2025.01.19 06:20 MissConscientious Questions about Living with a Gluten Eating Spouse
Hi, all. My doctors assume I have celiac, but I have a confirmed wheat allergy and cannot eat enough wheat to warrant accurate testing (or so that was the case forever ago when I last discussed it).
As the title states, my spouse still eats gluten. While they also eat gluten free products with me, they have not given up all sources of gluten. I have started to gently discuss my concerns though. Unfortunately, I only recently learned that someone else’s eating habits could be worsening my health. I somehow just had no idea that could happen.
I am hoping you all might share and explain possible signs/symptoms of how I would know if their gluten-related habits are affecting me. I guess I have no idea if I am experiencing negative effects because maybe I have normalized my health issues as the status quo.

Bought game pass ultimate the other day and I tried playing CFB25 today; said I had the “free trial” that comes with game pass and hadn’t purchased the game yet.
Went to look at it in the store and it wanted me to buy the game AGAIN (bought both Madden 25 and CFB25 with the mvp bundle on launch). All it’s letting me do is play through the free trial even though I own the games and I’m pretty sure my save data is gone. Anyone else have this problem/know how to fix it?

It’s one thing when in the heat of an argument and one’s nervous system is going haywire, when self preservation is becoming more and more the goal, to say hurtful things out of pain, anger, fear, and even love.
Some things though, once said, aren't retractable.
Sometimes the words that matter, truely matter, in an existential way.
Some things once said continue to echo. Simple words. But words that have the power to draw into question the very core of ones self.
They reverberate between the walls of the mind, heart, and spirit of those the words have been spoken to. They rarely, if ever, draw quiet.
Simple words that sour old memories, and paint new ones in a pale light as they are woven.
They tower above the landscape, cascading into inescapable humiliation and self-shame for being gullible enough to allow ones self to believe anything other than what those words mean.
Those words embody deep personal fears which makes them fester in the phyche, with putticifaction that decays all else that used to live there.
They confirm that whatever did live there was false, and is not worth preserving.
One must be stronger than is fair or a true coward to themselves to move past them without question, like they were never shouted cruelly, into being.
Only a heart still strong enough to hear, still soft enough to forgive, and still vital and willing enough to keep trying can begin that journey.
For the first time I’m unsure of my true strength, but I don’t doubt my true willingness.
Alas, these words, these simple, horrible words will prevail in destroying all when left to float above a shared reality built over decades by two individuals, when one has spoken them to the other and then left them there to burn into permanence.
If left unattended, they will spoil all that comes forth with doubt and fear, no matter what is done that is unspoken.
4 little words with the power to shatter everything.
“I don’t love you.”
The most troubling part though is when the impact of those words as hurt and violence is voiced only to again be mishandled, the person voicing the impact dehumanized, and their pain left naked and out to bare is again belittled by anything and all which equates to little more than selfish defensiveness.
This only proves that those words, despite their circumstance in the moment which they were delivered, were maybe the most honest words spoken in a long time.

I have autism and dyspraxia and OCD and GAD and depression. Autistic people have the worst statistics and outcome of any group in all aspects of life. From education to jobs to relationships to health, much of it being out of their control. Like a 85% unemployment rate. Never heard of any other group that is so systemically marginalized and ignored. There's basically no program or action taken by allistic and neurotypical people to fix this. Especially for autistic adults. Like why's there no such thing as a program to train and hire more disabled and autistic teachers, when there are similar programs for other groups? There's research that shows students from marginalized groups benefit from having teachers who share their identity, so why not autistic people getting successful role models? Autism is not visible to the observer and I've been told that I don't count as diverse because my autism and dyspraxia isn't a physical visible feature. Just that I'm privileged and have it easy. I literally have five diagnosed disabilities. It's socially acceptable to say whatever you want about autistic people and use autism as an insult.

I have US/Canada Wii console, but I inadvertently bought a used German Mario Party 8 CD. When I loaded the disc in the console, a message appeared in the screen as: “Unable to Read the Disc.” Is there a way to hack the system to make the German disc work with the US/Canada console?
Again, language/region is not an issue but the system I am asking help to resolve.
