2025.01.19 04:12 MrGittz If anyone is interested in learning the Warts & All story about the creation of the breakthrough CGI in Abyss, T2 & Jurassic Park I highly recommend “Jurassic Punk”. It’s a documentary about Steve “Spaz” Williams & how he helped change film history whilst clashing with industry titans in the process
There’s a lot more going on in this documentary than just a retelling of how these events occurred. The movie would be worth recommending on just that alone, since we get some never been shared tidbits, trivia and behind the scenes footage. However.
This film has an entire 3rd act that takes you by surprise. It’s extremely moving, a little sad, and a little frustrating. You feel for the guy and those who love/care about him. I won’t spoil it since part of the power of this film is expecting one thing while getting another. For 2/3rds the movie delivers on its expectations. Then there’s a shift.
I’m someone who has always worshipped at the alter of Dennis Muren, Phil Tippet, John Knoll, Richard Edlund. And a few of them are not spared unkind words by “Spaz”. It was hard seeing some of these luminaries rundown.
All in all it’s a documentary about a guy who made some incredibly important contributions to film & film history. A guy who felt slighted by those who above him in the food chain that consistently felt we’re not giving him enough credit, a guy who then spent almost the rest of his life complaining about it as he self destructs socially & physically. If you’ve seen episode about Jurassic Park on the Netflix series “The Movies that Made us” or the Disney+ documentary series “Light & Magic”., well then you’ve seen Steve. He’s the guy who looks and talks like a hockey player.
Check this movie out. I saw it on Tubi.

Can we please get an option to remove or disable the Quest badge Does anyone else think that Discord should add the option to remove the Quest badge? The Hypesquad badge can be removed if you leave your existing house, and the legacy username badge has a toggle on/off option. The quest badge should have an option to be removed especially since it's so common to complete a quest. I find it annoying how you can't disable it and there are so many quests that come and go.
I know I cant be the only one who wants to be able to remove the badge.

I was logged out of my roblox account today (19th January) at around 11:40am. I tried logging back in using the correct password and username and a 2-step verification popped up. It said they sent a code, but I never received a code. I dont have or cant remember my backup code, so have no way to log back in now.
I tried using “forgot my password” but when i entered my email or phone number my other account came up. I removed my email/phone from that account, and it worked. Then after i entered a new password, it once again asked for a email code. I didnt recieve an email.
I contacted roblox support which then brought me to an AI bot, who then asked for another email code. After telling it multiple times that i didnt receive an email, it finally put me through to a human.
I still havent been able to speak to a human though, as it was just an email saying they will get to me asap. Its been 3 hours and ive still recieved nothing. If anyone can help i would really appreciate it as this is the account ive used for years and has lots of robux and progress attached to it.

I heard my parents over the last 6years saying I should love myself and stuff but they never mentioned how. I really want to and I believe at some point in my life I did love myself. It felt like I was in a constant ecstacy and euphoria although it was true ecstacy and euphoria. Not some drug like one and it was honestly the best feeling in the entire multi dimensional universe. I long and yearn for that feeling as bad as anything else currently. I was 16 to 20 years old and now I'm 23. Does anyone know how to Love urself all over again?

I overtightened the bleeder screw to 25 ft-lb when the spec is 10 ft-lb. It does not seem to be stripped and still seems to bleed properly after testing it by loosening/tightening it. To be safe, should I replace it with a new one? Could there be a damage inside that I do not see? Should I be concerned about its functioning with brake heat and aging?

At first I almost bought into the hate on the UAP Egg Disclosure, but as I jumped from subreddit to subreddit I was finding the same disparaging comments, but from random accounts. Not as if everyone was in consensus after the show ended, but as if it was a timed and planned response to debunk the narrative.
I, for one, look forward to the Skywatcher teams efforts and knowledge they will share. I also hope there is a way they are getting the public involved by making some of the skywatching tech available and turnkey for purchase/setup. I'd buy it to help the cause.
