Hi all. This is a very half-baked idea that I would have to learn a LOT more about, but I was wondering if anyone would be interested in either writing testimony for or helping create a document/site in which we’d be able to more publicly document our experiences at New Haven.
I have some contacts that would be able to help me with the legal aspect of things, as well as assisting me on actually collecting/displaying the data- but I would love to get some fellow survivors on board. Often times I struggle with feeling powerless against New Haven, but this feels like something doable.
Of course we could allow for anonymous or named reports, and I would love to have sections for testimony, one for public court records, one for media reports, and a section on embark. I already have a good bit of public information that’s available online.
Anyways, if anyone is interested please let me know!

I'm a big continuity dork. I'm fine with lore contradictions as long as there are either retcons or revisions made to align everything. But there were many continuity errors that were never really fixed during the EU's lifespan. I always wished edits had been made to older novels like TTT and other CW era stories to make them more aligned with TCW and the PT.
But now, I figured out how it. I found out how to convert digital copies of my EU books to Word Docs... I can now make continuity edits on the fly as I read.
I'm scared of my own power.

I've seen this topic come up in several posts since I've been reading this sub, so I wanted to share my experience as the dumpee who's been guilty of repeated blocking/unblocking.
My ex dumped me 4 months ago. I was blindsided like many others, and the reasons that were cited were things that, for the most part, were very fixable things that never communicated to me. But the relationship wasn't bad. We were good to each other and there was a lot of love. Despite this, I've been cycling through periods of anger and feelings of betrayal and abandonment, followed by periods of positivity, acceptance and understanding. So I keep bouncing back and forth between "This person betrayed me and I never want to speak to them again" (where I block), and then once I calm down I think "I understand and maybe friendship or reconciliation is possible down the line" (where I unblock). This has happened 4-5 times over the past couple months.
The reason I'm sharing this is because people seem to think it's always some game that people are playing. That isn't always the case. This isn't to get her attention or get a reaction or send a message. It's something I keep doing for myself, as unproductive as it is. I imagine there are many other instances of people doing the same thing. Not everything your ex is doing has bad intent. Grief is hard and can lead people to do silly things as they process their emotions.
As a sidenote, I'd like to point out that the longer I stay way from subs like this, the less I have those intense periods of anger. I implore everyone to be very careful about the messages you consume here. A lot of the stuff you're reading comes from a place of insecurity and anger, which is often very justified, but it shouldn't seep into situations where it doesn't necessarily belong. Although there's some benefit to reading stories of people going through hard times, I've noticed that reading a lot of this stuff sort of poisons me and the costs aren't worth that benefit and I think it's time for me to step away for good. Just be mindful about the things that you choose to internalize. That's all I got. Wishing you all well on your healing journey <3

I'm considering writing my personal statement about my struggles with severe depression and how I've gotten my life back together and improved my grades. I was also going to delve into how the grief of a loved one's passing affected it. But I've seen a ton of stuff online saying that an essay on mental health can hurt my chances of getting into schools. Some people claim the topic is overdone while others advise that colleges are likely to see you as collateral damage. I would consider another essay topic, but I'm worried if I don't talk about my mental health colleges will think my grades dipped for no reason when I had a genuine crisis. Should I change my topic?

I see one of the biggest problems being accounts getting limited by brokers etc. possible fix?
My question: if you use a 2 different accounts (ex. acc1: my own, bet on site A. acc2, my friends, mothers,... just somebody else, bets on site B.) accounting for the basics like rounding off the numbers, etc. how would the brokers know you're even arbing? to them it just seems like you're placing a normal bet and the second person is also placing a normal bet, there is no link between the two so how would the be able to ban you?
ofcourse, this must mean the 2nd acc should be someone you trust so that they don't run off with the profits if their account wins, but isn't this just a fool-proof way to not get caught? especially if you have acces to both accounts so the trust factor doenst even matter?
please if anyone has experience lmk.

