2025.01.19 16:00 Ok_Rent1164 For people who live on the east coast, name a moment, when the Bones crew were supposed to be in DC or elsewhere east coast, and it was obvious they were shooting in LA. I'll go first.
The Jersey shore episode really hit me with how west coast this show is. Whenever it is summer, no one seems hot like they do on the east coast. When I lived out west, it was always a dry, comfortable heat and so your hair looked great and you could wear a blazer and long pants and then go swimming later. That is not a thing on the east coast. If it is hot enough to wear a swimsuit or even go down the shore, you are visibly perspiring, dressing as light as your job allows and everyones hair is sticking to their forehead. I notice that all the time in Bones, in the summer episodes and just generally how no one ever seems as affected by the weather as people actually are in the east.
But when I really noticed it, in the Jersey shore episode, was everytime time they put "the" in front of a highway number. Nobody on the east coast says "get on the 95" or "take the 78". I don't know if that is just a california thing or if it is the whole west coast. We would just say "get on 95" or "take 78".

Probably the end of this month I will start the process of applying for my card for ADHD. It seems reasonable that all clinics would prescribe for ADHD as readily as any other as it is a recognised condition but wanted to know if anyone who has been prescribed for ADHD has any recommendations for a clinic? My old man is with Mamedica (for arthritis) and has had a pretty good time so far, he’s been with them for about a year now and has had no major problems. This was going to be who I would apply through but I am open to suggestions.

I am writing to all my fellow South Africans who are currently aupairs in Germany. The situation is as follows: my cousin wants to come to Germany as an aupair and the only requirement she does not meet is the A1 language certificate. She has taken the exam twice and unfortunately failed both times, the reason being that she recently finished her bachelor's degree which meant she did not have much time to study. She has not attended any german courses and has been studying with online resources and old exam papers - I was wondering the following: Since the family has to send her to German classes as soon as she arrives here, and she is contractually required to speak English with the children, is it still possible for her to go to the visa appointment and still get the visa? If the au pair visa is refused, is there a waiting period before she can apply again?
I have heard that Goethe is a bit stricter than other schools, is there any other way she can get the required certificate?
