Exiten diversos argumentos válidos para decidir no tener hijos hoy en día, una de ellas suele ser económicas, criar un hijo implica un coste significativo, sobre todo si uno no tiene una estabilidad financiera para ofrecer una buena vida a los críos, a su vez también requiere mucha responsabilidad y compromiso para la crianza del niño. Creo que la maternidad y la paternidad pueden tener un gran impacto en la salud física y mental de los padres, porque muchas veces uno, no está preparado, como en casi todo lo que nos ocurre en la vida, pero poco se habla de ello. Llevo mucho tiempo analizando este tema para tomar una decisión. Preguntando sobre este tema en otros subs.. Muchas personas simplemente prefieren vivir sin hijos y sienten que su vida es más plena, sin la responsabilidad adicional que conlleva criar un hijo, sin hijos pueden tener más libertad para viajar, explorar nuevas oportunidades, desarrollar proyectos personales sin estar atados a las necesidades de una familia. Cada persona tiene razones únicas y válidas para tomar decisiones en relación con la paternidad y es importante respetar estás elecciones. Vosotros qué opináis??

Does anyone feel like they live a half life?
Ever since the pandemic but I could see signs of it before then, my life just seems less full than it used to. I feel this coincided with more and more friends settling down. I sort of also realize that I might not have properly cultivated friendships in these years. I'm sort of here in my 30s feeling like my friends have outgrown me or me them. I don't think I'll end up in a relationship tbh and that's fine but the lack of vibrant social life kills me. I've tried to do activities to create a richer social life but I just can't seem to fill that gap. I feel as if am just sort of drifting into middle age. Not old before my time exactly but shoehorned into living a homebody life which I don't really want to. The problem is I don't feel like I particularly fit in anywhere; I don't have any jump off points with my friends really anymore as they pursue the marriage and mortgage combo, but I also feel too old around younger people. It's like I have no niche.

Hi
Is it possible to toggle an HA entity from a bash script running on an external machine on my network?
I would like my TrueNAS to prevent HA from powering down computers when it is running a backup job. I thought I would create an jnput_boolean which would stop some automations. But is there some REST API that I could (ab)use to flip it by issuing a curl command? Or is there some other way?

I’m renting a town home and have a garage that I want to use to charge my nissan leaf, i use the provided trickle charger for my nissan leaf usually, but unfortunately the outlet in my garage is not grounded and so it won’t charge my car currently. The plug requires a grounded outlet, and I didn’t think to check before I moved in(stupid I know). Is there an easy way to ground the outlet myself(ie not requiring cutting into the wall), or do I need to try to get my landlord to do it? If an actual electrician is needed, how involved will the process be and do you know how expensive it would be? I could offer to pay for it with my landlord. The outlet is a normal one and does have a third prong which i thought meant it had to be grounded /: I have access to the breaker box as well. The code in my county does require gfci outlets in garage, but i think the garages haven’t been remodeled in a while, so i don’t think they have to have them currently unfortunately. Thanks!
