I have been paying off my personal debt the last couple of month pretty quickly. I’m down to one credit card left with a balance of around $5000. I would like to apply for a home loan in the next 3 months once I have cleared all my debt.
Because I have paid off all my gem visa debt I have been offered a 6month interest free credit transfer.
What would look better when it comes to applying for a home loan in the next 3 month, quickly paying my credit card with my bank or transferring the loan to gem and closing the credit card with my bank?

I did some searching and found one or two other similar posts, but not quite the same so I thought I'd see what folks think about our case. We have a Mitsubishi system with an outdoor compressor and splits in the rooms (6 total). We run them in heating mode, haven't ever needed cooling, and we've had the system for about 18 months now. It's working well, and this isn't a major concern, but: the splits make odd noises, similar to the pops/crackles that others have mentioned. However, what seems strangest is that some of the units that are off will make noise if one of the other units is on. If the living room unit is running, for example, the bedroom one, even if off, will make occasional noises. And they're even on separate branch boxes (we have two, one for the front of the house and one for the back).
Also, when a unit is running, every once in a while it will sort of "rev up" and then make a slightly loud "exhale" kind of sound, and sometimes do that a couple of times. That's rare, but weird when it happens.
Any thoughts would be welcome. Like I said, it's not a big deal but I'm curious if this is just the way it is or if it's an indication of something not quite right. If it helps, the compressor is a MXZ-SM48NAM and the splits are MSZ-GL06NA and MSZ-GL09NA (couple of larger ones in the bigger rooms). Thanks!

When I was 17 years old (F) I met this girl. She was in the grade below me, I knew of her through mutual friends and always thought she seemed so intriguing. She was popular, hilarious, and everyone absolutely loved her. We would bump into each other at parties and I was always extra excited to see her. It felt like I had known her forever. I felt like I loved her. It wasn’t like a crush or infatuation, I truly felt like I’d loved her in every lifetime already. It was such a pure feeling and I just wanted to be around her. We ended up becoming great friends.
Fast forward to age 20, we had a summertime fling. She lived across the country from me at the time but would periodically come to visit. She basically moved in and we partied carefree for 2 or 3 months straight. When summer was over she went back across the country and we continue to stay in touch. We obviously had feelings for each other but it was kind of unspoken. We just knew.
At age 23 I moved back home for a year when I completed college. She was still living really far away. At some point we confessed our love to each other. She ended up moving back to our home town as well, we were inseparable and moved to a new city. We spent the next five years together until I was 28.
Our relationship felt so easy. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much with anybody but her. I feel like I became the best version of myself when I was with her. I was motivated to heal my inner wounds and she gave me a safe space to do that. She always treated me like a queen, was proud to have me, and I really felt so loved. Things weren’t always perfect, but I felt as if we could conquer anything. We went through a lot together.
We started talking about marriage and next steps, and shortly after that she broke up with me. We continued living together for 9 months (I was stupid and delusional). It was a living hell trying to win someone back every day that had long moved on from loving you. She would go out of town a lot, saying she was visiting friends. (for additional context we had a huge group of mutual friends, most that we had known since high school).
I had certain suspicions. Anytime I would try to confront her about my thoughts I was gaslit into thinking I was the one gaslighting her. Living in mental and emotional turmoil for almost an entire year did its damage. Around the nine month mark of that toxic cycle, she moved back across the country to be with family and I stayed in our apartment. It was the first time in my life I ever lived alone.
Not long after she moved away, I woke up to the worst text I could ever imagine. Not only did she admit to cheating on me, but it was with my best friend of 10 plus years. I’d known this friend since we were in middle school. They had been seeing each other for the last year that we were ‘together’.
When we first broke up, I was devastated and in shock. I confided in this friend of mine for comfort, and her response was “think of it as an exciting new adventure!!” Meanwhile she was literally taking my girl behind my back lol..
It turned out that all of our mutual friends knew that this was going on but no one said a thing. In the time it took for me to read her horrible confession, I suddenly lost everybody that I trusted. I never said another word to that friend again. As for my ex, she’s now engaged to her new girlfriend.
Now it’s three years later, I am 31 years old and the grief of that relationship and entire situation still hurts. The level of betrayal is hard for me to wrap my head around to this day. It’s not that I want her back, or that we would ever even be friends again, but I feel like the residue of this shit is going to be haunting me forever. I’ve been dating someone new for about a year now, and I still feel like I’m never going to be able to trust anybody ever again. Not even myself at times. The whole experience left me feeling extremely disillusioned. I have insecurities that I never had before, especially feeling really unworthy of love. Or maybe like no one is worthy of being loved by me..
All I want is a life with someone but I become terrified to take that leap again. What if someone wastes another 5 years of my life? Or 10 years of my life? What if they aren’t who you thought they were all along? What then? What if I choose wrong?

He paid for Priority Mail, which was supposed to arrive by January 7, 2025, but it never made it to me. On January 10, 2025, he filed a missing mail search request, and he received a notification that the search was initiated for my package. It’s now been almost two weeks since it was supposed to arrive, and we’re still left in the dark. To get some clarity on the situation, I’ve taken a few steps: 1. I filled out the email help form on the USPS website to report the issue. 2. I also sent them a DM on Twitter to see if I could get a quicker response. The package contains a desktop computer, so it’s really important for us to locate it. I'm well aware that it’s not ideal to send an expensive desktop through USPS, but please understand that my brother wanted to choose a cheaper route, and it was out of my hands to have a say over someone else’s money. I'm wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and if you think there's hope for us to receive our package? Any advice or tips on what else we can do would be greatly appreciated!
