9 out of 10 times you should use "interest in." I've heard "interest for" only a few times. The only examples I can think of would be "This credit card account will accumulate 13% interest for the first six months," or "The new discovery holds interest for scientists."  | [Swatch 5755] I received this blue swatch as a gift sometime in the early 90s, either my senior year of HS or my first year of college. I don't remember what watch I was wearing before it (probably a black plastic digital or a Chinatown deal) but I loved my simple understated blue Swatch. It was well suited to college life and somehow despite being a great destroyer and mis-placer of things the blue Swatch traveled through life with me. It went to spring break in Mexico and even spent a semester in its Swiss homeland. Despite receiving a very fancy "real" watch for graduation and other stylish "fashion" watches as gifts along the way the blue Swatch remained My daily driver for many years. Because it was cheap and plastic, I never gave it much consideration. The blue Swatch blasted through house moves and renovations, rowdy pets and trips to the beach without a thought. I don't remember when I stopped wearing a watch daily, probably when I got my first smartphone or when the battery died. It sat in a box of odds and ends on top of my dresser since. Every so often I would come across it and think "I should get a new battery" but never bothered. A few weeks ago, I impulsively bought a simple canvas banded military-style watch I saw at a thrift store. I don't know why, I didn't go there looking for a watch but the simple drab and stainless $8 watch just felt right to me. I thought it might be nice to start wearing a watch again, and it was. (It's funny the only person who noticed is my work partner. She bet I would not keep it up so now it's a challenge lol) Today I ventured to the Swatch store at the KOP mall and they stuck a new battery in my old blue Swatch and polished up the banged-up plastic "crystal" for free. I've been going through some things in life lately and there is something comforting about seeing my old blue Swatch on my wrist again, ticking away like it's 1993. if you are still reading thank you, I know this sub is mostly about high-end timepieces but I just wanted to share my appreciation for this simple well-designed utilitarian watch that has lasted through 30+ years of life. Swatches have come a long way and this was a simple one back then but I think I love it now more than I did when I got my first "cool and stylish" watch way back. It's like an old friend. 2025.01.19 04:49 xanneep English portion of the SAT practice.... :( is the question bank enough + differences btwn digital SAT vs pen and paper SAT
so i took the practice test 6 the other day and got like one question wrong on the math segment then like a 670 on the english portion. i'm aiming for 1550+ so i definitely need to buff up my english but i despise the khan academy layout and i get psychic damage whenever i open an erica meltzer book since i can't necessarily pinpoint the skill i lack down to the tee esp for reading ( i fare a bit better with identifying it for grammar) would doing questions from the question bank be enough or do i have to suck it up and do the other two too.
also for the differences between digital sat and the paper sat.. does digital sat have like those long passages as seen in the paper sat or is it the same format as the practices on bluebook

I did practically nothing today except play video games. Mainly one game and it was Hunt showdown. There was a time I had people to talk online often but one by onen, I watched my friends just move on to hang with other friends and new people. While I'm not upset they want to be happy, I'm upset that it feels like I no longer exist. I already live in a city I know no one in and many times people treat like I'm invisible. I had one friend from work but due to some incident, we both got into an argument with each other and no longer friends.
I'm 33 and never really dated anyone. The closest to a relationship I had was when I was 5. I was the loner kid in high school and college. I do things solo like go to the movies and eating at restaurants. Been to several concerts alone. I'm supposed to be going to convention later this year and I would have met up my coworker there. But since we're no longer friends, that isn't happening. Making friends at my age is so difficult. You either have friends already that you known for a long time or busy with careers, relationships, or family.
My anxiety is hitting the roof again. Due to my voice, talking to people is the most difficult hurdle. Then followed up by the many hurdles after that. Am I fun to talk to? Can I keep someone's interest long enough? What should I be saying or doing in this or that situation?
