 | Actually, napag diskitahan ko lang talaga yung nananahimik na red wine ng husband ko kagabi kaya napa bake ako hahahah. Gumagawa na ako nito noon saka nung red wine brownies lalo pag Valentine's. Perfect to as a Valentine's day treat kung gusto mo maiba naman ang flavor ng dessert mo. So I used 1 cup red wine sa cake batter then 1/4 cup sa ganache. Lasang lasa ko pa din yung red wine. Kaya di pwede to sa bagets hehe. Best served the day after para malasahan mo lalo. Any red wine will do, if ayaw mo masyado malasahan sa cake, try 1/2 cup water + 1/2 cup red wine. Recently found out I’m having identical twin boys. Before conceiving I always knew I wanted to name my first born boy my maiden name because it’s special to me and I love the name.
Now that I’m having twins I felt kind of bad if I gave one of them a family name and the other a name that we just really love but it’s not necessarily “special” so to speak.
My husband and I decided we could give the other boy a family name as his middle name but not his first. Maybe I’m overthinking but I don’t want him to grow up and feel less special than his brother or anything.
Just looking for thoughts and opinions.

2025.01.19 02:34 nasawesome A texture is glowing in Cycles (not Eevee) and I’m going to cry. I am at my wits end.
 | I’ve spent days trying to fix this. I’ve watched every YouTube video and read all of the posts about this same issue on this sub- nothing. Please help me. This texture is glowing where there are supposed to be shadows. The first few pictures show examples of this. The SAME TEXTURE is also accepting shadows on other parts of the rendering. I’ve changed every single thing I could to try and find the solution. Every single number and slider has been touched. This glow is haunting me. I attached a picture of my node tree for the material as well as the expanded view with every single setting visible. I also attached my output compositor but it’s just the basic setup. So I've got about 100 hours in the game at this point. I recently started a second character and am doing my typical Fromsoft games thing of going around and spending time looking at details to really get a sense of how the people working on this game put it together and just appreciating the craft and noticing the "work marks" as it were. (For example: there are a lot of bookstores on Elysion Boulevard, and "Thedore's Books," usually paired with a "Best Bookstore in Krat" sign, have like a dozen retailers.)
Anyway, I had just booted up the game and I'm in the hotel and I happened to notice the clock hand parts at the base of the stargazer and thought, "it would be pretty cool if this orrery looking device actually moved," and fan, it does!
Now don't get me wrong, it doesn't look like it moves, but if you leave the camera fixed on it and just wait and watch, it does move, just incredibly slowly.
There's no reason for this. Again, I have nearly 100 hours in the game and didn't notice until I intentionally looked for it on a whim. But goddamn.
This game really is a kind of magic because I didn't think anyone else could pull off the Fromsoft formula with the same level of love and care. For a first attempt at a "Souls" game, Neowiz is absolutely killing it. They fucking get it, and they're doing the small things that "don't matter" in the way FS does and that's just... master class artistry. I can't wait to see what else they come up with moving forward.
I'm so glad I finally caved after seeing all the, "Lies of P is basically as good as an official Souls game," comments about this game. It isn't perfect, by any means, but it's so loveable that I'm just happy someone else is able to pull this off.
Anyway, not actually much to say here other that I really appreciate that this game has little fun details crammed into it everywhere that are very endearing now that I'm looking for them. What kinds of fun minutia have y'all found?
