Man, it was a way to see unfiltered news, have a place where many people communicated with each other, many people made a living off of TikTok because of creator funds, many small business grew because of the shop and their algorithm, it’s the main gen z content app as more apps lean millennials and boomers, educate themselves, help people connect to other people around the world compared to other platforms where it focuses on your country and not only that but finally it also shows how censorship still happens in the U.S, how it’s turning into an Oligarchy and also how the U.S is not a representative democracy anymore.
I understand that there was a ton of bad people that blew up because of it or that people blew up for dumb reasons however how is this a good thing? If anything they’ll just migrate to a new social media, not only that but it’s also a loud minority. People also say that it’s good because of China having our data which America already does all of that not only that but also the CEO has confirmed they don’t do that. Also people say it’s ruining attention spans, that would be a problem of the individual to self moderate not TikTok.
I have watched every single discussion about the ban and I have not seen ANY evidence proving what the U.S government is accusing.
Can anyone give me a proper explanation of your mindset on why TikTok should be banned?

Hi everyone! I've been having some problems with my puppy. She's almost 4 months old now, and I adopted her two weeks ago. I've been trying to potty train her during these two weeks. Most of the time, when I take her outside after a meal, she'll only pee a little and won't poop at all. Then, once I bring her back inside the house, she'll pee and poop after just a few minutes. I don't understand her at all. I'm her primary caretaker, and I'm working from home, so I'm with her all day. These past few days, I've been feeling the puppy blues.
Do you have any advice for potty training her? Our routine is: after a meal, we do an activity for 5 minutes, then I take her to her "place." I'll wait for around 10-15 minutes, just standing there like a pole. However, she'll only sniff and chew on everything, and then lay down once she gets bored.
Also if you have any advice on dealing with these puppy blues, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey there, I have sort of a weird question. Was an anesthesiologist present for your surgery for IV sedation? I have a surgery booked for the 21st, but my dad (who is a doctor) said not to go through with the surgery unless there is an anesthesiologist present. I’d call the oral surgery office but it’s closed for the weekend and MLK day and my surgery is on Tuesday. Any insight would be appreciated — I’m VERY very scared of anesthesia complications, and I imagine they’ll be using propofol which is a very heavy duty drug.

