2025.01.19 01:57 twinfantasymtf How to talk about asexuality to my partner? We haven't talked about sexuality, and we're both gray area asexual, but haven't gone past "I don't know"
Me and my partner have both said that we're "weird when it comes to sex" and "don't know" whether or not we're asexual.
We've been dating since last april, and been in a serious relationship since last september, however the most we've ever gone was a kiss (without making out). I'm wanting to discuss sexuality with them, however I don't really know how to open it without sounding like I'm desperate for sex. I'm not. I just want to have an open discussion about sexuality, and talk about how we feel we are, how we feel about each other, and what should we do if we're misaligned.
My problem is, I don't know how to ask this sort of question without coming off as a creep who only cares about them for sex. If it turns out during this conversation that I'm not asexual, and they're not, I would still spend the rest of my life with them. I don't know whether I'm ace, or just completely repulsed to the idea due to trauma, and they haven't really spoken of the subject past a similar point, and the fact that they don't know.
Asexuals, if you had a partner who was willing to discuss sexuality with you, how would they do it without sounding creepy? I want to have this discussion, because I believe it to be important, but I don't want to freak them out or make them think that I like them only to the extent that I can get laid. I respect them too much for that.

I don't want to take up too much time repeating my entire medical history again. But generally speaking, I feel like I've tried everything and I've done every test.
I've had IBSD for literally as long as I can remember. Seems to be getting worse with age. Going to the bathroom multiple times a day. Well, first of all there is an excessive amount of false alarms that's just caused by bloating and gas. But actual BMs are still between 3:00 and 5 a day. And it's never solid. Somewhere between type 5 and type 6 on the Bristol scale.
When I was seeing a GI doctor they ruled out bile acid malabsorption.
Why is nothing ever solid for me?
I've tried things like Imodium. They only help a little. And oftentimes they become less effective if I take them everyday.
At some point somewhere somebody suggested I was lacking fiber. So I tried some fiber supplements and it seemed to make things worse. And I can still get a little mixed up between soluble and insoluble.
But then at some point somebody somewhere suggested it made things worse because I wasn't taking enough of it. That seems counterintuitive. If something's making me shit more, why would I take more of it? But now I'm taking four pills of citruscel twice a day. It's not enough but I am noticing some slight help I think? The stuff is labeled as a laxative because it works by drawing more water into the gut to help things pass easier. I don't want more water though. What can I take that would stop my body from producing so much water in the first place?
But then a quick Google search is telling me that the average person only really needs 30 g of fiber a day. Each one of those citracel pills is 500 g right? So my problem is a lack of fiber, then why is it that taking an excessive amount of extra fiber isn't helping enough?
What can I do that would almost cause constipation? How do I make it stop? What experience do you have with charcoal capsules? Do they count as fiber?
Can I take charcoal at the same time as citrucel?

Hi all!
I am trying my best to improve my time managament at quant. I come from a very solid quant background, however I feel like time crunching and managing solving questions in a test environment are not my friends at all. Also as sombody that worked with more letters than numbers in a maths context (further math, analysis etc) - the GMAT humbled me a bit. In a relaxed environment, I am fairly confident that I can solve the majority of hard questions. In simulations, I made mistakes at very easy ones and master the harder ones or I am not able to finish the entire quant section and I am forced into educated guesses towards the end.
And pieces of advice from people that struggle with this? There is not much point in going again though all the materials as I am fairly confident in them. I am trying to give multiple mocks to shake off the time pressure and I started exercising more "easy" questions in timed environments. Anything else that worked wonders for anybody?
