2025.01.19 04:21 no_use_here I've recently run into problems with my phone disconnecting during sleep calls
Sleep calls have been a common thing for me over the years on Discord. However I normally take part in these on the desktop client. I've recently lost access to my computer at night with my bed and desk now in two different places, so I switched to joining these calls on mobile. The problem is about an hour or two after I fall asleep, I disconnect from the call and wake up alone in the morning. This is a consistent issue
I've tried making sure there is nothing touching my phone so that I don't leave the call myself. What else can I try?
I don't know how the mobile client works. Is there a thing that disconnects you after nothing after nothing activates the microphone after some time? Is it a problem with my phone (Samsung Galaxy A12) itself? Any ideas and help is appreciated

So like the header says, I was delivering to a house and fell because of poor lighting and a weird 4inch step in a spot that appeared flat. I fell forward and luckily my hands braced much of the fall so ankle is a little sore and hands cut up a little. Is there any recourse to getting money for my phone? Would think if doordash doesn't cover it I could take the person to small claims court if I wsnt but lots of red tape for that.

2025.01.19 04:21 SuburbanGoddess81 Short t-break to begin a habit reset
Time for a habit reset for me. A few years of WFH, having my med card, and being a married over 40 mom who battles depression have combined to lead to too much consumption. I got a locking box and have successfully taken 48 hours off at a time periodically in the previous months BUT the holidays gave me lots of free time and no motivation to change. Now the Universe says it's time to try harder to make the reduction stick. Locked up what I have and set the timer for Wednesday at 4pm. I won't lie, I fully intend to hit the dispo that day and will decide how long to lock it back up for. I can't/won't think about fully 100% quitting all thc - for now anyway. If I can get this back to smoking only a night or two a week and only afternoon and evening on weekends then I'll be satisfied. For now I just know I've gone beyond the point of it being useful as medicine for my nerve pain and insomnia and fully into escapism. Wish me luck on this short mission.

The issue lies in how some men express those preferences.
Here’s the thing: when women state their preferences (e.g., preferring taller men or guys with a certain personality), we’re not out here berating or degrading men who don’t fit the bill. We don’t create derogatory slogans like “no height, no light” or “no abs, no chance.” We don’t slut-shame men who don’t meet our preferences.
Unfortunately, the same can’t always be said the other way around. Some men, while voicing their preferences, feel the need to degrade women who don’t fit them. For example:
Calling women who aren’t virgins “used goods” or chanting things like “no seal, no deal,” which is not only deeply objectifying but also incredibly disrespectful. And yeah, some indian men's obsession with using r-word for such women is so ICONIC. /s
Slut-shaming women for their choices while simultaneously saying they prefer “pure” partners.
Using abusive or degrading language to dismiss women who don’t fit their ideals.
This isn’t about preferences; it’s about disrespect. Women aren’t upset because men have standards—we’re upset because some men weaponize those standards to demean others.
