2025.01.19 03:54 tattooarms I applied for a full time job but would prefer a part time job, when is the best time to raise this?
Basically I've am studying for my degree part-time. I currently have a job but I want to start look for an actual career.
I applied for a job a couple weeks back which was full time. This works for me, as I would then study for my degree on my weekends. But this would mean I wouldn't finish my degree for another 1.75 years.
I got offered a job interview this week and when I was looking back over the job advert as prep, I notice they also recently put an advert up for the same position but part time.
I'd would much prefer the part time role, as it would mean I could still start a career but would also mean I could finish my degree in a 9 months
When would be the best time to ask if I could he considered for the part time role instead?
I have to ring them next week to schedule a time for interview and was thinking of bringing it up then? Or should I just wait for the interview? Or just see if they even offer me the job in the first place?
Also I don't want them to think I'm just wanting a stop-gap job while I finish my degree. My degree is stem whereas this job is property management, so not really related.
I've been doing my degree for 4 years already and have lost all my love for it, but at the same time would like to complete it just because I've put so much time in it and not looking for a stop-gap and am genuinely applying for this job as a potential career starting point.

2025.01.19 03:54 JHdarK Thinking of joining reserves if I don't get internship this summer
Currently senior ME major with no internship yet. The job market has been pretty bad (at least that's how I felt) and I still couldn't land on any internships. Since my goal is to work for the defense or federal gov AND commission as an officer in the reserves in the future, I'm considering enlisting first in the reserves and going to BCT this summer to fasten my citizenship process, get some work experience, and experience military life just a little more before becoming an officer. How do you think of this plan? Do you recommend it or not? (I'm aware of the possibility of deployments)

Anyone else experience really bad ear pain after a brain MRI? I had a slight cold when I did the MrI and the images showed a sinus infection. However it's been two weeks and I have ear pain, sensitivity to loud sounds and ringing in my ear. My right ear is the worst and I've been put on antibiotics but I'm still feeling all these symptoms. I only got cheap little Ear plugs which I feel didn't help at all. I'm wondering if this is all temporary or if I have permanent damage? Could this be caused by the MRI or sinus infection? I've never been prone to ear infections before even with my horrible seasonal allergies

My question is
1:How EXACTLY is a craftsman able to do this? Are they given permission from Hermes due to having significant seniority, having excess of a leather etc? Like what is the process of it. Also can they make whatever bag they want?
2:How often do these bags go on the market? And are they priced higher because they're essentially a custom bag? Has anyone seen one?

I have been on IBR and still have about 11 or so years of payments, and have been on SAVE for the last year. After somewhat of a life change, I've worked the last year for a city government in a career path (if these still exist!) in which I would be working for government institutions or nonprofits.
If any of these student loan programs still exist 10 years from now, I'm wondering if I should sign up for PSLF. Does PSLF require that you work full-time, and does that mean 40 hours? (I worked half of the last year at 24 to 32 hours, and half at 40 hours.)
Also, does anyone know if it's possible to apply PSLF retroactively to months already worked?
