Something that has always been on my mind is why these two jobs are so different and, above all, why the former are so well paid compared to the latter. After a detailed analysis, I think it should be the other way around. Let's go point by point:
Entry barrier
B.Engineer: very high. Few people have a Grassvalley Kayenne mixer or a Sony HDC-5500 camera chain or an EVS at home to practice. Most professional tools are very expensive and propietary.
S.Developer: Very low. Any general purpose computer will do, after all, programmers write text, structured text if we feel fancy. Not to mention that most tools are free (docker, github...).
Stress / Pressure
Just saying that the B. Engineer deals with live events there is little discussion about which work is more critical. 1 black frame can be enough to get you fired.
S.Developer: on Mondays we deploy a new update and if it doesn't work, we rollback and let's call it a day.
Work from home
B.Engineer: Difficult because we are very dependent on having the equipment (mixers, intercom). The delay makes it very difficult to work remotely and you are very dependent on teamwork.
S.Developer: No problem. Most of them are remote jobs and you can be programming from a hammock on the beach in Honolulu.
Schedules
B.Engineer: Very complicated schedules. Evenings, weekends (especially if you work in sports), nights at the MCR. Rotating shifts, you name it.
S. Developer: ‘choose your schedule, we don't care’.
Specialisation
B.Engineer: bring me an RF video specialist, bring me an ST2110 expert. These are ultra-specialised roles. In fact, most people outside the industry are not even familiar with these concepts.
S.Developer: Who hasn't heard of a web developer, or a UI/UX expert, or a database manager. There are plenty of them. Nocing fancy here.
Prestige of the profession
S.Developer: one thing they have been able to do very well is to give themselves extremely pretentious and flashy names: ‘Solutions architect’, “Full-stack developer”, “Orchestrator architect analyst of the grand lord commander”... really? Come one.
B.Engineer: on the other hand, the poor people in the sector are called with short and sad names: ‘mixer’, ‘CCU operator’, ... it's so depressing.
With all of the above, I still don't understand why the salaries of S.Developers are astronomical and those of B. Engineers are so low. There will be exceptions, as in everything, but I see the general trend as such. What do you think?
Note: I hope no one is offended. Hyperbole and a bit of humour have been used in the above text to help clarify the arguments but with no intention to belittle any sector.

I’d love to see a sports-themed course, with holes based on different sports. For example:
•American Football - Putting off a ramp through goalposts like kicking a field goal
•Hockey - Obviously an ice-based hole with sticks as obstacles
•Baseball - Putting from the pitcher’s mound, either trying to throw a strike past a swinging bat obstacle, or on hard mode, timing your putt so the bat hits the ball behind you, with different parts of the field being worth a different number of strokes
•I have no ideas for basketball but feel like it needs to be included. All I have is hitting the ball up a ramp into the hoop but feel like that would be too similar to American Football. Maybe incorporate a mechanic where the ball bounces like a basketball?
•Track - An oval-shaped course where you have to complete a certain amount of laps rather than getting in a hole. Maybe on hard there could be hurdles littered around the track as obstacles, some could have ramps so the ball can jump the hurdle
•Billiards/Pool - On a giant pool table, use your golf ball as the cue ball to sink the 8 ball into the corner pocket
•Darts/archery - Hit the ball off a ramp 3 times onto a giant target, par based off a certain score rather than number of strokes and different zones on the target are will add or subtracting from the score.
•Croquet - Very simple, hit the ball through the wickets in order
•Football/Soccer - Similar to a penalty kick, score on a robot goaltender that reacts to the ball’s position, maybe on easy it just moves back and forth in a predictable pattern)
•Bowling - Hit the ball down the lane twice, every remaining pin is worth 1 stroke on your score
•Skateboarding - Hole is designed around a skate park, with lots of ramps and half-pipes to guide you to the hole
•Downhill skiing - Hit the ball down a massive ramp before it jumps, landing on the green
•Chess - Navigate through the pieces on a giant chessboard with the goal of knocking down the king on the other side
•Curling - You get one putt to send the ball down the lane of ice, score based on proximity to the target. There are sections of the ice that are “pre-swept”, that will influence the direction or speed of the ball. On hard, there are already a few curling stones on the target to make the shot harder.
Let me hear your suggestions for other sports or improvements on the ones I have!

I spoke to my ex after 4 months break up, may be it is dumb sht to some but not to me because i loved her and wanted to fight for that love even it will put me in shame. We fought in text for two days at first lol and I apologized to for my wrongs and said the wrong sht about her, she did not apologize, but that’s okay. I won’t take the full responsibility of this failed relationship lol but tbh most of the wrong things was me, and i made her know that.
In the end She told me she loves me and she does not imagine to marry anyone but me but she is not ready for any relationship with me or anyone else on her table.
She wants to spend time with her self. I respected that. We decided to set apart and she reminded me multiple times that if i want to be part of her life، she wants that as well.
She is my gf for 4 years, I broke up with her 4 months ago and came back with my sorry a** lol. There was some issues between us. The relationship was dying , we both were always upset with no hope for better days , so one day an issue hit the roof so i broke up with her,We just could not click in. Nothing major like cheating or abuse made us broke up. Plus we more long distance most of the time.
Why would she want that, i mean to marry me or to love me, while i know for a fact that i was a horrible person with her. I followed her back on instagram, we unfollowed each other after break up. I followed her and she followed me back. I don’t think anything would make me feel i want her again unless she wants me back.
I mean why she would say that . Self-esteem boost to her? Keep me as an option in the future, she loves and still wants to marry me for real?!
I am just confused and i need an answer.
From the sense of this post, you would know that i still want her. But i will respect her decision and i would not try to get us back again.

2025.01.19 16:56 TheTakenCatking The New Kit in the Ketsukane Family Chapter 2: Kanako (Read the text before clicking on the link)
I've heard that the story felt rushed in the beginning so to solve this I decided to incorporate some of the summarized details in the original chapter 2 and make them into their chapter. Now Kanako doesn't just appear she is brought back from the lab. I also took the liberty of expanding on the dialogue that happens in the degradation chapter since previously the only person who had a reference for their dialogue was Ceroba, now Kanako's, Starlo's, and Martlet's dialogue from the string of memories seen in that chapter is in the story.
While I was shaving down the parts of chapter 2 (now chapter 3) that included the details of the now chapter 2. While I was in there I also edited for grammar mistakes and reformated some of the paragraphs to make them easier to read. The next chance I get I will start on chapter 13. If you made it this far I wold like to request you go into the comments of this post and answer a question that I have regarding the future of this story.
