I know that this sub has mostly sci-fi and fantasy fans here and I dont expect a large degree of interest, but for those here that like literary philosophical fiction I was wondering if this is a book only I find worth writing.
Not Really Living is a realistic and nuanced portrayal of a young man caught in the grip of the male loneliness epidemic. Detached from meaningful connection, he navigates a world marked by societal decay while searching for value in his existence. The story examines isolation, existential frustration, and the quiet struggle to find purpose in a fragmented society.
Regardless, I am fairly far along with this book and I am going to see it done, just curious if it was something others might want to see when it is.

I'm guessing this is a common type of question recently. But I think missing a generation was a good idea for me, being on a 3090ti. But now I think it's time, though I don't think I can quite justify ÂŁ2000 for the full 5090! So at a 'decent' price in comparison, I'm considering goiNg for the imenent 5080. My only reservations are the 16GB VRAM. I know it's faster bandwidth etc. But just worried about games hitting this limit pretty soon?? Am I overthinking it? Also, is there anything else I should consider? E.g. only the 5090 would make the switch worth it.

Hi everyone,
Iâm trying to create my own DIY desk and would really love to get your advices on the best way to position the legs. Hereâs what Iâm working with:
Desk Top:
- Size: 200 cm long, 70 cm wide, and 2.7 cm thick.
- Material: Solid birch.
- Two square legs that span the full 70 cm width of the desk. Picture.
- Right side: A computer (~15 kg).
- Middle back: Three monitors on a stand (~10 kg).
- Center: Keyboard, mouse, and mouse pad.
- Front (in front of me): Joystick mounts + joysticks (~4 kg).
If more support is needed, Iâm considering either adding a central leg (positioned to stay out of the way) or installing a brace under the desk to help distribute the load.

I just got a Meta Quest 3 and I'm trying to setup Steamvr on my laptop with Steamlink on my headset and I keep getting an error on my headset that says 'your headset is connected to a host pc, but no video is being streamed'. And when I look at Steamvr on my laptop a little window pops up that says 'Video Encoder Error'.
I am a complete stranger when it comes to computer specs and such but from what I could research and understand my Lenovo Legion Y540-17IRH Type 81SX laptop should meet the requirements.
My specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59GHz
Installed RAM: 16.0 GB
Display adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
Ive updated my driver, my computer is connected to an ethernet cable for a wired connection to the internet and my headset is plugged into the computer via its USB charger cable.
Is there something I'm missing or am I wrong about my laptops specs meeting the requirements?
If so do I need a new computer?
Is there an alternative where I can still use my current computer?
Do I need to upgrade my display adapter?

Hi all. My MS3 has had a consistently high fuel trim since I've had it for the last ~6 years. At times, it's resulting in a CEL although it's been without for the last year or so.
Some info on the car:
* 2010 MS3 with ~100k miles
* Averaging ~12% fuel trim (short + long). LTFT never gets below 10%.
* New Denso MAF
* CAI with new aFe dry filter
* Refurbished OEM turbo ~5k miles ago
* stock tune (but I do have a Cobb tuner, no idea how to use it though)
* Upgraded HPFP internals
* Borla cat-back exhaust
Before I take it in, I'm curious if the high fuel trim is due purely because of increased airflow or if this is likely due to something like a vacuum leak.
