Faz anos que gosto de um amigo meu de infância (talvez ele nem saiba disso). Ele até já gostou de mim, mas eu nunca percebi, porque era muito nova.
Nós nos seguimos no Instagram e, há uns dois meses, comecei a curtir os stories dele, as notas e até o coloquei nos meus close friends. Ele também curte os meus stories e notas, mas ainda não tive coragem de chamá-lo na DM.

Hi. For two months I was heavily researching the topic of jackets. For many years I felt extremely extremely cold unless I wore at least 5 layers underneath a winter jacket even at 30F (-1).
And because everyone is persuaded that Patagonia products are BIFL, I chose a Downdrift (600FP) parka model. It was my first down parka and I had expectations that it’ll finally solve my problems and I won’t have to layer like an insane onion while everyone else wears plain shirts.
Long story short, after a day of hiking at 30F (-1) in wet winter conditions with 3 sweaters underneath, I had to return the parka to the store.
I was very disappointed and frustrated. I started to check Arcteryx, Fjallraven, TNF. Most of them also had an GP (550-700), which was not enough for me. I had 2 more days to buy a jacket until my trip to a colder country. And Simond Makalu in Decathlon was available right in the store.
Simond Makalu is a down jacket, 800FP, which, according to Riddet, people wear in Alps and Himalayan with success. And Decathlon said, it was their warmest jacket. I still felt that I took a leap of faith, but the price of it was 4x cheaper than the brands above.
On the way to the store I wore 1)a thin hoodie 2)a 100% wool sweater 3)a vest 4)a scarf and 5)an old jacket. On the way back I wore 1)a thin hoodie 2) a vest 3)Simond Makalu.
And oh boy was I happy. For 4 winter seasons I’ve never wore so few layers while feeling so warm. I am in love with the model and color. And every time it gets chilly, and I hop on a tram, it takes 5 mins to warm up and the jacket holds the warmth. In Patagonia, my hands were cold even in the pockets. Today it was slightly warmer but keeping hands in the pockets was really comfy too. When I came to a restaurant, after a couple of minutes I wanted to unzip and I finally wasn’t shivering.
I have a very weak blood circulation, and I need to wear a winter jacket from October till March. But with Simond I feel happy to do it. It’s stylish and it’s the lightest jacket I’ve owned. I really cannot believe my purchase. The price quality ratio is unbelievable.
If you are really cold in the winter, please consider this jacket. I’m out of myself with joy.

Thanks to everyone who offered advice on how to navigate a coin show. I’m back, and here’s what I have to report:
- There were very few ancients, aside from some flipped bronzes that were effectively unidentifiable. People were there primarily for American and world coins.
- People were very nice to my 6yo son, who was happy to buy a random Russian coin, a $2 buffalo nickel, some 18th c. (?) Chinese coins, and the like. Most dealers voluntarily reduced their prices for him or threw in extras without our asking. One dealer even gave him the inexpensive Belgian coin he wanted to buy—despite the fact we weren’t buying anything else from him.
- A guy coughed directly in my face at close range.

Whenever I put the pitch shifter on (any of the available ones), going below 1 Semi tone (it's present with 1 semi tone but barely noticeable) I get a very noticeable effect of what sounds like an octave pedal (think that's right?). I haven't had this problem prior to the Archetype X compatibility update. I try to shift down my 7 string for a few sleep token riffs and it gets ruined by that octave type sound.

I played a game earlier and had a group of 4 in front of me with terrible etiquette - took multiple tee shots while other players behind were waiting, shouting while others in the group were teeing off, standing on the green long after they’ve finished putting and holding up play etc.
I’m a casual player (once or twice a week) so thankfully don’t see this very often, but it got me to thinking - what’s the worst golf etiquette you’ve seen while playing over the years?

I was at a party yesterday, everyone was having a good time and there was a group of guys playing guitar, and I was with my friend, and we went close and my friend said “Damn, this is the autistic section of the party” and he and I laughed out loud, and one of the guys who was playing guitar was his friend, and instead of arguing with him for making the joke and laughing, he argued with me for just laughing... I hate that man, being used as a scapegoat sucks. He apologized afterwards and I just didn't stand up for myself because it was his birthday...

Simple question, what are the Pros and Cons of using Dunbar's Number as a basis for determining the limit of the community size where a communistic type society could conceivably work?
At large scale, centralized planning creates inefficiencies, but there's a community size between a nation the size of the United States and an individual person where there is enough social cohesion to allow for essentially communism to work. We can safely say that a "family unit" can run effectively in this manner, where could the limit be?
For the record. My personal opinion on this thing seems to align with communism breaking down, as the title suggests, somewhere around Dunbar's Number for human beings. (Which admittedly is arrived at by taking the volume of a human brain and correlating it to observations on the correlation between brain volume and other primate communities.)
The hutterites, seem to use this (I don't know if they do it conciously) to determine when a new colony must be built based on the current size of an existing colony.

This is probably gonna get downvoted but whatever
I’ve been following Dream since before his first controversy in 2020 and defended him even in situations where there was some valid criticism (the speedrun controversy mainly), but recently he was showing a more chill personality and he hadn’t gotten into a major drama in a while, very uncommon for him
But then as we enter 2025 Dream posts the tweet which started all of this, it would have been a fine (though not necessary) tweet had he removed the slur included. I will say it was disrespectful to call a community of millions a slur which has most likely been used to bully and harass a large part of Tommy’s community, Dream definetly knows about the large amount of neurodivergent people in his community so calling them that was uncalled for
Also, despite claiming he said that as a way to “reclaim“ the slur (Reclaiming isnt calling other neurodivergent people that slur), he previously had expressed an opinion that he would never say that.
Ok so what Dream did there was horrible but surely that can’t be the only reason right
Now for the other reason, how his ex friends reacted to the controversy and what was revealed after, all of the DSMP calling him out except his closest friends revealed a lot of things about Dream and his treatment of/around the DSMP members, sure those CCs would have gotten hate had they publicly defended him but they could have not said anything in that case, also multiple credible (some not but the majority of them are) people calling out misogynistic tendencies of dream and the DSMP indicates a deeper problem within his treatment of other people
Now we move on to the last reason this post, the fake editor screenshots, a lot has been said about them but I’ll say that it has been verifiably proven that Dream has distorted the truth in a way that favours him and puts others in a bad position
Ending this post saying this is not a defense of some of the Brighton group’s members (They have done a lot of wrong too) and that if you’re reading this Dream, I suggest you leave twitter (possibly also take a break from youtube) and rethink your previous actions.
