So I currently have the Bose QuietComfort Ultras and I am pretty happy overall but as is human nature I am already looking at the next shiny latest and greatest thing out there which currently may be the H100s. Does anyone want to weigh in here? I have heard that the current codec software available doesn’t allow the hardware to reach its full potential and B&O is supposed to release an update this year for that? Is that right? For anyone who has these are they worth the price tag? Are they really over $1000 better than the next in line Sony or Bose headphones? I am really torn because I want them but most likely do not need them. Please let me know.

 | It isn't much of a hot take to say that GOATsen has become one of the few characters who have been labelled as having "wasted potential", which is an unfortunate truth for me since I'm (probably the only) Hosen enjoyer. Hoping that he plays some sort of role in y3 is already wishful thinking, but... We know that he likes Ichinose, we also know that he doesn't particularly like Ayanokoji. I forgot when but at some point Kinu stated that he wants to write more fight scenes, Hosen is physically the strongest non white room character aside from Koenji — do you see where I'm getting at here? He could at the very least play a minor role throughout y3. Let's say he somehow recieves the news that his main opp is in the sheets with his crush, what does he do? Kidnap Horikita, remind her of her past with Manabuse by hurting her (he's done it before to anger Sudo, why not do it again to Koji?). Everything after this is basically Ryuen vs Ayanokoji but a little more extreme. Now you can say that I'm coping, and I'll agree cause you're right. I am coping. Don't take it the wrong way, for his job, which is to be an inexperienced goalkeeper, he is exceptionally good.
But I feel that if we saw decent goalkeepers more regularly, they wouldn't be so high up.
I mean, Gagamaru in my opinion is a good 7 out of 10 as a goalkeeper but people think he's a 10 out of 10 just because we haven't seen any real goalkeepers yet.
In the NEL he played 3 games and made 3 saves
His first save was a shot from OUTSIDE THE AREA BY REO, That is, a midfielder who does not usually shoot at goal, which was also a shot copied from Rin, which was taken from outside the area.
His second save was against Barou, he was able to catch it and send it towards Isagi, but it all came from great marking by Raichi, Isagi's vision and the pressure from Grim and Birkenstock, it wasn't completely Gagamaru's, but it still seems to me to be the best save of all. (By the way, he gave it to Isagi but they lost it and Barou scored the goal on the counterattack)
and his last save was saved on the line by a shot by Rin, which missed the goal by 1 centimeter because it hit the post, without clarifying that Isagi, thanks to Kaiser, managed to deflect the shot, without Kaiser or Isagi that would have been a sure goal.
In my opinion the best one is vs Barou (but he received a lot of help), Reo's is good and vs Rin has almost no merit.
vs U-20 I think I have 4 players, Sendou, Chou and 2 Shidou
In Chou's case, Niko limited his shot and he wasn't going as hard.
vs Sendou it was a good save but the rebound fell to Sae and they scored
In the first one, Shidou was stopped by Reo, so he only had to grab her easily.
and in the last one to Shidou it was a super save, but Reo had limited one side to Reo, so Gagamaru only had to grab the grass and pray
I feel that a better save than all of these was the one between Moro and Kunigami, which was a super shot from Kunigami inside the area and Moro managed to deflect it as if it were nothing, allowing Barça to score the first goal of the match.
With a 32 million bid and currently ranked in the top 18, I doubt he'll make it to the top 11 with that poor save vs PXG, so I think his final top position will show that people want him solely because he's the only relevant goalkeeper in the manga.
I don't hate Gagamaru, I just wish he had two memorable saves in this match or at least a double or triple save like some goalkeepers do in real life, but I guess he'll have plenty of time to shine at the World Cup (if he doesn't get injured).
and let's not talk about his performances as a forward (regrettable), because that's the reason he's a goalkeeper

For context this is a HMO (UK)
There's no two ways about it this housemate is not good news. This I already knew about him. However the concerning signs keep coming. I need to make this housemate situation work for the time being but at what point do I take action and risk rocking the boat? Even if I were to take action how would I do so?
I don't know where to begin describing this guy. There is a whole list of relatively minor issues such as not flushing the toilet, not locking the door, not cleaning and just not being house trained in general.
