 | Hey all, I have a 1986 2.5 NA that I’m having trouble starting. I bought it few months ago and drove it home 4 hours, and when I first bought it the guy told me plugs/battery was bad and we had to jump it to start it in the field it was in. Trucked home like a champ and didn’t get hot at all. It has sat for a few months and now I’m trying to start it in around 25-35F cold and it just won’t start. I daily drove it for the 1st month I had it and it always had trouble cold starting and sometimes I would have to put a crank charger on it to start in the mornings. I never cranked it more than 15-20secs as to not fry the starter. I had the battery tested and it was good, alternator was good, glow plugs have all been changed, all glow plugs get power when key is engaged, did a fuel system clean with LM purple diesel additive, replaced all fuel filters, compression is good, and I have confirmed I have fuel at the injectors by checking the hard lines. No air in the fuel system either the return line has 0 bubbles/air. When I crank it the motor spins and fires on 2-3 cylinders but just can’t get over the hump. The only thing I can think of now is that either A. The injectors need to be sent off to be cleaned, or B. The starter is tired and needs to be replaced. I am planning to remove the starter from another 86 190d 2.5 I have that was a STRONG runner when I daily’d it (auto trans sh*t itself) and throw it into the non runner. I am more suspicious of the starter as when I turn the key to off I can hear the starter “whine down” like it’s whirring or something. I dont know, it’s just a bit weird none of my other w201s ever made this noise and was something I noted when I first bought this one. Also for what it’s worth the previous owner has the wrong size battery in the car and I think it has more cranking amps than it should, don’t think this would cause a non start though. Does it sound like it could be the starter? Any injector cleaner recommendations? Also anyone have a manual transmission for my other w201 😆? Also don’t think I blew the HG as there’s no oil in coolant, oil isn’t milky, and I have compression. Any thoughts? 2025.01.19 03:20 helloigotplacestob I'm a concert photographer and visiting Seoul, where should I go for photos?
I have a small fujifilm x100 series that I bring to EDM shows and clubs in the states. It's a fixed lens so venues typically do not have an issue unless it's a strict no camera policy that includes personal cameras.
I'd love to go to at least one show/club with a cool vibe and get some shots. I know of 1-2 tour guides in other cities who specialize in night life/club scene who I have reached out to for this specific.. kind of odd request but I haven't been able to find anyone in Seoul and I've checked multiple sites. Not interested in joining a 40+ person pub crawl.
Would love any suggestions/insight (even if it's just to say it's a bad idea). I'll be staying in Hongdae. I've done some initial googling of EDM/clubs but it's hard to get a vibe from photos. I'll be in Seoul end of Feb.
Doesn't necessarily have to be EDM either, it's just my favorite genre and what I tend to shoot the most.

I reach to a level in English 6 years ago where I can speak and I might sound like a native and all, but I can tell my pronunciation in some words have been memorised wrongly, my grammar is sh!ttie, my spelling is horrible, and I still check the dictionary for simple words.
So I thought of going back to Duolingo English course but the real question. Is it gonna be helpful or waste of time? Will it help? Does suits my level? Can it possibly improve my English the way I want? I really need a good advice regarding this. I want to improve like to point of rapping in English and make diss album /jk

My mom and stepdad have been together for about 6 years now, but I’ve never really liked the guy. My mom thought that we would get along since we like the same things but our personalities are completely different. Rant and background: He’s flashy, likes to insert his opinions or intrude conversations, and I’m pretty sure he’s in love with himself, he has his wallpaper of himself (not his kids or my mom just him at the gym flexing) and constantly is me me me in almost every conversation we have. He also is the type of guy that if you tell him an issue he’ll blame it on you and turn every conversation political and god forbid you try have a civil discussion with him, even with something like dogs or cats, he’ll get heated over it and stop talking to you for weeks cause he’s stubborn. So I’ve been avoiding him at home like I purposely stay out later or sometimes when I’m not in the mood and I see his car parked in our driveway i just make a complete u-turn and find something to do cause I genuinely do not like talking to him. I do not know if he likes me because he’s very 50/50 in the way he treats me. However my mom is upset that I don’t have a relationship with him and that I don’t like him. She thinks cause he buys me things or that his sorry attempt to be my dad (by disciplining me) that I owe him, that I should be nicer to him. I already said I didn’t ask him to and I don’t owe him anything. But it pains me to see that how upset she is, she has tried really hard to give me a father. We both survived my bio father and knows how abusive he was to me and how it affected me. But I’m leaving soon for college and about to start my life and I don’t wanna leave the house in disarray. So should I at least try have and have relationship with my stepdad? Cause to even try to have a relationship with him feels like I’m walking on eggshells for some reason and honestly I would like a father figure in my life.
