Hello! My grandmother passed away recently. We were very close, but she very rarely wanted to speak about her past/own life before immigrating to Australia, then to the US. A few weeks before she died, she mentioned she was actually born in Poland and is Polish. There isn't any other family to connect with or ask further about our family history.
Her maiden name was Obramiwa. I tried looking for information online, but couldn't find any information on its meaning. I don't have any information or access to family trees to confirm. I was just curious on what the name means and any connections it might have to any communities or areas of Poland.
Any help is appreciated!

I am 6 weeks post op and I've lost 25lbs from pre op diet to now. Its been steady and slowly coming off but the past week I haven't lost anything. Its so frustrating and confusing bc wth.. let me break down my train of thought..im eating about 800-900 calories a day.. adequate water and protein. So, 900cal × 7 day = 6300 calories/week
To maintain my 225lb body I need to eat 3375 calories a day... thats 23,625 calories a week.
23,625- 6300=17,325 calories im NOT eating
17,325 /3500(calories in a lb)=4.95lbs Where is my 4.95lb weight loss?!?!

2025.01.19 02:20 Murky_Turkey Follow up on Looking for Capacitor for old Zenith.
Hello everyone.
This is my new to me Zenith 8S463 (Probably not the original parts though)
So it's become clear to me that the radio isn't stock. I don't know much about these nor did the seller. All I know is the seller said that this Capacitor (which he thought was a vacuum tube) appeared to be smoking or something so he took it out and just hadn't messed with the radio since. He mentioned that the radio had worked great before that. He showed me the replacement cord he put on the radio and gave me the Capacitor he took out and showed me the socket it came out of. I trust that the man wasn't lying given his profession and how genuine he seemed about everything (telling me an hours worth of wholesome family stories about the radio) so I genuinely think that he was convinced this Capacitor was the problem.
Also the metal tag with the serial is how I first found information about this model which leads me to believe atleast that part is original or maybe that that entire piece was taken from another radio of the S tag serial line and dropped in here? Again I know nothing. Just when I look up the serial range it gave me three models two smaller ones and then this one.
There is also apparently Philco and Zenith brand tubes in here.
The lights all come on, the dial turns correctly, you can hear the speaker working, but the radio simply doesn't pick up and stations or anything. From these pictures does anyone have a recommendation on the best course of action? Do you think finding a replacement cap is worth a shot or something else? Or do you think this radio is destined to be a beautiful display piece? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

Hello,
I'm new to AIOS dev and I have an idea that I'm trying to implement, but not too sure where/how to start. I'd like to take a side by side video and display each side of the video to the corresponding screen on the vision pro (i.e left side of the video to the left screen for the left eye and right side of the video for the right screen for the right eye). I started looking at metal shaders/compositor services, and reading this, but it's all too advanced for me since this is all of these concepts are new to me (and swift, etc). I started simple by using a metal shader to draw a triangle on the screen, and I sort of understand what's happening, but I'm not sure how to move past that. I thought I'd start by drawing for example a red triangle to the left screen and a green triangle to the right screen, but I don't know how to do that (and eventually implement my idea). Did anyone do something like this before or can guide me to resources that can help me with this (as a complete beginner)? Thanks!