He says he has schizophrenia (I don't know if he really does but he likes to say he does), he does drugs, sells drugs (only at a small time level, I think he's trying to prove something to himself) and has a concerning interest in being "prepared" and amassing legal weapons. He showed me his tactical flashlight and started talking about how he has a Swiss army knife and power cords (STC or something like that?). Why he was telling me this I don't know. What was I supposed to think?
If what he's freely told me is this concerning, it makes me wonder what he HASN'T told me. He's always been friendly enough but is clearly a nutter. He thinks he's in control of his actions but he is not (since drugs and mental illness) and he does not understand this. This is the most concerning thing. Even people of relatively sound mind aren't truly in control of their actions but that's one for another time.
Keeping legal weapons and being "prepared" while still being of reasonably sound mind is one thing, but combine that with drugs and mental illness and, frankly, outright stupidity, and you have a deeply concerning cocktail. It's a HMO so the landlord decides who to put in the house and he is completely indiscriminate.
I could have a word with the landlord but however I go about it I'd be risking consequences as I'd still have to live with the guy.
I could digress and go on a tangent about how it's seemingly impossible to afford non-shared accommodation despite working full time meaning I'm seemingly stuck living with degenerate morons for life. That's one for another time I think.
Do I sit tight or do I do something about this?

hello!
i am going into uni in a few months and am doing a dual degree. i want to do any combination of these three:
archaeology urban planning science (biodiversity + conservation)
my dream career is being a park ranger as i love doing conservation work, however im worried about the longevity of this career (or any career honestly) as i have juvenile arthritis, carpal tunnel, muscle and bone atrophy, pots, sclerosis, hyperostosis and fibrosis.
this lead me to think about other careers in the environment that dont conflict with my morals (or less so…). i dont like the digging aspect of archaeology but i know a lot of it is consulting indigenous people, and i dont like the built environment aspect of urban planning, but i am hoping to focus on making peoples lives easier and greening up suburban and metro areas. i have interest in environmental conservation, public transport, accessibility issues and indigenous people’s cultural and land preservation (i live in aus).
i can become a park ranger through doing a cert and/or a diploma which will be cheaper, but after my degree and gaining full time employment i would not have the time to pursue further education, especially if the career switch will be paying me less…
however, my biggest conflict is the fact that i dislike being at a desk and using computers. I havent done any GIS courses yet, but i imagine i will not like it as i am pretty much a neo luddite lol. i am not doing the science degree to go into a research or data gathering career, i pretty much strictly want to do conservation work. i know i can continue to volunteer to do conservation work, but i want to spend my limited time wisely. i imagine i wont get much free time once im working full time and focus more on my family etc
i know where my motivations are, but objectively i would like some input as to what combination of degrees will likely set me up best financially (only a small factor, everything else is more important but i understand my priorities may change in the future) but also are the most moral/will help the most people or do the most for the environment and wont make me miserable lol. i plan on doing post-grad studies as well.

 | Welcome to the special development update! We’ve reached a significant milestone - WalkScape is now **one year old!** To celebrate this, I’ll write here all the significant things that have happened so far, and also share some testimonials and interesting statistics. Let’s dive in! The Timeline
Around this time, another fix to pedometer issues was released as well.
Also, the website was reworked from scratch, and Wave 2.5 date was released.
My thoughts I'm super happy with the progress we've had in our year one. There are also a ton of things I didn't include here — we made a license agreement with Jagex, we started Wave 3.5, I overhauled the UI of the game, we released a merch store, we had an intern Sorgo joining our team for a few months, and a lot more. With a tiny team, and with just community funding, we've got a lot of things done in our first year of operation. There were also a lot of lessons learned during the year. A lot of my time was also spent on company bureaucracy stuff, fixing the pedometer, and now the last 3 months have been spent on reworking the game engine. This engine work has been a massive time sink, but I'm very pleased that it was done. Now the game's code is finally properly organized, it uses multi-threading, we have new server technology to support multiple times the players we could before. Most of all, the technical debt has now been paid that was mainly caused by rapidly expanding things. Also, the first year was unsurprisingly a year of many firsts. I've never run a company before, I've never sat at the other end of a job interview table (which was a local pub actually, we didn't have an office at that time), I've never needed to write privacy policies, pay salaries, do accounting, represent a company at game conventions, hold board meetings, and so forth. Working as a game startup requires you to really wear dozens of different hats. And I'm glad we've made it through without any major issues. After the engine work is done, we're looking forward to getting back to releasing new features more rapidly. We also need to rework our internal development tools, as one of the biggest pain points for us during and after Syrenthia was how messy creating content for the game got when its complexity increased. My wishes for 2025 For 2025, I'm definitely most excited about getting the game to Open Beta. That's our biggest priority. Our largest bottleneck for getting things done more rapidly is that we still only have two developers. One of my greatest wishes would be hiring a third developer for the game, but our finances at the moment don't really allow it. Not a Cult had revenue of 62k euros during the first year, with 2k of profit. So there's little to no extra left after paying all of the costs that go towards the development. I'm hoping that our revenue would increase so that hiring one more developer would become possible! The money we get from Patreon & BMaC goes directly into making the game better and speeding things up, and every bit of support helps. And thank you all who have been supporting us and helping us over the first year. It would've never been possible for me to quit my previous job, put my university studies on indefinite pause, and hire another full-time developer to the project without the support. A city in a river of stars
The city's lights shined bright along the night sky.
