hi, 19f here. i'm not diagnosed & not interested in getting diagnosed, but i'm relatively certain i've got npd. at least, i can recognize that i fit the criteria/'symptoms' to a t, so take from that what you will. the point here isn't to get affirmed on my self-diagnosis anyway.
i have a lot of people i'm friends with, but i wouldn't consider them my friends. i don't feel very close to them and i find myself not really being able to respect them (i.e. i think i'm smarter than them, or they annoy me frequently, or i just don't feel 'understood', etc). i don't act on those feelings & hide them, but that also means i can't feel honest with them and feel more distant. for the few people i do connect with, it tends to switch between hot & cold. and i feel like i'm lovebombing them / manipulating them, which is also 'bad' behaviour, although it's just what i genuinely feel in the moment.
i want to change this, but i really don't know how. honesty seems like the basic answer, but i don't feel like i can be honest about this. telling people that you don't see them as a friend/don't feel close to them... i can't think of any way to convey that which wouldn't be harsh/hurtful/wrong. beyond that, being open about my needs just feels like it puts someone at a position where they feel obligated to fill those needs (i.e. i am being 'bad' by manipulating them via guilt into needing to put effort into caring for me, and it doesn't even feel good for me anymore because it feels like it's all obligation/fake).
i used to have a number of people i'd consider i'd 'connected to', or i was able to jump from person to person frequently when i was younger ('connection' defined here as people who can make me feel intense delight & those i tend to get fixated on). but ever since i was about 17, i haven't really had that. that's also when i generally became more self-aware, so that might have to do with it.
this is all just a long way of asking what the title says; how do i connect with people (again)? i generally deal with heavy disassociation when it comes to my feelings, so it feels like i tend to have to 'perform' in order to convey those feelings to others. i think i'm very good at performing this sort of normality but that also means that a) i feel like i'm faking it and feel less grounded & less connected to others, b) it feels like i'm manipulating people into liking me or feeling bad for me or thinking i'm a good person. and if i don't actively perform these feelings, nobody really notices or cares or looks or does anything.
ultimately, this feels silly and childish to type out. but whenever i search up how to get better or how to treat people well (the logic being; if i treat people well, i will feel close to them), i just get articles and posts from non-narcissists going on about how narcissists are just evil. which seems sillier and useless and unhelpful to look at. even if it's just understanding, i figured it'd be better to look here. i'm not exactly a reddit user, so forgive any slow responses.

2025.01.19 13:19 Rude-Professional-69 My Ryzen 9 7900x underperforms MAJORLY.
So,I got this awesome TUF 4080 OC and 7900x combo 2 Years ago with a Cooler Master PL360 in a B650M-A (yes I know it is bad,I plan to change into at least a 17 VRM B850 or possibly to X870). I have a 850W supply and A Corsair 5000D as my case. I have filled the fan slots with Masterfan 120MM ARGB White fans(3 intake 3 exhaust and I want to change the side just for that +1 at rear as exhaust, AIO is on top for exhaust). I have a small room but it has an edge to the balcony so the degrees shouldn't increase much where I live. My cpu gets a 13100 at CPU test in 3DMark Time Spy (demo edition). I saw my cpu getting 60 FPS on cpu test meanwhile mine getting a 45FPS avg. Do you have any recommendations? I have my warranty expired from the store I bought for some parts(except cpu),and I've already been to support 5 times to make this pc work.I had it crashing/BSOD'ing for 3 months and barely got to make it work. I also had my SSD fail on me once and now I have a NH600 Pro 2TB installed (the failed one is 990 1TB w/o heatsink).

Imagine this: Your Vehicle is equipped with a Filteringdevice (could be a crafting addon) for Stardust, it automatically collects and compresses it while driving(maybe even only polluted zones?) The faster you go the more it gets compressed, and the higher you go from the ground (mainly meaning you have to Jump) the more per second you collect. This has a Cooldown (just simply x amount per "ride", needing to kill x amount after or just wait, or needing to be extracted per base and then has a cooldown...) so you can't just collect unlimited amounts...
Tuned in the right amount this could make riding "recklessly" more appealing and fun.. plus the repair sink is bigger :D

I am thinking to build a pc under $800 ( 80k inr ) for personal use and slight gaming. 7500f isn't available in India, I am getting 14400f for $168 and Ryzen 5 7600 is $230. I am running strict on budget so I can't go for 7600. If 14400f also has instability issue then I will get 12400f for way cheaper as it's better than 5600 and cheaper as well.
