What cameras are we allowed to use for testing? I was told by the people who run those tests I have to use the camera WGU gave me. The camera WGU gave me sucks. It’s blurry and the people at prototu complain half the time they can’t read my license and I need to make the camera clear. Also the wire is defective and it’s always cutting off if I move it the wrong way. Any recommendations? I had a nice Logitech camera where they could see my screen me and everything but they said no.

I setup qsync between my Mac and my Qnap NAS in my local network. I created a shared folder on the Qnap through Filestation and everything seems ok and it initially synced. As I’m moving and deleting files on the Mac, files on the Qnap are not updating and then some of the deleted files are showing back up on the Mac again.
I really just want a backup of my files from my Mac to the Qnap so I don’t want the Qnap ever sending files back to the Mac. Is there a setting I’m missing here. Wayne is making a mess of my folder structures in my Mac.

2025.01.19 16:29 LetsGetPickled How support ults should be reworked

Welcome to my yap session regarding support ults. I am a support main, primarily playing Loki, Luna Snow and Invisible Woman, and even I’m tired of how broken supports feel. So just wanted to talk about my ideas.
Feel like every support ult except Rocket’s needs some type of tuning. Rocket feels like the overall most balanced support. Good healing, good mobility, good utility and the his revive and a good ult especially on a triple support comp. Nothing about him feels very strong or very weak which is a good thing.
Now, the main part of this post. I’ve dubbed these characters as the big 4 of ultimates in the game right now. These characters are Luna Snow, Mantis, Invisible Woman and Cloak & Dagger. If I had to rank these ults in terms of effectiveness, I’d say Luna—>Cloak—>Invisible Woman—>Mantis. Mantis has kind of fallen off since her ultimate is clearly the weakest, and she isn’t favored in a lot of triple support comps over characters like rocket, Loki, luna, cloak and Invisible Woman, but hers still needs a small nerf.
The best thing to do for these ultimates is to just make them take longer to charge. Cloak & Dagger especially get their ultimate every 30-40 seconds, and that leaves barely any counterplay to stop them. People can say you can just Magneto ult them but they get their ultimate 3 times before Magneto can get 1. Every other support in this big 4 gets their ultimate at a similar rate. Less uptime on these ults that make characters invincible for a set amount of time will be a great thing for this game.
Luna Snow needs a hit to the duration of her ultimate. Don’t know why hers is 12 seconds while the other ones range between 6-8 seconds. Make her ultimate 8 seconds and we’re golden.
Now to ults that I think should get buffed. I swear I’m not biased, but Loki’s ult needs some type of rework to make it easier to choose who to ult as. It isn’t the worst thing ever with double confirm, but it still feels clunky in a lot of instances. In my opinion, it should work like how The Morrigan’s ultimate works in Smite (if anyone has played that). You can press your ultimate even if you don’t have it and then select the character you want to transform into, and once you press your ultimate when you have it, you just transform into that character you previously picked. Loki’s ult would get weaker with any nerfs to other support ults, so I don’t think it should be tweaked in any other way.
Adam Warlock just needs a buff to his overall character. He feels like the weakest support by far right now. No mobility, low healing compared to every other support and an ult that doesn’t bring the most value. I’ve seen a lot of good ideas for his ult and I think the main one that should be considered is making his soul bond and heal charges refresh upon ult. I also think allies should spawn in with more health, maybe in the range of 60-70% so they just don’t get one shot a lot of the times upon revival. He really should also just get some type of buff to his movement speed because he really is just food for any flankers.
I don’t play a lot of Jeff but I feel like he can work on a triple support comp as a more dps oriented support. Basically just farming ults as fast as you can and maybe even flanking. I do believe his ult should have some more utility to it when you swallow teammates. The option is there to swallow teammates but there really isn’t a benefit to doing so, and Jeff players just immediately spit them out. I think it does heal if you swallow teammates but no one takes advantage of that. I’ve had the idea of maybe giving allies a buff when they’re swallowed and spit back out. Like maybe some damage reduction and damage buffs for a few seconds. I think it’ll make his usability a lot better.
Sorry if this is really long winded lol. I’ve had these thoughts for a few days now. I hope they target ultimates and not overall healing in the game. Healing as a support is fine in the game right now, and I think that will be more apparent once support ults stop being so overtuned. I do hope in the future we get more support ultimates that are more creative and not just “big circle that makes all allies invincible for a few seconds”. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

  1. The Bomb
I think there really was a bomb. But it may have been the US government that set it off to look like a terrorist attack so that they could invade Iran. Kinda like a “Bush-did-9/11” thing. They could also then implement some pretty militaristic and invasive policies for the "safety" of the "people." This could have incidentally led to an actual nuclear war, or not. Either way, the silos were built. and people went into them for safety. Silo 51 may indicate that the nuclear wafallout was intentional, and the government/elites wanted control over others who would create power for them. Unclear.
  1. The Poison
I think the poison may simply be the exhaust from the geothermal vent that is powering the silo. Geothermal vents commonly contain a high amount of CO2 and Hydrogen Sulfide which are denser than air. This can cause them to settle in low lying areas. The silos all appear to be built into a divot with a ridge encircling it. A pipe running the exhaust from the generator up to the silo exit would fill the divot with toxic gas. This gas would spill over the edges and prevent any life from living near the silos as plants cannot typically survive near these vents either. Further, a diverting pipe that leads into the silo could easily be opened to kill everyone. The Conroy’s blocked the pipe and that is why they said it was safe to go outside now. This could be supported by how far the silo citizens made it out of the Silo without suits and with so many people trying to go through the bottleneck that is the exit.
  1. Silo 17 and Backup Failsafes
I think Silo 17 indicates that there are other failsafes. I think with power down, The Algorithm initiated the Safeguard (toxic gas into silo and outside) and assumed they were dying but couldn’t know because the cameras were down. However, it had been capped (unknown to The Algorithm) and so they were not dying. The citizens made it very far for the gas to be what killed them. A ton made it out without suits quite a distance. I think when the first of them crested the ridge, a monitoring system saw them and realized they weren’t dying then put the pieces together. So they then activated another failsafe (or just manually killed them with guns) that the Conroy’s were unaware of.
  1. Reasons for Safeguard
    My two favorite reasons for why the safeguard is necessary are:
First, that this could lead to mass destabilization/destruction of the silo infrastructure. The silo would assumedly know where Silo 51 is and have the ability to destroy it or they could go destabilize other silos causing the power grid to fail. Either way is bad for Silo 51.
Second, there could be survivors outside. Whether these be scavengefallout style or a full society that is unaware of the experiment, silo citizens getting out could lead others to the silo or expose them in some manner. Again, less than ideal for the Silo 51/overseers.
