Currently Grade 12 student doing research on the application of self-healing concrete for capstone, and it requires strains like : Bacillus subtilis, Sporosarcina pastuerii, sphaericus, or megaterium. It's either-or. For the project, the bacteria needs to be encapsulated in other to survive within the concrete and so I'm inquiring on:
- Whether its possible to request for the aforementioned strains, and where best to inquire for it? Should I try for universities or go for independent laboratories
- Wondering if it would be possible to utilize or request for the encapsulation itself in expanded clay? Since the equipment is really necessary for the project so need to know if it's possible/feasible or not

Driving myself mad over this...
I've recently picked up an Extron Crosspoint Switcher ('Extron Crosspoint Series Switcher') to sit between my component video sources and a Roland V-440HD Mixer.
Any sources that pass through the Extron first, are faded once they pass out of the Video Mixer and into the display monitor. If I remove the mixer and go direct from the Extron to the display, the colours are as normal. If I remove the Extron and introduce the mixer, normal again.
I can't see that it’s any settings in the Roland as it doesn’t happen if the extron is removed from the chai. And same with the extron because it doesn’t happen if the Roland is removed from the chain
Any advice please on how to solve?

Hello everyone. I (17F) live in the netherlands wich means a subject we get in school is German. Our German teacher is a very old man who has already beeen retired, but our school does not have enough teachers, so they hired him for this year.
For context, my formal German teacher was really nice, she was a little hard on us but she taught us everything we needed to know for tests. But unfortunatly she got cancer last year and she could not work for a while. This is why my school hired that old man as a German teacher, let's call him mr. Grump by the way.
A few weeks ago my formal German teacher got back to school and she works a few hours per week now, so that's awesome! But unfortunatly she can't work full hours yet, so we still have mr. Grump.
Mr. Grump does not teach us everything. Actually, he does not teach us anything and only he gives us online tests, to have a look how much we know. All the other teachers never agree with him and they actually kind of hate him.
Last week I saw my formal teacher and me and my friends went up to her and had a little talk with her. She said she was fine and it was a good talk. Until she asked who our new teacher was. We told her we had mr. Grump and her eyes widened a little. She went of to us about how she and some collegues hated him and he never listened to them and just did his own thing. She also told us he is really old-school and won't give a 10, that is a 100% on a test in the Netherlands. So my friends and I got kind of angry and hated him even more then before. She also told us to email her if needed and we had to send a text to our class so they knew too. Some of my classmates really appreciated it.
So a couple of days ago, we had another German lesson and me and my friends were the first to come in, as usual, and took our seats. Mr. Grump was typing something on his laptop. I was kind of angry to see his face when, so I asked him: 'Sir, why don't we ever do normal exercises from our book and just make tests? The other classes never do that.' He explained to me that he thought it was really useful, so I replied: 'I don't think so. Our whole class does not get good grades for this subject, while when we had our formal teacher, we did. And I personally really like to make the exercises from the book, because they help learning stuff for the tests. And I think that the whole class agrees whith me on that.' He was a little silent after that, but we did make some exercises from the book.
My friends said I am the asshole for taking it a bit to far, but I didn't think so. If I am the asshole I totally get that. So am I the asshole?
