2025.01.19 05:09 BootElectronic1118 Weird horizontal white lines
I just swapped my 7800x3d to a 9800x3d, ending up grabbing a new motherboard too (asus b650e-f)
Gpu is a 4090.
Since the updated hardware, i have been seeing flickering white horizontal lines on my monitor when i boot up the pc. If i unplug the cable, from either the gpu or the monitor side, and plug it back in, no issues until i reboot again.
Any ideas?
Windows 11, all up to date drivers, the gpu had no problems before the cpu swap. It happens on every DP port on the 4090, so i dont think it is a port issue. Ran a linux live usb thing and that didnt have a problem, no lines in bios either, so im thinking its a windows issue?

Hi! So, my mother has FTD (frontotemporal dementia) and is currently in an elderly care facility since her needs are high due to her disease being very advanced. She doesn't communicate well, uses diapers and needs specific meds for emotional management since she goes into very aggitated moments.
I am a teacher and my job pays well enough to provide for her but I also live on my own. My dad is away, no contact at all,, and I have no siblings or uncles/aunts to assist me and mom. I manage most parts, and I do my best trying side gigs like lives on tiktok teaching English and such.
But this month is really rough considering the course I teach at is closed for break. No students. I gain my sallary by the hour I teach, so no students = no sallary.
I never ask for help before because I always managed to work somewhere as waitress or through the lives, but I couldn't find a restaurant in need of staff for the break (My town is small) and the lives did not provide me half of the amount I need for her medication.
If anyone can help even if just a little, I only have paypal but I can share it. God bless you all.

2025.01.19 05:09 Few-Maybe-7782 Looking for a horror movie I saw as a child.
So as the title says I,m looking for a certain horror movie I saw back in around 2007-2010 I think. This movie traumatized little me, but now that I am an adult and horror loved I need to find this movie.
Thing I remember are:
No matter where they went they could not escape it.
There was a scene later in the movie where a couple was in a hotelroom(they were there to escape them or at least one of them was). The man was taking a shower and the woman was sleeping, but then she feels something tickling/touching her under the bedsheets. Thinking that its her man she playfully laughs and plays it off, but then realizes her man is in the shower and panicks moving back on the bed against a mirror. She then got grabbed from the mirror and pulled in. That was her end.
The movie didnt end well.
They came from dark places. There was also a shower scene where te woman was rinsing her hair but then long black hairs came out of her hair and the horror thingy appeared.
I think they looked like very white skin children but im not sure about this. Cause I vaguely remember one crawling out of the dark in the attic.
Hope someone recognises the movie it drives me mad!

I don't understand why so many people have recommended me just try the fake it til you make it concept. Like how is this possible to increase confidence. I even found journaling, vision boards and self affirmation tacky. In my mind all I think about is what the heck uses this methods for self improvement. If they know their problems obviously you just have to put in the work and stop listening to your negative brain. But looks like I'm definitely wrong that my perspective on this things are false. Maybe it does help a lot of people feeling aware and know how they are doing and keeping track of their progress. But I just don't know how do I feel confident within me and what things can I do to get better at it. I've recently started walking for 30 mins daily and it just feels good. But I'm not feeling any confidence despite putting effort. As I just tell myself but you're not working on your actual growth like finding jobs and researching career paths. Your activity not facing fears of driving.
