There are so many videos where Carrie claims she'll act overcome by how expensive an item of clothing is. Like when she was reviewing clothing from luxury clothing brands and couldn't believe how a dress or a sweater were priced. I think she even said she could never imagine spending more than $100 on a sweater.
Those Daydreamer tees she talked about in today's video cost at least $100 EACH, and she has THREE of them. She spent $300 on 3 lousy tshirts. I'm speechless. Like, she can't conceive of a dress costing a couple hundred dollars and will only buy them if they are second-hand but she thinks nothing of blowing some people's entire grocery budget for a month on 3 cotton tshirts.
I can't get over her thinking.

So I’m in Portugal and made some local calls here. Portugal phone numbers are nine digits long and even if you just dial the local nine digits, your call registers the +351 country code as well.
Well, Freedom thinks I’m calling US area code 351 and I’m paying over $10 PER CALL.
Now to Freedoms credit, after a lengthy chat session they did reverse those call charges, but holy crap.
I love the Roam Beyond plan as I’m using my 2FA a lot, but having to get ahold of support to reverse huge long distance charges after making local calls is a serious pain in the ass.
So if you’re somewhere where the country code is the same as a US or non-Canadian area code, or whatever, pay close attention to your call usage history as you might be paying a ton for calls.

2025.01.19 18:53 WERE_A_BAND How do you win solo?
I just got the app, and I've played a fair amount of solo games recently. I definitely enjoy it a little less, but still an awesome game. As I increase the difficulty I'm playing against, it seems to be a fear victory every single time I win (playing around difficulty 8 right now on random adversary). Right now I'm winning maybe 80% if that makes a difference.
This seems to be independent of which spirit I'm playing - the ones with bad fear generation just end up with a million invaders before the fear victory happens.
I haven't really played higher difficulty with multiple people before - is this typical for solo, or am I just bad at clearing invaders?
It's kind of reducing my fun level a little, because the fear victory doesn't seem as satisfying. I know there are no spirit island police saying I have to keep increasing the difficulty but that is fun for me as well.
Any tips or feedback appreciated!

You feel proud of an artwork at the time, but as your skill progresses, you realize the mistakes you made in past artworks. Do you go back and try to fix them?
I have done so in some cases where the drawing just needs some more or cleaner shadows or better line quality. There's other cases though like this where I could fix the shadows, but the head feels small and it would take too much effort to fix that.
