Hi! I’m posting here because I need some help trying to decide on Air purifiers and the whole Smart home systems.
The situation is: I have a puppy and I will be living in a rather small space with him (around 20m2). And I would like to have an air purifier to help with dust and dog hair (as well as cooking smells). But I don’t want to break my bank account. What are your suggestions on air purifiers? I saw the one below on the store and think it is a great option (since it has the HEPA filter)
Another point is: Home assistant; I used to hate the idea of having an Alexa at home but with my ADHD diagnosis it has become more clear to me that it might be helpful. Mostly around light control, reminders and timers, having a safety camera because of the dog, etc. What are your suggestions? I don’t see much difference between Alexa and the Google Dot…. And do the different “generations” affect their performance?

Splendor Duel rule clarification
Really enjoying this game since we got it for Christmas, that said my partner has won every game after the first day!
A few rules we are unsure on.
Royal Cards - Ok so you get to 3 crowns and choose a royal card. We have been working on the assumption you choose a royal card and keep it in your hand. You get to use its function (at 3 crowns) and then when you reach 6 crowns you activate that same card/function again. Having read a bit online I think this may be wrong. Should we be choosing a second royal card at 6 crowns and using its function? Is there an option to do eitheor? Or is the card used at 3 crowns essentialy single use and gone from the game for both players after first use?
Reserving cards when picking a gold token - is there a limit of holding 3 cards in reserve? My partner often holds 4/5 early on?

2025.01.19 14:12 Slick583 I fumbled SOL so hard.
This is my first proper cycle. I had about 30% of my portfolio in SOL which i’ve held and added to since December 2023.
I stumbled across the news of the unlocks which scared me so much so that I heavily reduced my exposure like two weeks ago. Transferred most of it to BTC.
I still have about 10% of my portfolio in Sol so I still have some exposure to the gains but fml it could have been a lot more.
What annoys me the most is it was my highest conviction play since I first started buying Crypto. But somehow I was still easily shaken out of it and played into the hands of smart money investors.

Give me three possible commendations, commander, squad lead, other. Can only use them on the appropriate class. Stop making me choose between a first time commander who listens and learns, and the level 10 sl who jumped and did a great job, and the level 2 rifleman who dug in and followed us through it all. The system already knows if I have used mine and won't let me use another. Just set it up so I can use up to three, but only in the right place. I just click where and if I want.

Yesterday I saw that the sign for Annabelle's deli on Dundas street has been painted over. I remember the whole place being completely refurbished but I have never ever seen it open and I walk past it twice a day. Anyone know what was up with this place, was it some kind of front or did they just never get planning permission to change the use form retail? Makes no sense to drop tens of thousands to setup a cafe and never open.

2025.01.19 14:12 fisheypixels Visiting my grandpa in the hospital to say goodbye, I'm wondering if he was signing at me.
So my grandpa doesn't have long. They're taking him off oxygen soon, and don't expect him to last.
Last night he was lucid, but very weak and in and out. Unable to speak because of this, and the oxygen mask.
But every so often he rubbed his chin under the mask, sorta side to side. My mom thought it's cause he wanted to shave. Which he also did. But I'm curious if this or something similar has any meaning in sign language? The mask covered his cheeks, nose, and mouth to the bottom of his chin. I know he is rusty, but he knows sign language and Japanese along with English.
Is there anything he may have tried saying? Something similar to that motion, side to side on the chin with his pointer finger.

Hello, I’ve been a player for about 10 years and I’ve decided to dm something, I’ve done it once before but it was a long time ago. I’ll be dming for 3 new people and 3 veterans, I want to run something that’s really fun and will be a great time for everyone, but being a newish dm I didn’t want to overwhelm myself. I’ve run the starter campaign once before a long time ago and it was ok but I didn’t want to run that again. I was thinking about running the beyond the witchlight campaign or the new phandelver and below the shattered obelisk. I heard that one expands on the starter campaign which could be fun to run. I wanted something not dark and gloomy, something more vibrant and just a good time. Sorry for asking a lot but any suggestions is appreciated!
