Our dog Watson is a pit mix, about 2.5 years old. We adopted him when he was around 6 months. Initially he was fearful around other dogs, but he gradually outgrew that and became more comfortable around dogs and people to the point of ignoring them. He developed bonds with our parents and friends. However, over the past year he’s become increasing reactive - to new adults, kids, and dogs. Some he completely ignores, others trigger him to lunge, bark, and nip.
He is such a cuddly sweetheart to the people he likes. I hate that he now gets so aggressive and scary and fulfills the “pitbull stereotype” around certain people and dogs. Even worse is that we can never predict who or what will trigger him (other than a dog sniffing around his ball).
We have never done formal training with him but clearly we need to, and we will. My husband and I are thinking to have kids in one to two years, but I’m worried our dog will be triggered by our future kids.
Are there certain types of trainers we should look for? If anyone has had a similar experience, have you gotten to a point of trusting your dog around others - esp kids?

I am looking at getting the apec ROES-50. I have a toddler and a newborn on the way so we are constantly buying distilled water for humidifier and sterilizers ect…. My questions might be kind of dumb. I want to use this as drinking water as well. From reading it is not good to drink straight RO water. Do I need to add a mineralized filter? But if I do that will I still need to buy distilled water since it will once again have minerals in it and cause build up in the baby items? Any ways around this? Thank you all for the help!

I’ve always been seen as in the middle—not skinny but not fat. Recently I’ve been having trouble controlling myself around food. So my question is where do I start? How do I start losing weight? I currently weigh 180; I want to lose 20 pounds for now. I'm young, but I don’t want to be fat, and comments from my family have been getting to me lately.

Bom galera, basicamente meu sogro é idoso, ele tem 80 anos, ainda lúcido, ele tem um bom patrimônio, possui cuidadora, não passa nenhuma necessidade.
Pra contextualizar bem resumidamente, ele (inclusive enquanto jovem) sempre gostou de fazer terror psicológico com os filhos, minha namorada tem 5 irmãos, 4 deles fugiram pra outras cidades/paises para fugir dele, além disso minha sogra também mora nos EUA e fugiu por perseguição dele, basicamente ele é narcista mas não foi diagnosticado, mas tudo que ele faz envolve o próprio interesse e bem dele, ele já teve mais de 100 cuidadoras, muitas delas saíram chorando, pediram demissão, etc, precisaram de terapia… enfim acho que já deu pra entender
No natal eu e minha namorada não chamamos ele e chamamos minha família, inclusive nos damos super bem, e basicamente ele abriu um BO contra ela e o irmão que deixaram ele em casa (com cuidadora) no natal, falou sobre Abandono Afetivo e me citou dizendo que eu fico incentivando minha namorada a tratar ele mal e a abandonar ele
Ele não tem provas, nunca fiz isso, mal falo com ele pra evitar qualquer problema, além disso tenho conversas no WhatsApp com ele desejando energias boas, feliz natal, desejando um bom relacionamento dele com minha namorada (alguns ele nem responde, pq ele só responde quando é pra fazer algo para ele, falar com alguém, etc) mas em nenhum momento tem nenhuma prova em que trato ele mal
Então resumindo, ele entrou em contato com a delegacia do idoso, me citou nesse protocolo, mas no documento não tem prova de nada, o que isso pode ocasionar para mim e minha namorada? Eu posso processar ele por me acusar de algo que eu não fiz? Estou preocupado pois realmente eu evitava contato com ele justamente pra não ocorrer esse tipo de coisa, obrigado amigos
