with us and they integrate with our society, it’s highly unlikely that looking up and being curious will be the catalyst for that event. There’s just no reason beyond being perpetually curious to stay involved.
- There are vastly more important things to care about. People invest their time heavily into those they love, their hobbies, their dreams and aspirations. Comparatively grounded things that make life worth living. And it’s understandable that those things take precedence. I love my best friend. If aliens began visiting us publicly I’d be amazed and filled with wonder and delight. But my best friend will always mean more to me. A lot more. Aliens are cool, but human connection is everything. It’s not even close, and I think most people feel that and revert back to it as their main focus.
- Some people, not most, but some people in this subreddit seem to believe that being folded into an intergalactic federation would solve seemingly insurmountable problems on earth. Unlimited energy, technological advancement, societal upheaval razing the pride of the wealthy tyrants and elevating every humble man. Why wouldn’t everyone be invested in that possibility? Beyond the fact that no one is being offered that, what many people the world over come to realize in time is that the power to have all those things has always resided in man, not an orb. The might of the masses, or the improbable genius of a few men and women after the order of Einstein, has always had a way of disrupting established thoughts with seemingly radical new ways of viewing the world. They show that the ‘laws’ and ‘limits’ of science and society are boundaries we give ourselves, and they force us to see outside of our all-too comfortable caves for what the universe really is. Most people understand that if you want those changes, you must be like these men and women and seek them yourselves! :D Also, corrupt leaders aren’t afraid of alien empires in the sky. They almost never have been. They are, however, rightly terrified of unified resistance from well educated, moral beings of compassion and good will.
Anyway, that’s all! Thanks to the mod team for maintaining this sub and the redditors who regularly post. You’ve given my friend and I some fun things to talk about. :)

i plan to use the phone until it stops receiving updates as i did with my 11 (roughly). should i use a fast charger? i’ve never used one for my launch day 11 and the battery is at 69% health. are fast chargers really that bad?? should i only use it in a pinch?

 | I had some cherry mx blues that I pulled off another keyboard when I got bored of them so I printed this tkl keyboard and hand wired it. The keycaps are generic cheap ones overall they're fine for the switch. excluding print time it probably took 8-10 hours for my first time doing this. I really should've gotten bare wire to make the matrix instead of melting the insulation (fume extractors are awesome). Have you ever had more than 5 of something and wanted to drop just one at a time, but the slider took forever to get to 1? Well, I have the solution for your problems. Use the bumpers to quickly move the slider down to 1. For example, I’m doing the duplication glitch in white run and needing to drop items 1 at a time and using the bumpers to quickly select 1 has been a lifesaver that I wish I knew much earlier.
Like I said, some might not know about this and I just wanted to share this to those that did NOT know about it :)

Ska iväg och titta på en ny bil på tisdag hos en privatsäljare. Idag ligger annonsen ute för 150k, och slutpriset lär ju landa däromkring.
Jag har Swedbank som bank, och så vitt jag vet, så går det enbart att temporärt höja gränsen till 100k. Min fråga lyder då helt enkelt, går det att swisha flera gånger? All info jag hittar på ämnet verkar väldigt diffust. Vissa sidor säger att man behöver vänta tills nästa dag då det temporära beloppet enbart är för en betalning.
Är det någon som swishat över 100k nyligen som kan ge mig lite konkret info?

Any advice if I can add 3 pygmy Cory to my betta fish tank I don't want to overcrowd it? Betta fish is in the hospital tank due to fin root,covered his side with a towel because he's trying to go in the main one hitting the glass 🤣
Fish tank: Ciano 60 1 Betta fish 6 Ember Tetras 6 Harlequin Rasbora 4 Amano Shrimps 4 Nerite Snails and some other baby snails what I've got them with the plants as a bonus from PetShop 😅🙄 (3 bladder and 1 assasin all 4 are baby snails)
This is my fish tank, a bit cloudy because I've just changed from gravel to sand.

Estuve considerando la idea de trabajar mientras estudio, pero suponiendo que la carrera está cargada de proyectos, no sé qué tanto convenga (refiriéndome a los tiempos y eso). Agradecería mucho que me ayudaran con cualquier información. <3
