I just got my new dosage prescription and now my cost is well over $1, 200 with insurance in the new year. Will the cost go down after I hit deductible again of $1650? When I order next month will it only be maybe $450?

Received an email late last night saying the request my doc submitted to BCBS FEP has been denied. I’m working my appeal letter now and will call doc in the am for reason behind denial. I don’t understand how I received approval via prior authorization which will expire in Oct 2025, to them not considering the next tier.
Also, those with FEP BCBS did you know about the 2025 stipulations in open enrollment season? I received a letter dated 12/30/2024 informing me of this change.
I don’t see how a Customer Service representative can go against a doctor recommendation and deny a request for someone who has tried everything and is borderline diabetic, hypertension, and high cholesterol levels. I’ve done extremely well on this medication and want to fight hard for reconsideration while it’s still in my system.
Heading into week 2 of no medication. Needing to act fast.
Any recommendations on what to add to appeal letter?
