Context: I recently got back into collecting Pokémon cards. When I was a child, I remember getting into the TCG at a Summer Camp I was a part of. Some kid had a White Kyurem and I thought it was so cool I had to try and find cool art of my own. Over time, I sold a few chase cards, but the purpose and enjoyment was still rooted in the opening process and sleeving of beautiful cards.
I'm not rich in any way. I would usually buy one, maybe two ETBs/Booster Packs and call it a day until I have money again. This fact still stands true to this day. I'd only buy 2 maximum.
Now that Prismatic Evolutions was coming out, I was really excited for the Eeveelutions that it harbors. Even if I got one of the chase cards, I was planning on keeping them. Seeing all of the different holo-types and pokeball types looked awesome for display. So... to warm up, I bought two Stellar Crown booster boxes and hit the Terapagos ex SIR. That is currently on display.
Time skip to the 17th: I entered a Target around 5PM because I thought I'd just stroll in there like I used to as a kid and just grab the boxes... and the shelves were completely wiped besides a few Kleavor VStar booster boxes & Boodmoon Ursaluna EX booster boxes. I bought one of each of those booster boxes because, despite my disappointment, I still wanted to enjoy collecting stuff from those boxes since I missed out on the VStar era entirely for collection-purposes.
Skip to today: I went into the same Target around 8AM this morning (opening time). The shelves were just as empty as they were the day prior. I figured as much considering that stores take time to restock... it's not like it was gonna be refilled overnight. Despite that, I asked a stocking employee if there were any in the storage that wasn't put out yet anyway, and the guy was extremely friendly. He explained that he had no clue what was even going on. The way those boxes were sold out was crazy according to him. He searched in the back for me, but of course, there was no avail. He said that they would either be stocked later, or the next morning. With that, I tipped him five bucks and went on with the day. I went back later around 6PM and the shelves were even MORE empty than this morning... Asked another worker, and it turns out that if there IS ETBs on the trucks they've yet to stock, they would be on the shelves by tomorrow morning.
Skip to now: I'm writing this because I want to recount my story of how terrible this whole scalping incident has been. I'm entirely disappointed as both a collector and a hobbyist. I'm hoping that others can relate to what I'm experiencing currently. The fact I can't even get my hands on a single box has become extremely disheartening... and the crazy part is that that's all I was gonna buy to begin with.
Tl;dr: Long-time Pokémon fan. Used to collect as a young child & watched the anime relentlessly. Got back into the hobby recently through the announcement of Prismatic Evolutions & the unboxing of 2 Stellar Crown booster packs that resulted in hitting the best SIR. With the release of Prismatic Evolutions, I thought I'd waltz in like I used to pre-Covid era and just grab a box. Struggled finding a single ETB within the last two days, and upcoming third. I'm disheartened, and honestly feeling a bit hopeless getting back into the hobby.
Good luck out there guys. Don't let the scalpers win. Don't pay them. And most of all, don't let LCS' get away with scalping either. They may be small businesses, but they're adding to the problem. Until they drop the ETBs to MSRP, I, and neither should you feed into the ever growing inflation bubble happening right now. That would only give these losers encouragement and justification to continue this behavior further.

I remember when I was a kid and loved runescape with all of my heart. When they reintroduced OSRS I was overfilled with joy until a certain point where slayer partners were removed, and me and my friends had a low party interaction rate. We eventually stopped playing and when I heard of the system being reintroduced I heavily considered together with my friends to start playing again. Well, that was until we saw what is going on in this subreddit.
I guess I'll never return to osrs again, it's the beginning of the end. I remember when this game was a gem that you'd get for 5 bucks a month. It's really sad to see greed overtake passion, but then again, modern society...
At least I remember the days before G.E on osrs when people were using the trading posts and all. Everybody was excited, how time flies by and now we are here approx 12 years later. At least we got something out of it.

I don't understand when people say that Naruto can beat someone with a logia ability. Even with ve he still loses because Haki is the manifestation of one's will, while Chakra is one's life force, I just looked it up cause I haven't seen Naruto in a while, so Naruto can't beat some one like Akainu, Kizaru, Greenbull or even Caribu because he can't hit them.