He says: All good men and women who hear the Name of Amitabha Buddha expounded by all the Buddhas and the name of this Sutra are protected by all the Buddhas and dwell in the Stage of Non-retrogression for realizing the highest, perfect Enlightenment. This is why, Shariputra, you should accept my words and the teachings of all the Buddhas. Shariputra, those who have already aspired, now aspire or in the future will aspire to be born in Amitabha Buddha’s land, all dwell in the Stage of Non-retrogression for realizing the highest, perfect Enlightenment. They have already been born, are now being born, or will be born in that land. Hence, Shariputra, good men and women of faith should aspire to birth there. With the attestation of all the buddhas, Shakyamuni Buddha wishes sentient beings to have faith in Amitabha’s Vow of Deliverance through his Name. This is not just his own original intent and Amitabha’s Fundamental Vow; it is the common wish of all buddhas of the ten directions to deliver sentient beings like us and help them to attain assured rebirth through exclusive recitation of Amitabha’s Name: Namo Amituofo! Ordinary beings must believe and accept the Pure Land teaching by faith Amitabha’s Land of Bliss is the Reward Land adorned with Amitabha’s unsurpassed, splendid, and supreme merit and virtues. It is an unconditioned realm of Nirvana which is ineffable, beyond human language, and inconceivable to the human mind. It is a buddha’s realm, which is totally different from the conditioned realm of birth and death in the Saha world in which we live. The Saha World is produced by the collective karma of all sentient beings, who endlessly reincarnate within the Six Realms, one life after another. In this respect, we have to believe and accept the Pure Land teaching by faith. This is the teaching spoken by Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical Buddha. Shakyamuni Buddha attempts to explain the splendor of the buddha-realm in human language with metaphors and illustrations that were compelling for his audience. This was an extremely difficult task, and an almost impossible mission for Shakyamuni Buddha to fulfill, so the Buddha says in the sutra, I now praise the inconceivable virtue of other buddhas, they also praise my inconceivable virtue, saying: “Shakyamuni Buddha, you have accomplished an extremely difficult and unprecedented task.” Shakyamuni Buddha’s mission is to expound Amitabha’s teaching of deliverance Shakyamuni Buddha further says: In this Saha world, during the evil period of the five defilements—those of time, views, passions, sentient beings, and lifespan—you have attained the highest, perfect Enlightenment and, for the sake of sentient beings, have delivered this teaching, which is the most difficult in the world to accept in faith. Shakyamuni Buddha tells Shariputra: You must realize that I have accomplished this difficult task during the period of the five defilements. That is to say, having attained the highest, perfect Enlightenment, I have, for the sake of all the world, delivered this teaching, which is so hard for them to accept. This is indeed an extremely difficult task. How can Amitabha Buddha deliver sentient beings in the ten directions with his Name, “Namo Amituofo?” The short answer is that all buddhas of the cosmos assist Amitabha in this task. We know from the scriptures that all buddhas share the same enlightened consciousness. We also know from the Amitabha Sutra that all buddhas praise and certify the truth of Amitabha’s vows to sentient beings. In our Saha world, it was Shakyamuni Buddha who fulfilled this role, and Shakyamuni Buddha was the only person who could explain Amitabha’s deliverance to ordinary beings as he was a fully enlightened buddha. As Shakyamuni Buddha himself said in the sutra, this was not an easy task. First of all, he had to manifest a human body in this Saha World with the five defilements. He had to attain the perfect Enlightenment and manifest a buddha’s qualities, like the 32 marks, the 80 kinds of goodness, the six paranormal powers, and so on. In addition, he had to complete his task within a single lifespan in the human world, which is extremely short when compared with a buddha’s actual life. Secondly, Shakyamuni Buddha had to inform sentient beings that a buddha is not just a self-enlightened or self-emancipated being, but also one that is capable of emancipating all other beings who have buddha-nature. In other words, all sentient beings can equally become a buddha like Shakyamuni Buddha. Thirdly, Shakyamuni Buddha had to inspire ordinary beings like us to believe and accept Amitabha’s teaching of deliverance, so that we might aspire to attain assured rebirth in Amitabha’s Pure Land. Shakyamuni Buddha knew that only through Amitabha’s teaching of name-recitation could ordinary beings hope to end the suffering of reincarnation (samsara) in the Saha World. Ending suffering in the Saha World by attaining rebirth in the Land of Bliss Endless are ordinary beings’ afflictions, so immeasurable is the Buddhist teaching. However, afflictions are conditional and unreal, so the teachings are expedient and unreal too. That is the reason why Master Shandao said: “Shakyamuni Buddha is actually your kind and compassionate parents who provide various expedient teachings in order to arouse your unsurpassed faith,” which means to arouse the determinant faith in Amitabha’s teaching of deliverance through his Name. Ultimately, all 84,000 teachings in the Five Vehicles are expedient. But for us ordinary beings, the Buddha simply wishes us to arouse the faith in his words and to urge us to aspire to be reborn in the Amitabha’s Pure Land, and attain assured rebirth through the exclusive practice of Amitabha-recitation. Once we determine to take Shakyamuni Buddha’s advice, which is to aspire to return to the buddhas’ home, and recite “Namo Amituofo” for the rest of our lives, Amitabha Buddha will do the rest and receive us into his Land of Bliss near the end of our lives. With the attestation of all the buddhas, Shakyamuni Buddha wishes sentient beings to have faith in Amitabha’s Vow of Deliverance through his Name. Just an atheist convinced From is borrowing from Christian myths.
As I've posted before, the mythical Garden of Eden had two trees, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil that Adam and Eve tasted from, which got them booted out of Paradise. I think the bottle tree represents that tree. The other tree, which God was afraid his pets would also taste of was the Tree of Life, which grants immortality.
Just in that little bit we see connections to the Book of Genesis. I don't think the Faraway trees are the Tree of Life for a few reasons. I think the roots over the Angkooie kids' heads are from the Tree of Life. The monsters were after immortality, which that tree grants. But there's more.
After God booted Adam and Eve out of the Garden, he posted a Cherubim (a class of angel) to guard the way to the Tree of Life, but it also says he set a sword of fire to guard the way. A couple things here. Cherubim is sometimes reduced to cherub, or a child-like angel. That could be the BiW. However, there's also an archangel named Jophiel who is associated with the color yellow (MiY?), who also wields a flaming sword. Apparently he's the one God sent to kick Adam and Eve out of Paradise, and, in medieval Christian mysticism, Jophiel is associated with a yellow light ray. We also have a yellow light ray in the form of the lighthouse beam in From.
I think what we're seeing here is two angels, or one angel and one demon or fallen angel, one attempting to protect the Tree of Life, and another using humans to try to get to it somehow. Maybe because he is challenging God by giving human's divine powers, but more likely because he wants power for himself. I know angels are already thought to be immortal, but Genesis also implies that eating of the two trees would basically grant someone godhood, and God, being a psychotic narcissist, made it quite clear in Genesis that he didn't want to share his power with anyone.
Since we know that Tabitha and Jade have been a couple through multiple incarnations, why not go way, way back and discover that they are, in fact, the reincarnations of Adam and Eve? Fromville, in this theory, is clearly Eden. The spiders, possibly the monsters, the crows - all placed to prevent anyone from reaching the Tree of Life. No flaming sword, unless it's represented by the light of the lighthouse, but I think that's a stretch.
The name of the show, From, was probably chosen because the bits about the trees in the Book of Genesis, have a lot of the word in some translations - "do not eat FROM the tree", "cast out FROM Paradise".
Why is this sounding so much like the plot of Lost?

, I've got a few cards i wanted graded and in slabs for my collection. Just wondering if anyone has done so and who they went with / timeframe / cost / experiences.
I'm sort of leaning towards cgc rather than psa as I like the look of the slab better.
I've had a google and have found collectable madness or tcgcollectors. com.au do both cgc and psa - has anyone used these or have any other suggestions?
