I’ve already finished Network+, so I’d like to take Sec+ right away since I’m planning to take the exam. After that, I’m interested in SSCP. Or do I have to stick to the classes they assign?

2025.01.19 18:01 googlekitten Trying to build a secure attachement: fear of sabotage
Asking for tips, success stories, etc. etc.
Former Fearful Avoidant leaning anxious, that is trying very hard to become secure here.
After a relationship that triggered very painful, hidden core wounds, I decided to go into dating differently, meaning, slowing down attachement, have better boundaries, get better at self regulating, staying present with my emotions, trying to be radically honest about how I felt, etc. etc.
Earlier this year, I dated someone for a couple months. It ended up not working but I was very happy of the day I dealt with all of it in a secure way: I stayed curious to see if that person could meet my needs and if I could meet them and choose to put an end to it when I saw things more clearly. It was pretty peaceful and I think the fact that I was starting to feel anxious informed me that it wasnt a relationship for me.
3 months ish ago, I met someone that I really really like. The first 2 months, we were seeing each other every weekend, having a lot of communication in between. I think it was the first time of my life I didn't feel anxious or overwhelmed by early attachement. It felt reciprocal, romantic, sexy, fun and deep. He come off to me as a secure person but he also mentionned having had difficult relationships in the past which tells me he could come from insecure attachment. I also only dated avoidants or anxious attachers in the past so there's a part of me that is not really believing I could have met a secure person, aha.
So here's when things get a bit more messy. When we met, he had this trip already planned, pretty much around the world. So it meant he would be gone for almost 2 months. He told me that when he leaves, he communicates less because he wants to be present (seeing a lot of friends and family), which I completely understand.
This breaking of our communication pattern tho really triggered my anxiety. I talked to him about it and since then we talked more as he been very understanding and kind, but there's a part of me that feels like it broke something. I have been really hesitant to tell him how much it affected me because I dont want to ruin his trip but oh god it has been a ride. I restreined myself many time to tell him I wanted to stop everything. I think it's really hard for me to not be ashamed of feeling this way.
Also, he is coming back soon but I am scared that I've distorted the idea of him in my anxiety madness. I am also scared of not being able to be entirely myself due to the fear of rejection that grew during his absence.
On that note, please send HELP :) I dont want to fuck it up!

2025.01.19 18:01 DullEar2281 Day 3 vs day 5 transfer for single embryo?
Hey folks. So we just went through a stim cycle. My wife’s afc was 11 at baseline and her peak e2 on trigger day was 1750 so we were hoping for more but they only retrieved 5 eggs, only 2 were mature and only one was fertilized.
My wife’s devastated but I’m still hoping for the one embryo to hang in there and come through. She had 6 follicles growing above 10mm. 3 were above 20mm, the rest were 19mm, 13mm and 12mm.
She was on a high dose protocol (450 Gonal + 150 Menopur).
We also did dual trigger with 20,000 IU Pregnyl and 80mg (twice, 12hrs apart) Lupron. So I feel like we did everything we could to help them mature.
Since we only have the single embryo, we now have to decide whether to do a day 3 or wait until day 5 to do the transfer. Curious what this sub thinks about the upsides/downsides with each? Is there a reason why one would wait until day 5 if there’s only one embryo?
