With all this stuff about Bambu Lab locking down their printers and restricting third-party software, I’m starting to wonder if FlashForge might do something similar. Bambu is introducing their own tools like Bambu Connect and making it harder to use anything else with their printers. It feels like a move to control their ecosystem and honestly, it’s a bit of a turn-off.
I’ve got a FlashForge and one of the things I like is the flexibility to use whatever software I want. If they started locking things down too, it would be a big downside for me. But maybe this is their chance to do the opposite and stand out by staying open.
What do you think? Could FlashForge follow the same path as Bambu, or do you think they’ll keep things open? Would that change whether you stick with them? Curious to hear what others think about all this.

A few years ago i was diagnosed with severe anorexia nervosa and hospitalised for 2 weeks on a tube feed, then released and hospitalised into an adolescent inpatient ward for mental health for about 2 months; i was 14/15. I am now almost 25. Ive had issues on and on since then, i slowly faced out of it but remained quite slim without trying. I can feel myself getting sick again, i am noticing it. I am becoming unhealthily obsessed with liposuction, fat transfers and surgical procedures to remove fat from my outer thighs. Keeping in mind i know i am not big, i am 167cm and 51-52kg in weight as i fluctuate throughout the month.
I am petrified I am frightened I have trauma from my past and it is hard. I miss the feeling of it though, i miss having something to obsess so highly over, i miss being good at it. It was an escape aswell.
I dont know how to change myself, i know i’ll only be happy if i have a procedure done and theres no other way i’ll stop hating my body. I know im getting unwell again because of this. Its all i google, constantly. My partner and i argue over it as he says he’ll leave me if i have a procedure done or remove fat.

I have $40 of credit on my PSN account. I don't own a PS4 anymore, just a PS3 for the memories, and honestly don't see myself buying a PS5 (unless Bloodborne darn it!).

They’ve made fools of all of us. Last night, I stayed up until 2 a.m. to watch their hyped-up "crash retrieval" video, only to see an obvious fake. It looked like they used a real egg, hung it with duct tape, lowered it onto some carpet, and slapped a green filter over it. The terrain and shadows were completely off, and the idea of dumping it in a random field was absurd. The whole thing was laughable.
If we want this topic to be taken seriously, we need to stop giving these people a platform. A new rule should be implemented to remove any posts promoting their nonsense. After seeing that video, I’m done listening to anything they have to say. These individuals don’t care about disclosure—they care about selling books, pushing podcasts, and taking advantage of people like us. It needs to stop.