The methodology - each location was tested across 6 classic donuts: 1. Old Fashioned 2. Plain (cake) 3. Glazed Yeast 4. Boston Cream 5. Jelly Filled 6. Apple Fritter
The Ranking 1. St Louis Hills Donut Shop - weekends only and normally running low by 9:30am. This is the smallest operation and the best. The oil is fresher, the donuts are crisper, and each one is lovingly crafted.
Must try: old fashioned bar, cinnamon cake, cinnamon roll, apple fritter

Donut Drive Inn - the most recommended, they are fantastic but do too much volume to compete with the craft of STL hills. Long hours to boot. An STL staple, they were my #1 for years.

Must try: Apple Fritter

Damn Fine Hand Pies - to be honest, I think their hand pies are overrated. They experiment a lot so menu changes often. They are not very consistent with most of their baked goods yet. They are expensive compared to the other 2 on this list. BUT - they make the best filled donuts in the city. They overfill them to the point of near sloppiness, which I like. They are massive.

I would skip their cake, fritters, and non filled. Grab a pie if you’ve never had one or love the flavors.
Must try: Boston Cream
Dishonorable Mention: Worlds Fair Donuts - they haven’t been good since they changed ownership, but the old reviews can trick you.

Hello! I have the Powmr 3000W 110Vac 24Vdc All In One Inverter Charger.
I have six 12 volt 100ah batteries. I also have two 12 volt 200ah batteries.
Given the difference in amp hours, I'm not sure about using all these batteries, but I would like to use at least the six 100ah batteries. I previously had four 100ah batteries and that system worked fine but I needed more storage.
Yesterday I tried connecting the six 100ah batteries in series and parallel and I double and triple checked my wiring but something was still going wrong and I got an error message and battery 1A got very hot so I disconnected everything.
For the six 100ah batteries, do I need a bus bar? A battery combiner? System needs to be 24 volts.
Any advisable way to also use the 200ah batteries?

Hat hier jemand Erfahrung mit der Einführung fachfremder bzw. fachübergreifender Dienste? Wenn ja: Wie kam es dazu? Warum ließ es sich nicht verhindern? Wenn nein aber es geplant war: Wie ließ es sich verhindern? Welche Argumente haben die größte Rolle gespielt?
Der Anlass: Wir sollen demnächst als HNO-Abteilung die Vordergrunddienste der Dermatologen zusätzlich übernehmen (also zeitgleich zuständig für alle HNO- und Dermafälle eines Maximalversorgers mit 2x ca. 40 Betten und entsprechenden Organtumorzentren). Aus meiner Sicht ist dies nicht nur patientengefährdend (inkl. Übernahmeverschulden durch uns) sondern auch tariflich unzulässig (erwartete Dienstbelastung weiter über 50%).
Hintergrund: Dermatologie über die Jahre heruntergewirtschaftet und schlicht und ergreifend nicht mehr dienstfähig. Aus meiner Sicht müssten hier Lücken durch neues Personal oder Hornorarkräfte gestopft werden - nicht durch Umverteilung auf andere Abteilungen.

Problem/Goal: I sound too pushy / give off unsolicited advice too often. My partner doesn't like it.
Context: I was talking to my bf and he told me he was thinking on watching a movie later. I told him "go, you should". In my mind it was just a simple response to keep the convo going but he told me he felt a little off by my comment since he's not asking permission from me daw he was just telling me his thoughts. He then followed up with usually he doesn't share his thoughts with me because I always chime in with unsolicited advice. I got a bit hurt since I didn't know he was irked by my side comments.
Previous Attempts: I do try to consider him more when talking to him but sometimes I just say the wrong things, so how do I comment on things without sounding like I shove my advice down his throat.

in other words, what map that is 9+ years old looks the most "modern" to you?
for me it's gotta be highscore. kinda why I went for 9 years instead of 10. besides that, I'd also pick the pretender (rlc). the map looks amazing coming out of 2013 (probably also why it's so influential of a map). but I'm curious about what you guys think.