A cold breeze blew through the streets letting out a soft whistle,
The breeze carried the fresh smell of rain as it passed through the city.
A soothing melody of raindrops tapping against the roofs their rhythm an elegant chorus,
Accompanied by the soft rumble of distant thunder.
I could feel my worries slipping away like a soft cloth flowing off my skin.
I slowly looked up at the sky, the flow of lights woven through the night like a painting of the northern lights.
My life was perfect, all my problems melted away and I was truly happy.
Everything was perfect in the night sky.
It was heavenly.
Too bad I wont get to see it, I will truly miss this peace.
I stumbled towards the edge, my feet splashing against the wet ground.
As I approached the edge of the roof and looked down at the river of people.
I took a deep breath and steeled myself and took one more step, The cold breeze rushed past me as I fell.
As I hit the ground the concrete turned into liquid and I sank right through.
Gravity seemed to wrap around me as I sunk through the ground.
I could feel pits being dug in my stomach then I fully fell through.
Strobes of bright neon lights filled my vision as I felt the cold ground against my skin.
A vast darkness encompassed me.
My sense of touch slowly left me.
I could feel my eyes slowly sink into my skull.
My legs grew weak the numbness crept through my body.
Undead hands slowly grasped at me from the darkness their touch was cold and desperate as they pulled me further into the darkness.
In the darkness I faint slivers of light peeking through the darkness the warmth spread through my body.
I struggled to grasp for the light I reached and reached I clawed at the light.
The more I clawed at the light the more it grew the more it shined on me, I clawed and clawed.
More and more light showed through.
I slowly pulled myself towards the light.
I screamed as I tore through the darkness as I reached the light it sucked me in.
My body elongated and shrunk my arms twisted my legs bent my skin stretched my bones popped.
All I could do was scream, my voice echoed all around me as I yelled.
Before I knew it I was falling through a canopy of oddly formed trees.
Their jagged branches dug into my skin as I fell.
I crashed into the ground my bones cracked but didn't break.
Any air that was in my lungs was completely knocked out.
I tried to find my voice, I tried to scream out in pain but I couldn't.
The only thing I could do was look up towards the sky.
The trees stretched out into the clouds there branched formed into paths into cities.
I could see people walking on the branches of the trees.
I had to get up, I had to move to see who was in the trees.
As I gasped for air my lung filled with the viscous air, it stuck to my lungs as it slid down my throat it was suffocating me.
I choked and gagged, I tried to yell but I couldn't.
My vision slowly went dark as I felt my fear engulfing my body.
My chest raised and fell as I tried to take in as much air as I could.
As I slowly passed out the last thing that I could hear was the rustling of bushes.
The darkness that held me was just like the void but warmer.
As my mind slowly woke me up from my sleepless dream I shot up.
The first thing I noticed was that I was in a house or what I thought was a house.
Followed by the sweet smell of meat sizzling and the sound of birds chirping.
A strange woman slowly walked out of the kitchen.
“Oh you're awake thank god” she said her voice was relaxed it was caring.
“W-where am I?” my voice shook, I could feel my lungs pressing up against my ribs they felt too big to large to fit in my chest as I breathed.
“Oh honey I wish I could tell you” she said as she grasped my cheek while caressing it.
“W-What The F-Fuck do you mean” my voice turned sour as I spoke.
