Hi, everyone. Ive been wanting to pursue architecture ever since I was young but I am hesitant that at the end of the day, I might regret my decision. One of the reason why I want to pursue archi is because I believe that I’d have a lot of opportunity to do since I will be learning how to draw. I was thinking that I could freelance even if its not related to architecture, like I will do commission for other things taht is related to drawing. But of course, I still want to design houses and so. Second reason is that I believe that this degree have a high salary even tho most info I see and get is that architects have low salary here in philippines. So, I am hesitant that I might not escape poverty with this profession. I want a career that will make me some how rich, like i won’t be looking at the prices when buying. Even tho i am hesitant m there is a part of me that really want to pursue this degree. Whenever someone discourages me from pursuing architecture because of its supposedly low salary, I think to myself that with time and experience, there’s a chance my earnings could get increase.
As of now, I have 3 options, architecture, civil engineering, or IT. I am mostly basing on the amount of salary these jobs has. I wanna ask architects here in philippines if are they financially okay? Also, most info I get is that the starting salary of fresh graduates architects is just around 12k+ and some say that the salary range of architects is just 20-25k per month here in Philippines. Does this amount increase with time and experience? For those who have been licensed architects for many years, do you still earn this little? I was actually expecting that architects who have been in the field for a long time earn up to a 6 digit salary.
I am asking for help to decide wether to continue this or not because I am also planning to go abroad if everything dont turn out well in the future with this degree. However, I’ve heard that going abroad is easier if you have connections, which I currently don’t have.
Will I be okay with this degree in the future? Should I pursue it or not? Please share your experiences and advice if you have any.

Am un motanel de 10 luni, steril, invatat sa stea mai mult pe afara la curte(statea si indoor mai mult cat dormea la amiaza).
