2025.01.19 02:20 gt40mkii What's a good focus for a rediced Celestron C8?
I've got a Celestron C8 with an f6.3 reduceflattener. I've just added a ZWO Electronic Automatic Focuser so I've Bern trying to quantify my focusing efforts, manual versus EAF. using ASIAir.
I can almost as good a focus manually using a Bhatinov mask as the EAF, but the EAF is much faster, of course.
But I wonder if my focus is as good as other's.
I'm seeing an average star size between about 4.25 and 4.75.
Does this sound about right?

Yesterday I wrote about the two opposing opinions on the NSO playtest, so today I’m coming up with a compromise. I know the recent post haven’t been as big, but it’s sorta hard to come up with theories when we know too much. I’m still excited to create new Theories and hear yours. Now let’s get into it.
One problem with the game being a switch 2 exclusive is that it will have a much smaller playerbase, so if it’s cross gen we can get a lot more people on. But we need another selling feature to the switch 2, and it’s a good contender. So I only have one way to make this work: the switch version cuts a feature. Let’s go through a few options
They remove any form of communication between the cavemen
We take out beacons, so you have to play with the rest of the overworld. I doubt this would be the option, as it would basically make the game unplayable.
You can only play in your planetary block. It would severely limit your abilities
No dev core. Again, makes the game basically unplayable.
Now my favorite option, we remove the avatar creation, and the ability to see messages. Everyone around you is wearing cool family guys and pyramid Steve costumes, and you’re just a normal caveman. It also makes it harder to communicate, making you feel compelled to buy the new console. And if just that wasn’t enough, in one of my previous theories I said they could advertise new games in the dev core. Imagine walking around, looking at all the cool costumes you can’t have or make, and watching the new games you can’t play. It will encourage people to buy the new console, while still allowing for casual players to ignore and continue enjoying the game.

Just finished overhauling my 20yr old elite. Spider arm had failed, destroying the front tub lip. Replaced tub and got a spider arm on ebay. The rear tub has 2 mounting holes on each side for attaching the suspension springs. Can someone tell me which hole, forward or rear, the suspension spring uses?

living in Brazil, but in the South *we would be considered the richer and sorta conservative part of the country and being a young woman who moved to a smaller city to the capital of the state I won't lie that sometimes is plain out scary the way some homeless people approach you
once one homeless lady straight out pulled my shirt over my breasts while I was drinking in a bar with friends and that was kinda of brushed out not that I wanted to talk about it anyways but yeah
was out drinking in front of a mini market and was distracted texting when a homeless man just appeared infront of my table and started deeply staring at me I gave him a cup of beer a cigarette lent him my lighter and he went off on his way
my city has had a big sprout in homeless people, anytime you go out to any bohemian streets to drink there is someone asking for money but mostly they are either depressed and insistant or just kinda boozed and "doing their jobs" sometimes they are very charismatic as well
the topic was something about homeless people idk too high to try and write in english now thanks
